- Peter Lovenkrands scored a last minute winner as Rangers won the Scottish Cup at Hampden. Celtic had twice taken the lead, through firstly John Hartson and then Bobo Balde, but Rangers fought back. Lovenkrands had equalised Hartsons early strike and then an inspired Barry Ferguson fired in a tremendous free-kick as Rangers dominated in the second half. As time was running out there was A twist in the tale as Neil McCann crossed for Lovenkrands to score and send the Celtic fans charging for the exits.
As celtic fan. Such a shame watching this seeing wat happened to Fernando. We r lucky to have these memories of these people that graced our grounds. 💚💙
I’m a Rangers man..regardless we should celebrate the world class players that were playing for both teams back then. How lucky were we? Larson, De Boer, Cannagia, Sutton, Hartson, Klos. We will never see the likes of it again.
I'm English and support my local club, but like most fans - Rangers are my second club / seem to be everyone's down here...

as a celtic fan and being there on that day, it was a hard one to take but dont youz miss the games like this, the passion, the hatred, like no other, you just dont see games like this anymore!
Me and my brother worked as stewards at this game,I was in the celtic end my brother was in the celtic end of hospitality,we both attended the Rangers 3v2 celtic cup final in 1973, we are both Rangers fans,yeha wot a fuckin thrill seeing the celtic fans close up,never forget it,god bless the gers!

I'm a Rangers fan who worked the bar in a Celtic sports bar that day and I'll never forget the moment where Lovenkrands headed the third and every Timmy in the place had their heads in their hands. What a sweet victory.
Look at the quality of some of those players on the pitch that day...changed times now.
I went crazy that day....ill never forget it....thanks for the memories

My memory of that day is Lovenkrand's winner.....cue the fire drill practice from the Celtic end......they cleared the place even faster than usual too. Rangers were magnificent, what a loud and proud support they have.
One of the best scottish cup finals ever.
This goal will forever be my favourite rangers moment spent with my old man.
Loved this final. Remember looking to the Celtc end after Lovenkrands celebrations and it was almost empty.
People forget too easy just how good a player Neil McCann was
