  • I have to mention that after testing on the field the second version I concluded that the 250psi that I used in chrono test is to much resulting in dropping range and accuracy. I recommend around 130psi instead.
    ----------------------------
    Here's a build that proves you don't need any fancy HPA engine or batteries to make a HPA sniper rifle that performes the same as any expensive one and is extremely silent.
    You can download the .stl files from here:
    cults3d.com/en/3d-model/vario...
    In case you wonder about the silencer, go here:
    www.begadi.com/begadi-metall-...
    These are the materials I used:
    0,3 l Air tank
    6mm high pressure hose
    "L" shaped high pressure fittings 1/8" threads (2pcs)
    Straight high pressure fittings 1/8" threads (4pcs including the one for the air capsule)
    800 psi regulator
    0-300 psi regulator + refill adapter(1/2" threads X 1/8" threads)
    Maple Leaf VSR inner barrel 430mm X 6.04mm
    Maple Leaf VSR hop-up bucking Mr Hop 70°
    Silencer
    TAC2 31V valve (1/8" threads)
    M3 X 10mm screws with nuts (2pcs)
    M4 X 8mm screws with nuts (7pcs)
    M5 X 15mm screws (2pcs)
    Magazine springs 5.5mm X 0.3mm X 200mm (spring diameter X spring wire diameter X length)
    Magazine ball blocker spring 4.5mm X 0.5mm X 6.5mm
    Magazine push-to-switch section spring 6mm X 0.7mm X 15mm
    Neodymium magnets 10mm X 10mm X 2mm (4pcs)
    Air capsule (total length 83.5mm)
    1/2" cap
    1/2" fitting (inner threads to outer threads)
    1/2" to 1/8" reducer
    For more details, feel free to ask any questions.

    very nice design! very very good. PS: the "mini-tank" in the pistol grip is some kind of "air reservoir"? making it smaller could decrease output power?

    • @BiG_1977
      @BiG_1977  5 месяцев назад

      Thanks. If you want less power you need to decrease the air pressure - less psi

    Kudos! That's a great design, the mag is so versatile! Horizontal load, rotative selector, being able to carry various types of bb (grams, tracer) in the same mag.
    I'm looking for diy modding a Well sniper and I love the simplicity and electric needless of your system!!
    Some questions about the HPA valve:
    -Guess the "reservoir" in the grip is for both limiting air volume expelled, and to act over the valve as some kind of "timer" (like IC controlled electric systems like P*, wolverine etc), therefore the two position valve, so acting in two times, being 1st. trigger pull--> reservoir loading, 2nd. trigger release-->reservoir propelling the BB, I'm I right?
    -So, changing reservoir size-volume would affect to the energy and flight of the BB (being an optimal amount of air for best performance and accuracy)
    Did you do some sort of calculation about that?
    I'm intrigued about that since you stated that longer trigger pull had some effect over FPS readings
    Thanks for answering and sorry for the long text!😅

      @BiG_1977  Год назад +1

      Hi,
      Your message is well received no matter how long it is. 😁
      The air capsule inside the grip has a bigger capacity then needed, but that's not a big problem, only that I'm wasting air. I don't have a CNC mill to make the proper size that can be calculated multiplying by 3 the inner barrel air volume.
      The valve doesn't work as you said. When trigger is RELEASED, air flows from the air tank in the air capsule( first "way"). When trigger is pulled, the air flow mentioned above ist cut off and opens the second "way" from the air capsule to the BB loader pushing the BB out the inner barrel.
      The big advantage of this valve is that is very, very, soooooo very silent.
      The disadvantage is that you have to have a quick and ferm trigger pull because if that is to soft or slow, the air from the capsule doesn't come out all at once but gradually and you'll have insufficient air pressure. It's all in your index finger ability. 😁
      If you have more questions, feel free to ask.
      As an extra info, I can tell you that I've upgraded my rifles with my own BiG TDC system, so not far in the future you will see the upgrades and shooting test videos.
      I only say that my BiG TDC made my sniper rifles laser accurate.
      Stay tuned.

      @@BiG_1977 thanks so much for the detailed response and the info! I'll await that TDC video, sounds good! I'm assuming you are using that TDC BiG system in substitution of any market hopup chamber, or is working over it (as aftermarket top dead center regulators do, over the hop up lever)?
      Cheers!

    Pretty ingenious with the push button valve setup here. I've been ooking to replicate the polestar Kythera (somewhat) with a no electronics setup. Quick question regarding the air cell used in the setup, I am assuming the size of the cell is proportional to the output power when the switch is toggled correct?
    Another thing, how are you getting along with that regulator? I've seen them on ebay for cheap but am always a little concerned about using one of those cheapo regulators.

    • @BiG_1977
      @BiG_1977  11 месяцев назад

      The "air cell" size only matters when you calculate the volume of air you need to expell in one shot (I didn't had the tools to make one the exact size but it should be 3 times the volume of inner barrel). Bigger cell doesn't mean more power. You have to do some math taking in consideration the mass of the projectile and the barrel length.
      The regulator works, but for its price you don't get to really fine tune the output pressure. If you wonder if it holds, the answer is "yes". Keep in mind that you need also the 800psi regulator, otherwise it doesn't work and I don't recommend you to try that. It's not safe. First you need to go down from, let's say, 3500psi to 800psi with one regulator, and the from 800psi to 0-300psi with the second adjustable regulator.

    • @Tangowastaken
      @Tangowastaken 11 месяцев назад

      @@BiG_1977 Most tanks nowadays come with a regulator to take it down to 800 anyway.

    would it be possible to adapt this design to fire 4.5mm Steel bbs?

    • @BiG_1977
      @BiG_1977  9 месяцев назад +2

      Of course, but you'll need a different inner barrel and I don't think that a hop-up chamber will be needed anymore. But then, we're not talking about Airsoft anymore. It will become a PCP gun with different regulations.

    Ai facut r hop ? Cu guma folosesti ?

      The fact that the KJW MK1 hop-up chamber is made of metal is no problem. The problem is in that setup the barrel moves forward and backward every time you pull the trigger. That's making the gun not so accurate.

    Is there a way to convert SodaStream bottle to work?

    • @BiG_1977
      @BiG_1977  3 месяца назад +1

      Yes, but is risky. An air tank like the one in the video is not that expensive and is safer. But if you still want to use a SodaStream, you have to buy a regulator with matching threads - evidently - or you have to use an adapter of some sort and you have to ensure a good air seal, witch is going to be a little tricky because on the SodaStream bottle you don't have an O-ring slot.
