I was there at Ibrox vs Dunfermline as a 9 year old. When Mikel Arteta scored everyone went crazy, we were all crying with joy, probably one of the best days of my life!
People mention helicopter Sunday but this was my all time favourite just for how nail biting it was.

@@chazgirl6186 I recall Klos making a wonder save from Craig Brewster as well when the score line was something like 4-1 which would have made a huge difference at the time. People assumed Dunfermline lay down as Jimmy Calderwood was their manager at the time. The reality was they were just shite.

My memories of this are sitting in a hostel in Auckland New Zealand in the middle of the night watching the goals go in on livescore, not a pub in the city was showing the Gers!
Celebrated in an Irish pub after 😂 and up the next morning with a banging hangover with a flight to Oz to catch.
Watched the cup final in the Star Bar casino in Sydney. Memories! WATP!!
It was a great day but more nail biting than the 2005 helicopter Sunday. We were probably favourites to win this but it was one of the most tense 90 mins I’ve watched.
In the 05 Sunday, not many expected us to win it and it only really became tense after McDonald equalised for motherwell.

What a belter of a team. I’m auld so I remember this but when we lift it this year I’ll be crying like a baby.
This was deffo better than helicopter. Im a rangers fan, but credit due, Celtic played thier souls out both domestic and in europe and did scotland proud. In my eyes Celtic deserved to win the europa cup, only losing out to dirty tactics from Porto. I also felt sorry for the bad press dunfermaline recieved after the game, they battled hard against us that day.

I was at ibrox that day you could hear the scores from the guys around you, it was unreal feeling and when we realised we had won the title you felt it in your heart, I will never forget it. Dunfermline didn't even celebrate scoring, was a farce that day. 2 good sides Celtic and Rangers at the time. Celtic robbed by Mourinhos Porto in the UEFA final few days previously. Neither teams today would get within 3 goals of them respective teams.
I remember helicopter sunday more clearly but this one might actually have been the best.

Remember this well. What would of happened if Rangers & Celtic were level on GD at full time?
It would have been have been decided on Goals Scored (Rangers scored 101, Celtic scored 98), so Rangers would still have won the league. If GD and Goals Scored are both identical, i think it then goes on head to head results, which would have been in Celtic's favour. If still equal at that point, I believe a play-off is then required.

Ross Livingstone it would have then went to who had the most goals for, then it would go to goals against
It would not have changed anything. Rangers won the league on Goal Difference (Rangers GD was +73, Celtic's was +72), a 5-0 win for Celtic would have made the Goal Difference equal, but it would have then have been decided on Goals Scored. Rangers scored 101 goals, Celtic scored 98 goals. So that missed penalty didn't change anything. Even if Arteta missed his penalty, Rangers would have been champions. Fine margins, though: If Thompson scored and Arteta missed, Celtic would have won the league!!
Rangers would have won the league on goals scored. In the end Arteta's penalty was not needed but I remember it gave great relief at the time.
