I was thinking from the title that we had the wonderful Arni the Tourist Hater back for a moment. This horse must surely have a certificate from Arni's biting school.
Amazing the number of people who can not read! The NEW sign ALL IN “CAPS” that YELLS “BEWARE - HORSES MAY KICK OR BITE -- the new line DON’T TOUCH THE BRIDLE, recently added, yet so many think rules are for somebody else. So much praise for all military serving this duty tour, especially those on guard duty, so much patience needed and displayed, while serving so many who think this is just a tourist attraction. But then so much of our military is disrespected, our nation’s would not have what freedoms we have if not for their service to their specific nation. Our liberties in the USA are being challenged daily by a government that is becoming more and more tyrannical.
Why would these people want to stand so close and continue to try and touch the horse after being told not to touch the horse, and obviously seeing the horse is in the biting mood! These tourists are unbelievable. One lady looked annoyed she couldn’t get a second picture because the horse kept trying to bite her. I don’t know how the guards put up with their nonsense. I’m from the USA and I can’t believe how the tourists behave. They can’t even respect each other as they all try to surround the guard to get a picture. Totally ridiculous!

Guard does not hold conversations with idiots. There is a sign !! Just watched a man in blue top keep trying to grab the horse repeatedly despite the horse making it clear it would bite!
These horses are so good at "reading" people. Wonderful that, for the most part, they don't go after the small children. Good to see. Horses are very intuitive.
Small children, older kids, young & older teens respect the horse’s warnings & move off! In fact, they try not to crowd the horse in the first place - it’s their parents who shove them in too close!
I saw a video yesterday with 2 adults in wheelchairs, one with probably cerebral palsy, the other was older, each had an attendant. They placed the wheelchairs on each side of the horse, the guard didn’t say anything, the horse gently nuzzled each man & the response of, especially the man with CP, was pure joy & excitement. The horse was rock solid steady & gave these 2 gentlemen a pure moment of joy. He never reacted to the wheelchairs, allowed the attendants to position them to get a good picture. That was just so nice to see. Much nicer than those who react as if they are entitled to do whatever they want & show absolutely no respect for soldier or horse.

My entire career of over 45 years was spent working with horses in virtually every capacity. Ever since I started watching these videos, I have been predicting this behavior would develop over time with some and eventually nearly all the guard’s horses that are continually exposed to these IDIOT tourists. Horses prefer to be left alone, and when they are not, they find ways to express that, and sometimes it develops into aggression. Under these circumstances, I cannot blame them. And some of these people just do not get the message the horse is trying to send. I expect that eventually someone will get seriously hurt, I just hope that it is not a child.
The horses shouldn't be made to do this job when it is evident they are distressed by it. I rode horses for over a decade and wouldn't go near this beautiful horse displaying his stress and body language he isn't happy being around the people and noise.
@@Cozycountry1 Well said, indeed. Granted, I’m not from England, and I may be missing something here, but this seems to be a long-outdated function for the justly revered Royal Mounted Horse Guard. I keep saying it, but it is inevitable that some will eventually get seriously hurt as a result, and I hope it is not an innocent child. This so-called guarding of the gates of White Hall can easily and far more effectively be accomplished by the heavily armed police already stationed there.
100%. You are right in your observations, I am British born and bred, anti-royal, but this guarding on horseback is just more of a display for so called "tradition". The job can easily be done by a guard standing on a 2 hour rotation rather than using horses simply for decorative purposes because we are lumbered with a "royal family". It is inevitable a tourist will be kicked or bitten, the sign is next to the horse and guard, but the dumb tourists still want a picture next to a distressed animal. I hate to see the horses clearly upset and telling everybody, please go away, I hate this role and all that goes with it. I am thinking of starting a petition to end the use of horses in this capacity. Even number 10 Downing Street has police standing on guard for the Primeminister and other ministers for protection so that family, only in the position by birth, don't need horses standing there being subjected to conditions which thry obviously hate.

they should have the signs on BOTH sides as many of the tourists approaching from the other side don't see the one - and the tourist guides should educate their groups - many of these eejits seem to think they can 'control' these mounts by waving at their heads or trying to push them away - love how they get their picture taken with the warning sign as the background! 🤣 if these horses and King's guards were not so well trained, a 1,600 to 1,800 pound agitated military horse moving toward these idiot tourists would make them move away quickly!
@@helencutler-hu1jg Hi, there’s nothing to indicate that it’s a warning sign either. The tourists are focused on one thing as far as I can see and that’s getting their photo taken. I doubt if even the people standing next to the sign even notice it. Maybe if there was something done to make it stand out and show that it’s warning of danger then people would pay more attention to it.

Why would anyone want to get so close to a horse that theyve seen try to bite loads of people? Look at his ears !! I think when he got back to the stable that night he won the golden horse shoe award for most bites attempted😂😂❤❤❤❤
At times, it's as if they are daring the horse to bite. Then they crowd in and wave their hands at him when he is warning them. He isn't biting them he's just nipping.
Looks like the horses have finally had it with these rude touchy feely tourists. Get in his space and get bit. Good for the horse. It's drawing it's own comfort zone.
what a nice-looking guy on the horse he is so pleasant and just enjoying doing his job its nice to see as it must be a boring job sitting there for 2 hours
Does this happen in other countries or is it just here? I am really surprised that there is no real control of the tourists. You can tell the ones who are used to being around horses.

He be spicy today… and don’t care who…😂
they should have the signs on BOTH sides as many of the tourists approaching from the other side don't see the one - and the tourist guides should educate their groups - many of these eejits seem to think they can 'control' these mounts by waving at their heads or trying to push them away - love how they get their picture taken with the warning sign as the background! 🤣
if these horses and King's guards were not so well trained, a 1,600 to 1,800 pound agitated military horse moving toward these idiot tourists would make them move away quickly!
Great comment battles146
Not all the foreign tourists can read English.
@shirleyanneyoung955 hi Shirley, most tourists use the translation apps. If they see a sign you would think they'd be curious about what it says😊
@shirleyanneyoung955 I agree. Maybe if the sign was written in red on a white background, it would stand out more as a warning.
Ik snap niet dat mensen het paard willen aaien, het paard heeft zijn oren in zijn nek liggen,en geeft de waarschuwing....raak mij niet aan,en evengoed doen ze het, onvoorstelbaar.
So THIS is Ormonde - l do like him. Glad I found his name in the comments....woukd hate to have continued calling him "three socks nippy". 😊
About time..I would like to line up the tourist and have everyone passive by rub their noses!!!
Hahahaha
Horse wondering when is the hour up?
😊
I'm sure some tourists think they are horse whispers
It always fascinates me how the horses differentiate between human adults and children. Ormonde attempted to bite virtually every adult that got close but not that little girl at 14:17
Love this horse he won't take any messing about,he let's them know to leave him alone.Bless you horse and rider thank you for your service to our country.
I love these bitey horses!
Ormonde makes it abundantly clear what he thinks of these intrusive tourists and that he is on duty. If only he could tell his horse friends after work and show them how to do it ❤❤❤❤❤❤
He’s good with the children bless him ❤
love this horse
Why would anyone want to get so close to a horse that theyve seen try to bite loads of people? Look at his ears !! I think when he got back to the stable that night he won the golden horse shoe award for most bites attempted😂😂❤❤❤❤
It's high time this ridiculous nonsense was stopped and they were forbidden to photograph.
Which part of ‘get the hell away from me’ don’t these people understand ? That horse is absolutely tired of being bothered by them.
I love this horse! He’s my spirit animal!😹
The horses ears are back. It means he’s mad. You don’t stick you hand in his face of a mad horse. There is no depth to stupid.
"I'm sick of these pesky tourists, I'm going to have some fun today"
That is hilarious that the naughty horse is wanting to bite.
At times, it's as if they are daring the horse to bite. Then they crowd in and wave their hands at him when he is warning them. He isn't biting them he's just nipping.
It’s amazing how many people don’t seem to understand that the horse doesn’t want them crowding around. They seem to think it’s a game
Smart horse, he knows when enough is enough.
Those horses can tell time😮😮😮!!! They know EXACTLY when their hour in the box is over, and starts fidgeting 😮 Beautiful creatures ❤
Good boy! The tourist are aggravating to the horses, I don't blame them for biting. They are beautiful and I love the videos. ❤
It’s a tough job for horse & guard - standing/sitting in one spot! Leave them be! Take photos from a distance!
Looks like the horses have finally had it with these rude touchy feely tourists. Get in his space and get bit. Good for the horse. It's drawing it's own comfort zone.
Gotta love Ormonde!!! He's just returning the favor because so many tease him and laugh...keep them in line 😂😂
I love Ormande and Arnie ❤
Omgoodness he/she is fiesty today. And yet people continue to try and pet him /her. I guess they have to kick them before some sense gets in
Yes!😂😂😂😂😂
You've got to love this biter!
what a nice-looking guy on the horse he is so pleasant and just enjoying doing his job its nice to see as it must be a boring job sitting there for 2 hours
1hour on duty in the box then changed over .
That poor horse having to put up with the stupidity of some people
It's amazing how he doesn't react at all with children.
But adults beware..........😊 love it
He just wants space 😮
This is Arnie’s protege 😂
These horses are working and should not be petted while working! Just like a service dog!
Guards must love working with him, he demands personal space, he won't stand for crowding or nonsense. ❤
Does this happen in other countries or is it just here? I am really surprised that there is no real control of the tourists. You can tell the ones who are used to being around horses.
I've never come across anything similar in other countries. The closest that I have witnessed is the changing of the Royal Moroccan Guard in Rabat. 🇲🇦
They must get tired of standing there being so beautifully regal ❤❤❤. The sign says watch out for biting horses😂. Sometimes you have to break out.👍
