That survival series is what really got me into space engineers, then Splitsie and Capac and all the rest kept me going! Just wanted to say thanks to all of you for all the fun content!
Splitsies always been the dad of the trip. He used to have a motovlog where he'd chase people halfway across Australia because the forgot to signal while turning a corner. He'd wag his finger at them and tell them they were very bad drivers :p
While clearly running red lights, going the wrong way down roads, and even using sidewalks as a shortcut during the pursuit. At least that is how I picture it.
Since the aerodynamics does ground effect, I wonder if you could make a massive ekranoplan base on a relatively flat planet, might be something I need to mess around with! This series has given me a lot of ideas (especially since I mostly do vanilla stuff)
Hey Splitsie and squad of engineers, Watching along since the first wrong way down, has been absolutely fantastic. The growth, the additional characters and the story arc is awesome to watch along with. This series in particular is perfectly balanced between fun building, adventure and a splash of chaos. Kudos to everyone involved and keep it up!
I wish I knew about your channel when this was live. A set of the headlights mounted vertical in the center of the rover at the front would have been SO helpful for you guys. You would have been able to see the ground directly in front of you.
Splitsie making fun of Capac being "Ever observant" and then falling to the ground because he ran out of hydrogen has to be one of the most underrated funniest moments of these streams.
Hey we have an extra crew member. Shack is a good dude. His choice of commentary is very relatable LOL. Side note, here's hoping that the incoming enemy air raid siren mod eventually gets added. It would probably only work whenever a grid is being shot but, Space Engineers has its limits. Still though, that would be really cool to hear in the game
I saw that horizontal piston been connected to the LCC to support the drill and thought to myself, NO NO NO, it only took almost 2 hours to actually move and prove me right.
Dogs aren't colourblind, they're just less able to see colours than we can, it's a bit like the amount of colour you can perceive at night (since it's the more light sensitive rods that's the type of cell they have more of, but I think I read somewhere that their rods are different to ours and can detect colour better)
As a roof plumber and working on peoples roofs, when we Finnish we do a FOD walk as well for dropped screws, off cuts and rubbish. BUT we call it “emu picking”

Just a thought for the nighttime raids/action... Some high-power spotlights on rotor turrets slaved to the Gatling turrets. Would be fun to see the bot planes lit up and then nailed with gunfire.
Hey as far as the plane running out of power (which is not the case I think) I had similar issues in a Ore Carrier I made. It was simple built small block build that had vertical power for days with thrusters - even with all three onboard cargo pods full of ore. But if I attached a rotor and small grid drills hanging down from the rotor to drill into the ground. I was still fine. UNTIL I filled the onboard pods AND the drills with ore. It flew fine for a minute and then started losing altitude and nothing I could do would stop it. Eben when I emptied the Onboard cargo it would not take off, would not even try. UNTIL i emptied the drills. No Idea why it did this other than the sub-grid with the drills had the ore in it. Perhaps the weight calculations being made for the sub-grid somehow go logarithmic?
So many conveyor branches where cargo containers should go to make things easier…and no ground cargo access, ground cargo access makes life infinitely better.
I really feel like the random explosion around the 2:15:00 mark shoulda been a reload. All sub grids randomly detaching from each other and piling up like a handful of toothpicks is the game breaking, not somebody doing something wrong. Just my thoughts though lol.
The lead vehicle is slowly but surely turning into a some sort of crab-lobster hybrid. Taking into account the layered nature of its internals, while also considering the "layered" nature of the entire set of vehicles, it would seem logical to consider renaming the entire assembly to something more appropriate. How about Crab Cake?
you should put a sandworm style 'mouth' on the front with grinders then you can roll up on controlled bases after taking out the hostiles just roll over it with the sandworm an eat all the materials
I really wish the block based grinders were effective enough to make something like that feasible, as they are though they're too slow and fling things too wildly for it to be useful when I've tried them in the past :(
I don't like grumpy DE in the stream. He laughs hysterically when some one makes a mistake. Love Jack on the other hand. Nice contribution to the team. He is positive and always nice. 2:15:30 Splitsie, something that I see you do, that makes me uneasy is that you try to weld damaged armour blocks without steel plates. I know, that you just want to straighten them up but it is quicker to just grab few plates and weld them properly. It also would make sure, that there are no damaged armour blocks below cargo container. It's just painful for me to watch that slow, non repairing welding...
Huh, that's a really cool idea. I might have a think about how that could be done ( the difficult part being making it so that it ejects only one bottle)
