I had Home Sheild and they sounded great in all ways i xared about ~ however my micrwave over the stove just stopoed working so calk American Sheiled and they came over looked at it and told me that my microwave has been "Abused" , a term a never heard in regards to a mircowave, and told me that they could not help me repair or replace it~ my 85 yr old mom andmyself were the only ones using it so i asked him " How was it Abused?" he mumbled words in a different language picked up his tools and left!
So i call home Sheild and told them what happened and they said that there wasnt anything they could due and that it wasnt their depts responsibility and hung up! I was totally livid by this time and decided to cancel our contract with them but was not able to fet any funds back even though i had paid for the year and it was only March~ so yes read every little word and dont assume anyrhing ~ 11:46

This video format is way better. Keep this host and maybe include a segment where you interview other consumers.

I have American Water Resources in northeast PA. and all i can tell you that they suck. Going 2 weeks without A/C in the summertime sucks. Each time I called I was told they'd call me back within 24-48 hours, which never happened. Thx God for my daughter's fiancé being able to figure out the problem.

Thank you for this info. I have had American Home Shield for almost 20 years and 4 homes and once I went up another company and in less than 3 months I returned to them. I recommend them highly, but like you said you have yo know the rules to really benefit.
    Thank you.

Seems it's better to take the money you'd pay these companies annually and save it, yourself, in an account for repairs.

We have Cinch and its deff a mixed bag. It took them a week to get an electrician to our home for an issue but when we needed a plumber for clogged drain pipe the plumber was out the next day. Both contractors did a good job.

Over the years, I've used about three or four different home warranty companies and they all are terrible and very frustrating to deal with. They will find any excuse to deny your claim. You're better off taking that money and putting it into a savings account that way you'll have the funds when something breaks in your home to fix it.

Thank God I have my Legal shield Membership, I need it now. New purchase closed 2/29/24
A/C does not blow cold air
Tokay HVAC CAME OUT SAID they told former owner that new unit was needed. 1/26/24.

I also have Fidelity and the funny thing when they said I have to pay the deductible before setting an appointment for service, as soon as I said I accept, they automatically took my payment oh my! Their system takes your money faster than the light speed! But I spent my summer without AC being taken cared of since they had “to decide first” if my request was acceptable according to their .05 mm text height protocols which they are so hard to understand and read. Bottom line they replaced the condenser which the tec contractor said it costs 5k$, is that really true and fidelity said I have to pay 1,400$ out my pocket 😢. I paid and the AC cold air I can hardly feel
It. They said is because my house is too big that’s why air is hard to feel : /. Is that really true?

Check out 2-10 home warranty. It has done me pretty good. I have had about $16,750.00 worth of repairs and replacements and I am out of pocket about $1,500.00. I am pretty happy with them and will renew for a third year. Too many experience details to type when youtube cuts off your comments before you're through commenting and then you have to start all over. Sorry.

I have First American Home Warranty. They'll take your monthly payment but good luck trying to get them to fix anything. It took 3 months just to fix a microwave. I'm now trying to get them to repair my HVAC . It took them 2 weeks to get a tech to do a diagnostic. After that they closed it without doing any repair. I am now on the 8th day after the tech diagnosed the problem and nothing is being done. I'm calling them daily and they tell me the same thing. "Still waiting for the tech report". I'll be cancelling if and when this issue is resolved. I'll just be getting extended warranty from the company I bought the product from. More reliable and local. This Company is all about taking your money .

I had American Home Shield for years they were pretty good. Now they are not! They refused to repair Mt washing machine or repair it. They said it was not normal wear and tear. The machine is 20 yrs old! They sent some one out to repair a ceiling fan, the company who came out wanted me to rent a ladder for $60 to repair my fan! They came out to look at my Central AC unit and wanted $2000 deductible! That is when I canceled my services with American Homeshield! I am putting my money in a separate account, so if something breaks I can replace, or repair it myself!

This video could be reduced to about 30 seconds. All these home warranties are a waste of money. Consumers are better off starting a savings account dedicated to emergency home repairs. Put $250 in a month and actually have money ready when something needs repaired.

So I had American First home warranty for years. I will say that it was my first experience and it wasn't bad.
So this year, decided to try another one which was cheaper.
Clinch approaches me at Sam Club. So I wanted to see what they were about. I had to sign up with my credit card. I had to wait 14 days to get the package about what they cover. Then I get an email like two weeks after that saying my coverage will start next month. I was like HELL NO!!! I called to cancel because I was told that I would only get the package and not charge. When I called I told them I want to cancel, gave the name of the sales person. This is the sam club I go weekly, to them to make sure he doesn't work there again or I will slap this motherfucker. I have not see him since.
So 45 days ago I went with Choice. They have the best reviews. This morning I had to cuss out one of the managers this morning. In one part of our conversation, she said " Excuse me? " I said " Your excused but don't let happen again" they proceed to cuss her out. I said cancel my shit and refund that shit now.
So fucked both Clinch and Choice..
