This is perfect and sustainable solution using simple gravity for future energy need. No other storage system can match with this . Thanks a lot. To my view , sea based pumped hydro is little bit powerful than fresh water one due to its salty( heavier ) water thrust and reaction over the turbine blades. However metallergy and rust free maintenance cost would be higher . Our entire purba and paschim ghat parvat mala are giving us enormous potentiality. Suppose the elepant back top punchet hill and existing punchet reservoir can deliver 50 gigawatt hour alone . It is my own estimation. I saw several places in Arunachal Pradesh having such huge project potential .Most of them are in high rainfall area with natural replenishment and need not be covered at all . Our narmada tapti, mahanadi , godavari ,kaveri, basins are also very good places. Selective hard rock places in lower Himalayas are to be choosen first to avoid land slide. One good news is that another large unit is being built in Ayodhya hills at Purulia district . Several existing hydels can be modified into pumped one with little extra cost. This will make them operational throughout the year and much more profitable .we don't have enough land space to spoil against SPV panels. We need to ratify profitable bye back policy from domestic , industrial, institutional, roof tops with strong l economic , legal and moral bonding. Thank you again.
