Sony 70-350 vs Tamron 70-300 vs sigma 100-400.
Make it happen💪🏻💪🏻
Yes
Agree I would like to see this.
heard so much good stuff about this sigma
Is the sigma made for Sony bodies ?
@@Jobitto07 yup. Fullframe, just like this tamron
Glad you tested on APS-C, too many full frame reviews out there.
the physical finish and typography of this tamron is so clean. Feel way more premium than I remember way back from when I had Tamron's popular ultrawide zoom on an old Canon Rebel.
Thanks Arthur You helped me a lot in the deliberations. I have an A6400 and was looking for an option that fits my budget. Well done
Thanks for sharing, as always covering all questions that i had when started to watch the video. 👍🏼
This is what I am waiting for. Thanks so much💙
If you haven’t subscribed to this channel yet you really should do so. Arthur R really knows his stuff and is a clear, concise video reviewer. I have watched his videos for quite awhile without commenting but would like to take this opportunity to say Thank You for what you do. It’s incredibly informative and helpful! Your wife is lovely and your boy is beautiful; stick with this- it’s really exceptional work.
I trust your reviews. It's the highest compliment!
yeah, I'm waiting this video for a long time
why you are so awesome Bro, Always Top Notch analysis. keep it up.
I decided that the stabilizing, extra reach, and a good sale price made the Sony 70-350 the right choice for my a6100. Thank you for helping me to choose, Arthur. As you did with the camera body last summer.
This lens is living on my a6500 and I am very happy with the combo. It is fantastically light but also not the best looking lens. However. it has rapidly become my new "favourite".
Pumped, mine will be here Tuesday! A7III + this should be 🔥
Thanks for making this review. I have a6000 and I'm planning to buy this lens.
Again, nice review.
Using this lens in A6600 and it was great.
Does the IBIS help while shooting videos?
Finally! Back to reviewing normal lenses. I recommend the Sigma 100-400 DG DN. It’s nearly perfect.
Sigma weighs and costs twice as much. Sharpness is exceptional on Tamron. It uses same optics as 28-75.
Perfect for someone having both ff and apsc.
I appreciate the review and your use on aps-c. I wish there more sample pics of things faraway, showing the same subject from the shortest length, followed by the longest length.
Another great video, but please include the settings you used for each photo (focal length, shutter speed, aperture and ISO). Thanks.
Used it the other day (A6400) for BIF. For that you need a very fast shutter which makes the lack of IBIS or OSS a mute point
I shoot with both full frame (A7iii) and crop sensor (A6600) Sony mirrorless cameras and my go-to telephoto lens is the Sony 70-350mm f/4.5-6.3 OSS. Although this is a crop sensor lens, I have no problems with that since I always used my Canon 100-400mm Mark-ii lens on my crop sensor Canon 7D Mark-ii camera and was very happy with the results.
Although both cameras have IBIS, the combination of IBIS and OSS or the Sony lens is a very handy combination since the lens has a relatively slow aperture range. However, if the Tamron lens had been available at the time that I purchased my Sony 70-350, I would seriously have considered that option because o the considerably lower price.
I wish that Tamron would come up with a good 1.4x or even 2x teleconverter for their 70-180mm f/2.8 lens...
Perfect Quality/Price ratio !
Thanks for your review. I just purchased from B&H, the price is right, and I'll be using it along with the Sony a6600, mostly for bird photography. Thanks for sharing, I love your channel, it's very informative, and I enjoy very much the pictures of your beautiful wife, that is always smiling and the aura she has all around is like an angel.
Can't wait for you to review the upcoming 17-70 Tamron 2.8 Lens coming out next year, and how it goes against the Sony G Master 16-55
Wow it is giant. The same lenght as my old canon 75-300mm WITH the e-mount adapter.
Great review. Would have loved to see if using the 6600 really made a difference in stabilization
great review! also value that its on a APS-C body
I need a good zoom. That's what I've been missing since switching from Canon to Sony. I had a pretty nice zoom for my t3i. I won't be going on any outdoor adventures till next year though so I can wait.
King of Crop 🤴
Superb video, just heard about Tamron will be launching 17-70 f/2.8 VC for Sony APS-C. Exciting times. Please review that lens once you get. Also, test it across its focal range even on your Full frame to see how vignette is present. Last time one photographer did checked the 18-105 f4 on A7iii uts was awesome from 70-105 end.
I actually took a leap on this lense and pre-ordered it when I saw it coming out. I have to agree, ita not nearly as premium as my Sigma 24-70mm Art lense, compared to that lense the Tamron feels like a toy. Outside of that I think its spot on, especially with it being $500. This thing is pretty great.
Hi, love your videos. I have a Sony A6000 and am looking for my first prime lens. I have watched several of your videos and just wondered, what you would recommend?
im using the older Tamron EF 70-300 VC from my canon days using a active adaptor, works alright some bugs still its huge compared to the camera
Wow, that's a steal for that price.
Would you consider doing a comparison between this and the Sony 70-350?
Thanks very much! I have a Sony a6600. I am going to be a buyer after watching this video.
My dreamlens would be a 18-105 F2.8 no matter what it costs as long as it delivers because i love the 18-105 F4
Well theres the 24105 2.8 now
Yessssss!!
Thanks for your review. Sony 70-350 vs this one. Which one do you think sharper?
I'm still somewhat confused about the lack of tele on the sony. Okey, there's tele lenses but even my old canon 70-300 does 300mm at 5.6. And why don't we have the sigma 50-100 1.8 for sony E APS-C yet??? I notice I often fall short with the 200mm 2.8, where is my 300mm 3.5????
Would be nice to compare this with the tamron 28-200 f2.8-5.6 less zoom but you can get to 2.8 for lower light.
Awesome video🔥🔥
Any chance I could get my hands on the RAW images? Just 2-3 should also do.
Thanks in advance 🙂😄
Aye my country Philippines!
I guess the next video will be testing the tamron 28-200 f2.8-f5.6 (A071) or 70-180 f2.8 (A056) on an apsc camera!
Planning to get a full-frame camera in the near future, I just bought a A071 a few days ago and love how it performs on my a6500.
I would also love to see the Tamron 70-180 f2.8 on the APSC video!
Я могу сказать, что Tamron 70-180 2.8 на Sony A6600 работает изумительно. Я уже пол-года им пользуюсь и очень доволен.
Waiting for a comparison video.
I'm from Philippines! 😁
8:40 that rolling shutter is painful to watch
It's a Sony
@@trym2121 it's bad but it's not supposed to be that bad, something is wrong here.
@@mohsin_sait I guess it's because of high shutter speed, but even at 24fps/50 I had pretty noticable rollinng shutter on my a6400
@@daniellehotsky1776 not all people have a budget for video and photo camera both, and there's plenty of options of hybrid cameras with excellent rolling shutter performance, Sony is unfortunately notorious for bad video rolling shutter especially in apc-s bodies (earlier even their pro camcorders line such as F3 had a pretty noticeable RS)
@@daniellehotsky1776 there's no need to be so grumbly. As for "go and earn some money" - majority of people doesn't live in first world countries, hence the possibilities for earning money might be extremely limited.
Did u test the full frame sony 70-300? No one review this lens and i find it quiet interesting it fixes the smalls cons from the tamron i think
Hi. Is this a better option for APS-c then the native Sony 70-350 ?
I am thinking that the full-frame aperture would result in better performance on APS-c
I think, for APSC is better just wait and save more money for Sony 70-350.
Is almost the same, both have 4.5 so the change is not enough.
Review of that GA-2100 some time soon? :D
Can it use for macro?
aaaaaa I'd liked to have seen your take with this on a Sony FF...
the lack of chromatic aberration on the tele end is astounding, especially at this price point,
kind of a missed opportunity to not try out this lens with the 6600
just to see if the IBIS was sufficient to keep this lens manageable
Buying a Sony Alpha 6300 within the next month or so, I'll be getting this lens for it. Can't wait. Expensive, but a huge upgrade fron my phone 💀
I wonder, how does the quality compare to the Nikon AF-P NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6E ED VR It is the FX version of their 70-300 and is cheaper than the tamron lens while offering OIS. While it is for a different camera, it would be interesting compare, especially since Nikon uses Sony image sensors anyway. The only reason why I am interested in such a comparison is one of pricing, and how they justify the price, especially if they ever make an F-mount version.
8:30 caught me by surprise lol
Would this be good for sports photography? I’d be using a a6400
8:29 lol
YEAH - just a bit 🤣
8:29 Lol, Its a lot of Distortion
Any plans to check out the new Tamron 18-300mm?
Was there ever a review of the 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS | C by Sigma?
That’s what I had been waiting for. Christopher Frost has a great review. I bought it after watching his review.
@@keystonebrotherb Thanks! Are you enjoying using it?
Yes! It’s great. Surprisingly it’s a great outdoor portrait lens with my AD600 and the Glow ParaPop 38” I use this more than the 85 1.8.
So if i switch to crop mode on my a7 will it be 450mm ? 😀
This lens is very tempting for landscape photography 🤔
I've heard that the OSS is something you want to turn off when you want to shoot with a slow shutter speed. Plus if you want to switch to full frame later, this might be the best choice possible.
how would that work though? shooting handheld wouldnt a slow shutter and OSS off give blur or something?
Please explain to me, can i use it for moon photography?
Since you are saying it performs not so good in low light, So shall i not buy it?
I am trying to focus on Sunsets and Moon captures.
Nice....hii Bro...m cnfus between sony 18-105 G and tamron 70-300 please suggest me what should i purchase? I have a6400 sony
Just wondering if there are any alternative now with a similar pirce range
No, there aren’t
i have a sony nex 6 (it does not have ibis). would the Tamron 70-300mm still work ok? what are your thoughts? thanks!
Need any adapter to mount this lense to the aps-c camera?
8:29 - WAT?
No image stabilization
Could you compare with Sony E 70-350?
could you make a comparison versus the 55-210mm from Sony? please
Just watch 55-210 sole review because that is an entry level lens. If you're planning to crop hard, don't. It's decent for casual photo, just don't crop
Sony has the similar class lens which is 70-350.
@@daniellehotsky1776 That's the goal.. a comparison between a cheap lens vs medium price vs expensive one.. how can a cheap lens compete versus more expensive one in the same range and same focal length/ aperture.
The 55-210 is not only entry level, it is also quite old. If you don’t find a used copy really cheap, I would not consider it.
Can you do a comparison video with Sony 70-350mm on your 6100? Just want to know exact difference, is Sony worth the extra money?
Please suggest me best battery for Sony a6000. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Can I use Tamron 70-300mm F4.5-6.3 Di III RXD lens handheld shooting with Sony a6400 mirrorless Camera?
Would love to see the local length of the photos
can I use canon EF 70-300 mm f/4-5.6 IS II USM lens with this camera? 200d v sony 6100 which is better?
Would this be good for wildlife photography?
Sony 70-350 vs tamron 70-300
Yeah we need this
Yes and if possible on a APS-C
Let me borrow that Arthur, I’ve been trying to get a good lens like that. 🤪🤪🤪 I have the A6600 and that looks like a great all round.
Here's the question. Is it better to get a 17-70 f2.8 (Sigma for nikon) and a 70-300. Or a 18-135 f3.5 and a 100-300 ?
Hii...
Is it ok to use with sony zv e10
I just got Sony 70350 for equivalent of 750 USD. Was good choice?
Wow, your son is so big! How fast time is ...
I love mine
Is this lens auto focus?
How is this lens vs tanrom
18 - 300
Should I buy 55-210 or 17-300 tamron
how is it compare to the sony 70350G?
Thank's for the review, do you recomend this lense or the 55-210mm Sony?
this lense !
.
The 55-210 is a good lens, but not fantastic. The OSS in the 55-210 is great if your camera doesn’t have IBIS. It is also WAY smaller and cheaper. It’s worth trying the 55-210 first to see if a telephoto zoom lens is what you are looking for.
Sony 70-350mm
If you have the money 70-350. If you plan going to FF, this or sigma 100-400
Best cheap lens for a 7¡¡
I bought Sony 55-210mm for my Sony a5000 APC camera. I'm not happy with it's performance, especially at 210mm. Will this Tamron be a good upgrade considering I'm using it for casual nature and bird photography?
What's wrong with it's 210mm?
Is this lens good with video
Does it work with sony A7?
Does Tamron 70-300mm fit for Sony a6400? Please
Yes, It can mount to that camera, but you"ll be without any stabilisation at all (and that helps a lot at the long focal lengths). This lens does not have VC.
now it's 300$ definitely worth it.
This one or the sel70-350?
Some photos seem too soft. Would have been helpful to compare to other similar.
Will it is challenging in a6400 as no stabilization?
It will on the long end, under certain conditions, for example if you're trying to focus manually. The stabilisation does help in framing up your shots too.
Need an image quality comparison to the Sony version.
The OSS on the Sony will make it the better lens regardless of picture differences.
@@alexnelson8 but twice the price...
@@martings81 Actually its cheaper right now!..
The comparison I was interested in was the 70-300 Sony vs Tamron on a full frame camera with ibis. The ibis will put the Tamron on a somewhat level playing field. Just curious as the Tamron is half the price of the Sony.
8:50 the rolling shutter is horrific.
can captured this moon illusion ?
