When does the "rush" period start? I heard that that find you...is that true? When do you look out for flyers? And how do they just pick you? And how do you find out about events?

Awesome. I wish I was part of a sorority when I was in Hunter College in Manhattan. Never happened even though I'm not the studious type. I got my master degree in psychology. There was people there of all ages. I was the youngest in most of my classes hard to find a sorority there. I didn't dorm, I live in the city. I did have gf's there that were like sisters, but no cliques in my 4 years. All the cliques HS years.
Thanks for your answer. I am considering being an Alpha Kappa Alpha because I want to be in a sisterhood that shows young women how to become women and not only women leaders.
As a member of Delta Sigma Theta, it is so exciting to hear someone so young being interested in my Illustrious Sorority. However, there is more to Delta than stepping. Ask some of your teachers why they were interested and became members.

Onlyonyi fall '14 wasn't her last semester, she graduated from college this year.
