@@someguy3508 the things Rextroy does is completely different than anything else people are referring to and it's silly that you would even compare them. In BFA they nerfed PvE Twinks to prevent people from getting experience from those who have their XP turned off in dungeons. They have done so much to make sure that people aren't allowed to have fun in their games. You're obviously new to the game and think that everything Rextroy does is always some huge bug/glitch, a lot of the things are just game mechanics that he uses to his advantage - taking advantage of a game mechanic doesn't make it an exploit. Just because you recently started the game and assume that Blizz actually fixes things doesn't mean they do, they only fix things when they're posted online and people are capable of taking advantage of it to have fun. Blizz doesn't want the player base having fun and SoD Devs pretty much all but confirmed it via Twitter by talking shit and harassing people because they were having fun leveling quick. Imagine getting so pressed about people leveling fast that you pretend that it somehow affects you and your game play even though it doesn't.

"exploit" doesn't mean "cheat", but the words have become synonymous in video games because "even if you're not breaking any rules, the devs, on a whim, can decide they don't like the way you play with the toys they set out for you".
idc if they fixed the bits that work better than intended, but it just isn't right shooting a guy in the foot in the middle of the race. that's just poor sportsmanship by the nerds and control freaks at blizzard who made that call.

If i recall in Cata shamans had a passive that you could spec into that would give you back mana spamming lighting bolts i believe.
I don't play Blizzard games anymore, and this is a huge reason why. They take their sweet time to fix anything unless... it's something like this, then it's fixed on the spot.
Meanwhile they endorse people that speed run their content like Mythic + , but disown those that do these type of activities because it isn't what they believe should be in the game.
I’m sure changing the XP values on a couple mobs literally took a single person 30 seconds to commit. Relax. Lol
@@failadin1 ..... and yet it routinely takes them weeks to fix other similar issues. A lot of their "fixes" are relatively simple and likely don't take much time to do. That's why people get angry that it takes them so long to do small fixes.
I happened to rewatch Athene's world first level 80 video from back in the day, interesting comparison. Between the prep/tactics used/blizzard deciding fairly last minute that they weren't gonna allow it. Some things change, some things don't xD
Athene did the strategy when it was completely new and no one knew much beforehand. People have had decade to figure out how to fast level now so its not as impressive

6:52 its not just him that put a lot of work into it, he had buddies sacrificing their own leveling time in order to help him. that's super lame that blizzard hotfixed it to screw him.
And meanwhile on retail sub rogue (what I play) exists with rotation altering and damage loss bugs that take multiple seasons to get fixed. Like, not small things. HUGE things. Right now sub rogue logs are bugged and around ~15-20% of our damage isn't being attributed to us because of course they aren't. They're too busy nerfing someone who's doing a race and doing INSANE things that no normal player would do.

They most definitely got paid dude (by gold or by cash). It is not world first 60 where nobody got the resources to help. If someone paid me like 100k gold to help him for 5-6 hours, ill do it, and go back to slow leveling with a bag full of golds.

People like this don’t play the game for fun, they play it as another job. “That’s how some people have fun” no, it isn’t. They just want the bragging rights, but they aren’t having fun. If you want to play the game as a job that’s totally fine, more power to you. But this isn’t fun. This is a job.
Thats completely untrue. Gamers in every genre push the limit of what the player can maximize, this is simply another insane minmax for a competitive race. Earning an in game achievement. World first races happen in tons of games. Teams theory craft and prep for months before. This is fun.
