I suppose for a squid you can't complain these days but you can buy Sainsbury's microwave rice for 50p and just add a your own bits and bobs depending on what you have in your fridge/cupboard that way you only have yourself to blame if it's not good.
I wouldn't pass these by as they'd make a good quick fill if I don't have much time. Still cheaper than the packets of uncle benski beat which really needs something to go with it.
Doesn't look too bad for a pound, at least it looked to have a decent amount of chicken. I wish I had something like that available here, although Walmart is starting to carry more indian frozen meals. I got hooked on curry dishes when I lived in the UK for a couple of years. I had never eaten any kind of curry growing up, there's no Indian or middle eastern influences around here. I'm visiting the UK again in Dec, gonna hit the curry houses and kebab shops hard while I'm there! Manchester and Leeds where I'll be, have some pretty good ones. Good review. 👍
Hungarian Rhapsody #2... Love it. It's a warm soothing ointment to the ear 👍 Another Priceland £1 meal review! Are you sure you're not plugging for them Papp 🤫 Yeh it does look rather good on the plate. Definitely not boring in appearance or lacking substance. Hahaha perfect timing the RAF jet flying over and the tasting of the apple piece. It was as though the jet was disguised as the apple flying down your throat.... The look on your face was priceless 😂🤣 You should've used that as the thumbnail. What a crack up!😅 Hello Cattaroni (Venus) A Pat and a meow to you too 😻 Classic stuff John. Almost laughed my guts up. Cheers 👍😀🤤 Mate. I treated myself with food bigtime today. Stopped by a noodle bar I'd been passing regularly and observing their wears through the window and finally got myself half a BBQ glazed duck and 250g of BBQ glazed pork fillet. $20 for the 1/2 duck and $7.50 for the pork and omg worth every penny. Had some duck and pork for dinner. Stirfried a baby pak choy and broccolini with sweet potato noodles with a chilli sauce adding the duck and pork at the end. Bloody delicious!😮🤤 I'll get 3 decent feeds from the duck and pork. On the way home I stopped by McDonalds to try a mate's son's idea. I bought a Qtr £er meat patty with sauce, pickle and onion and they threw in 2 slices of plastic cheese for the princely sum of $2.65. Yet a whole burger costs $8!!! Go figure. Brought the patty home, cut it in half and made 2 GF mini tortillas. That's definitely on the repeat to do list. I smashed it today. What a feed.
Top food action for you today then mate, nice to hear that the humanburgers from Macs are still tasty :D Indeed Liszt is incredible, and ridiculously hard to play in parts, glad you had fun and Venus appreciates your admiration :)
@@Papparoni Eating that patty on it's own like that, straight away I noticed something's different. The absence of the burger bun made a huge difference in the overall taste. There's no additional sugar or salt which the bun is loaded with. It was like Huhh!. But I enjoyed it anyway.

Very relaxing music. Mini Beethoven is enjoying it. His dad looks like he is sulking. Shame about that rice. It looked nice when you tipped it on the plate. I remember years ago I used to get Oriental Express frozen curried chicken stir fry. It had rice in it. You could either fry it or microwave it. It was actually nice microwaved. I used to love it. The chicken was in strips and marinated. Really wish they still sold it. But this was worth a try. Nice one Pappa 👍
Thanks Emily, the mini Beethoven is in fact Mozart, and Beethoven frowned quite a bit during his life :) Oriental Express, haven't heard that for yonks, time to search it up :)
@@Papparoni Sorry mini Mozart 🙂 I just did a search. I only found two sites mentioning them and a picture of Oriental Express chicken chow mein. It appears that the company changed hands in 2002 then destroyed the recipes 😞
Hello john, unfortunately l would not shop or support lceland in anyway. lceland sold their lrish business in February of this year to a franchise for 85p and the company went bust five months later, lets say it's other BHS case all over again, so what happened was the staff did not get their wages in full and company had massive debts. The Walker family, should have stepped in and paid the staff in full after all they own the lceland brand name. Also they had this chicken curry in the bag a few years ago and used to be 500g for a pound. l can manage to sell this product for 99p for 400g throughout our 65 stores in the UK. The product is made by the old Heinz factory in the lrish Republic. Also the lceland ready meals for £1 have also been reduced by 20% in size over last few months.
Top insight Thomas and I thank you for this information. The food chain is being slowly destroyed for reasons I'm not 'allowed' to say on here. What I can say is get a stash in, buckle up, and enjoy the ride... All the best, John.
Oh yes - that is evil playing (nice playing) / Interesting it is cheap (1£ for a meal), but not that good. I guess it depends what matters, but not something I would be rushing to eat !! Mark,
You've got to have the taste for it. As a kid, I wouldn't touch a curry with fruit in it and it wasn't until I was 30 odd I ventured into fruity currys slowly developing a taste for them. Adding a Tbls of fruit chutney to a curry can really enhance the flavour.
Lovely Liszt 😍👌 I appreciate how stunningly difficult his is 😮💨❤️ Adored this!!
Why thank you Miss Bridgette. I knew you would know what Liszt is like ;)

Fry it add some garlic powder, aromat, hot curry powder a chicken breast might be alright then 😂
Now that sounds good Robert :)
i had this and mixed it with a pot of the harry ramsden curry sauce and added bit more chicken and was lovely
Now that sounds like a great idea nice one Jon
Oh yes a curry is allways a good idea in my opinion

I think these 350gm budget meals are overpriced as last time I looked you can get 400Gm budgets for 0.85p in most supermarkets.

Might be good as a side to chicken curry kievs or something good review pap 👍

It'd be well handy post pub mate, you don't even have to pierce the bag prior to cooking.
not bad when you think how much a pouch of uncle ben's rice is
