Never, NEVER lose that accent please! We have enough crazy perfect american accents out there and we need YOU to remain a PRRROPERRR Icelandic guy! Cheers for this video buddy, I use an old Tamron 70-300 for my APSC Sony A6500 so I would really appreciate to have that TELE SONY and get more sharpness, less fringing, more stability, so on and so forth!

This lens is on my list to add with my Sigma 16mm for video as well as photography. Been using the Sony A6400 after selling my A7iii and so far I think it's a better camera.
this is a nice lens to have, would love to see a faster aperture but then the lens would be bigger and more expensive for sure :) awesome to year you like the apsc more!
Own this lens together with 16-55mm and a6600. When i move to FF, sold everything except for 70-350mm.This lens the best even in crop mode!

This is quality lens! I use this with my Sony a6100. I have also Sigma 16mm and Sony 18-135mm. Everything fits perfectly togther! 😉

Not specifically for APS but, the Sony 70-200mm f/4G OSS and theTamron 70-180mm f/2.8 are both interesting lenses. I have owned the 70-200mm for years now and I do like its relatively light weight and constant f/4 aperture. I use it quite a bit for portraits but, may (after my danger from COVID-19 calms down - I am getting vaccine #2 on the 18th of this month) I am going to do a in-depth head to head comparison between the 70-250mm and the 70-200mm for my style of shooing. I may (JUST MAY) switch the Sony for the Tamron 70-180mm to take advantage of the constant f2.8 aperture.

Amazing beast of a lens. I’ve used it for RUclips videos and recording events. Did a photo walk with it too. Easily one of my all-time favorite aps-c lenses.
This lens is perfect with AI software/correction like Photolab. It helps with the slower apertures

Deciding between this and the Sigma 56mm as my next lens. Already have the Sigma 18-50 2.8
I have the sigma 18-50mm and the 56mm. The 56 mm is extremely sharp and gives really beautifull portraits. So, if I could chose again, I would take the 70-350 and the 18-50 although the 56mmF1.4 has such a beautiful look

I just bought this last week as an upgrade to the 55-210 (a great lens for the price), but the 70-350 blew my mind. It's in a different league altogether. If you can afford it, get it. Quality comes at a price though. The extended range is significant and the IQ is almost flawless even at 350mm.
A great review of an excellent lens. I use this on my a9, with the camera’s clear zoom feature I can get acceptable images at 1070mm, that I find is amazing for the money.
does clear image zoom have any quality advantages over just cropping in post? Or is it just useful for composition and framing purposes ?

Tack vare den låga vikten borde du slippa zoom creep (efter att objektet används ett tag och mekanismen tappar sin tolerans så börjar objektivet zooma av sig själv om du håller den mot golvet eller mot taket!), min förra 24-70 2.8 hade ett tydligt problem med zoom creep och det märktes då det objektivet vägde en del!

So how many optical zoom is this lens compare to a Sony RX 10 iii with 25x zoom?
Simply divide the longest focal length by the shortest: 350 /70 = 5x optical zoom.

I use an a6000 and 55-210mm kit sony lens and I just can't auto focus, it will only sharpen lets say the eye of the bird and none of the feathers. I also as a result manual focus and lose my shot half the time as bird has flown away. How is the a6400 with the 70-350mm focus and the sharpess of getting the whole body of a bird?

I've ordered this lens recently and went to pick it up to the Sony Centre, when I opened the box to check if all was good, I noticed a little particle, looking like a tiny piece of glitter, under the outer glass. I decided not to buy it, but watching your video, I see your lens also has it, it does not have any effect of the footage you get? I see the footage in the video of course, but perhaps, when you zoom it? I'm afraid to order it again now, help :D

In what situation would you want to switch the stabiliser off from the lens? For IBIS I understand that turning it on would crop the frame, so we’d lose some of the focal length, but what about switching off from the lens?
Well I found an excellent Arca-Swiss lens tripod mount from iShoot to use with on rare occasions so those are the times I am glad I can disable the stabilization.

If you have the A7R IV or the new A7 IV then get the lens. Nothing else comes close for the price.

I ordered a Sony A6400, in your opinion which lens do you recommend I get? I ordered it with the kit lens, but will now be saving up for an additional lens or two. I shoot alot of street and landscape.
there are lots of lenses I like! :) Sonu 18-105 is a great allaround lens, then I would suggest you look into the SIgma trio, the 16mm, 30mm and the 56mm :)
Tamron 17-70mm f2.8 is a beast.

Love it, but I think the tripod mount is missing 😞
Careful if you plan on getting an aftermarket lens collar for this lens. Most i saw being sold mount way too close to the camera body, leaving you no space for your fingers to grip properly.

What are those moving green tiny boxes on the camera screen? Is it autofocus? How do I enable that?
@Arnabun yes, those are auto focus points. The camera will automatically go into that mode if it detects no faces & not in lock-on/ tracking mode. Just use AF-C and choose bigger AF area (not single point AF)

@@thaticelandicguy 👌 Thank you for reviewing this lens. I was looking for videos that can persuade me to buy this lens. I sold my 18-105g a few years ago (shooting photos only) and I’ve been looking to get a good telephoto lens to replace that ever since.
I was interested until I found out how slow that lens is. It just makes it too limited when a lot of people need an all around lens.
I don’t own any Sony cameras and don’t need a lens at such a focal length.
Still, watched the entire thing and enjoyed it very much 😇
Btw, the outtakes - now I don’t feel alone, happens every time I try to get two words out in front of the camera 🤓
