I do delivery and people park all over the streets and not just with Turo. Neighbors have about 5 cars parked on the street.

Nothing the Turo operators are doing is illegal. Public street public parking.

as long as they move the car within 24 hours. any car parked on the street more than 24 hours is towable.

There’s parking issues all across the state. When the economy goes bad people tend to go back to family homes. The streets in Aiea, Pearl city, Waipahu etc… are full of cars as renting is out of reach. There’s an average of four cars per house in many areas.

I feel for Hawaii residents being priced out of Hawaii because of Airbnb but if they also can’t get on the trend in Turo to make money for themselves even just one car (cheaper than getting one house) to rent then idk how I can feel bad for people taking advantage. Join in. Make money. Take park (😅) in the opportunity.

Hawaii people are not being priced out. Thats a very one sided story. I seen that video and the people he interviewed were obviously on drugs.
I used to sell vacuums door to door. I met a guy who was original owner of his house. Told me he bought it for $15,000 30 years ago. Now it was worth $750k. He said if he knew that he would have bought 10 houses.
Now my next point. There are many young locals who are responsible and are home owners and arent priced out. Theyre doing fine because theyre responsible and hard working.
The point that im making is the people who are homeless arent responsible. They cant afford to buy a home 30 years ago and they cant buy one today even tho locals are buying homes 30 years ago and today. The ones who are homeless or priced out arent making responsible decisions. Instead they want to party on the weekend and smoke weed and buy loud speakers and lifted trucks and buying the tickest gold chain they can afford and enjoy spending their money then complain they are priced out

Jokes on you. Only poor people have that problem. Rich people have their car ceramic coated. Water spots dont form on ceramic coating. You must not have had your car ceramic coated. And your the one left paying your water bill just to see the next day that car doesnt have water spots

Karen rears her annoying head yet another time over much ado about nothing. Is this jealousy? I don’t get the issue. The opportunity to earn income in an economy where people are leaving seems to me the best way to survive. If a neighbor has 5 teenagers who each own a car, would the neighbors have the same complaint? This is not an issue where government needs to get involved. Let them resolve the problem themselves. Street parking is not a right. 🙏💪🌏🌍🌎❤️🇺🇸🖖

  • @budthatsmyrealname

This is a very one sided story. All you talked about was it was a problem for the neighbors
My property is wide enough to park 2 cars in front of my house on the street. But when my neighbor(S) (plural) who have parties and take those spots i genuinely deep in my heart have no issues. Because i know its a public street that anyone can park there. I pay $400 a year to have permission from the state to park on the street and so do they. So i can park on the street and so can they. Theres no issue. If anyone had a right to complain about street parking then waikiki and downtown parking would have been addressed years ago but instead of complaining about worse parking situations they complain about the minor parking situations
I also worked at uhaul for 6 years. We parked our trucks on the street. Same thing. People complained. Police was called. But nothing ever happened. Because we had every right to park on the street as long as it was moved every 24 hours. We stayed in business. Police were frequently called. But nothing ever happened.
So with all that said, what is the purpose of this video? I really dont see what the issue is? Seems your point is Only complaining neighbors have a voice and all the rights
