Yes a lot of what they say is similar. The difference is about location of Lanka. Let them both come together and sort out and explain their point of view. I have heard Nilesh Oak's podcast, which also sound quite logical.

May be according to some Western historian. But how do you explain a place nearby called Siyavar?
A little to the south, on the banks of Caspian Sea is Ramsar.
Plus, Lankaran is on the way to Etruscans of Italy where there is plenty of evidence of Ramayan.
