Just had to replace the batteries for the first time in four years since putting batteries in it! Impressive honestly.
Wow! That was way too easy. I was doing it wrong by holding the reset button on my Hunter Symphony fan remote. This video worked great (touch and release the reset button on the remote) and the fan is spinning again. Thanks!!!
Actually I need to reset my Hunter Symphony Which button is the reset button? Thank you so much. :)
If this doesn’t work, reset your the power at your breaker box. Worked for me.
Thanks so much! Just bought a home with this installation 😅
Thank you for the video! We’ve been trying to find how to do this on google and coming up empty. All we could find was the model with dip sticks and not this one. Thank you!
I knew I should go to RUclips first thanks for the help
It works but it took awhile for the reset to actually work
If you think your old remote is broken, try pairing it before purchasing a new remote. I thought my old remote was damaged; however, it only needed to be paired again.
Do you know how do we do it without the light switch though because it isn't linked with the fan
The video mentions the option of using a circuit breaker.
Perfect thanks.
Thank u! I pressed too long and heard two beeps. I pressed quick and heard one beep, then it worked
What if you have more than one Hunter fan and it always pairs to the same signal and all the remotes turn on and off all of the fans? How. do you change the signal?
That's exactly what's happening to mine :(
Same issue did u find a fix?
@@Hephzibahh did you ever find a fix?
@@alh5470 did you ever find a fix?
did you ever find a fix?
Worked like a charm thanks !
What about unpairing?? why is this nowhere in documentation or anywhere else online?? I have a Unitron RC1 remote and no clue how to unpair
We installed 2 fans in 2 different rooms. The remotes are paired to the same frequency. How do I fix this?
Try this.
ruclips.net/video/hmQQjXEWuQw/видео.html
I have same issue what's the resolve besides unhooking wires in the canopy?
Yup, this is the video that got my fan and remote working again. Mine was a little different, power off power on and it programmed itself. Thank you for taking the time and making your video. 👍🏻
what video??
Lucky u!
What if the remote doesn’t beep when we try to pair it but some lights go off. Is there a safety switch and do the fan blades have to be on before it works?
No response? That’s what happen with mine also.
It’s suppose to beep to pair it
Mine never beep. Returned!!!
Is it possible to turn the light on without the fan turning on this remote is horrible either i can’t figure it out or maybe it’s not possible with this???
So what do you do if that doesn’t work 😑😑😑😑
Agreed, I hate all three of mine. Never again.
I hate them too
Throw your fan away.
Thats a tough one. I guess I would check to make sure the battery isn’t dead and make sure the fan has power. You should see a blue light on the remote when you press a button and the battery isnt dead.
Make sure the receiver is set up and wired correctly, that it has power
I guess the simple act of replacing the batteries was just too much for people. It's pretty pathetic that I had to Google instructions on replacing batteries in a freaking remote. Note to manufacturers: IF IT AIN'T BROKE, DO NOT, I REPEAT -DO NOT FIX IT! Now I'm going to have to replace the entire fan just because the remote refuses to sync up to the fan. 🤑🤑🤑Never buying another remote operated fan again.
No it won't work on all Hunter Fans with a remote receiver because a lot of the Hunter remotes don't have a "PAIR" button. You have to press a combination of buttons, a process that works about 10% of the time. In my experience Hunter fans are great their remote controls however are pure cheap garbage.
I have two fans, so the remote control is pairing with two fans hehe... how make I to pair only one fan?
Did you ever figure out how to do that?
Is there a way to unpair? I have a remote now works on both fans
Did you resolve? Having the same issue. I cycle power, hold fan and light same time then click pair button on remote.
@@alh5470both fans are operating on the same frequency, then. You need to find the remote box by the fan wiring and change its DIP switches so that only one remote works with only one fan
@@WildDisaster what if your fan doesn't have dip switches? I actually opened up both fans to expose their wiring and didn't see any dip switches. :(
Try pulling the lite cord on the fan after all the other steps. That re-engaged the lite for me
How do you unscrew the back because I'm using multiple different Phillips head screwdriver and I cannot find the right fit do you have the measurements for the right fit or the right size Philips head? Thx!
We lost our remote but can the 99813 replacement remote work with the receiver that is already in our fan?
Same
Did yall get this answered or tried it out?
I installed my new kempton Park ceiling fan. Lights work, fan works, but fan will not go to medium or slow speed. Only high. Lights are dimmable….and work….fan remote doesn’t slow or stop fan thanks!
I am extremely frustrated and upset with this new hunter fan . The fan seems to be OK. But the cheap remote is ridiculous. Also I’ve been having nothing but problems with connecting to WiFi and now I did something so my remote is not working properly
Same. Bought for the wifi Alexa feature and couldn't get it to work it unpaired itself and paired to other hunter fan and now remote turns both fans on. Ugh I keep reading I have to unhook wires in canopy but fan is too high on vaulted ceiling not easy for me
Please add a simpler function for the fan dimmer on remote.
There's a video ( how to pair Hunter fan remote ) next to your comment of( what video )
If you're not seeing it here's what I had to do to mine. For some reason turning the ceiling fan off and the switch was not enough. I had to shut all power off at circuit breakers or undo fan wires. Try your power supply from circuit breakers first about 90 seconds for it to reset to your remote
@Angel A mine makes the same sound in this video but only turns the light off and on. The speed of fan is on max and I'm freezing idk what 2 do. If I hold down the fan option it reverses the spin. I cannot change speed of fan or turn it off at all
@@imrelentless9577
Not sure about that effect, but try shutting off power to fan from power source. (Fuse box) Sometimes it takes a complete shutt off to reset it..
Necesito un control de estos oara mi ventilador donde lo puedo conseguir alguien sabe
THANK YOU
Helpful for initially setting up that remote
Just installed the fan last week and already the remote stopped working. LED light comes on when pressing the button on remote but does not beep or do anything else. The pairing process in this video (remote looks exactly the same) does not work. What now?
Mine does the same thing
Mine tpp
mine did the samething but I pressed the pair button 3 times and it connected
Mine is just a dust collector now
Worked in 30 seconds!
This would be helpful if that actually worked! Turned off once and won’t turn back on to pair. Have cycled power, turned off at the fuse box, checked fan wiring. Remote still flashes with lights. Just won’t pair! Have had for 3 months and was worried about this. What a waste of my day
I just bought and installed the this fan and the same thing is happening to me
Doesn't work for me either..only had Gan for 3 months and already not working..smh
Not working and have had the fan for 3 weeks. A waste and I don't have time for this.
Amigo una consulta, mi ventilador cuando llega la energía después de un corte de energía la luz queda encendida, se puede programar para que no se encíenda cuando llegue la luz ?
This worked for mine, thank you
Nice idol
If you are getting the blue indicator lights on the remote and they stay on, this is an indication that the battery is low. The remote will stop working even though the indicators stay on. The only thing that you can do is replace the battery with a new battery. Then, just power cycle and hit the pair button. It ended up working for me this way.
So my fan is working fine, but when I try and turn on the lights with the button it turns on for a second then turns off and my fan makes a beeping noise, how can I fix this?
my remote did not have a button to pair control to fan. I turn the power of too fan and light the turn it back on and now it works.
Bought this fan from Costco .. wouldn't work straight out of the box. Returned it and couldnt get another one because they dont have the product anymore.
How do you pair the fan?
So attempt the back button with different batteries just 2 will work, this is what I did with the remote. If by chance the fan goes in the opposite orientation press and Hold the fan button until the light turns off and try it, if it still doesn’t work the first time press the fan button and hold again and try it (this happened to me when it didn’t work the first time).
This worked for me (holding fan button after pressing the pair button) - thank you!
I’m trying to pair a second remote to one fan and it is not pairing any suggestions out there ?
Where can i buy this remote?
You can find remotes on this page - www.hunterfan.com/collections/ceiling-fan-controls.
My power went out now my fan doesn't work I tried to reset the remote and it's still not working, is there anything else I should do?
What will happen if you hold down the pair button?
Holding the pair button will set off the WiFi reset in the SimpleConnect fans. -Nancy

Hm, that actually worked....
I can’t reverse fan , i have the same white remote ..
I accidentally unpaired the remote that came with it and dont know how to re pair it
why does your pfp fit this comment?
Idk
@@tW0shaDE lol
Well ya see, if you have multiple of these Hunter fans, the remote will pair to more than 1…at the same time. So, it’s a mess. Since mine don’t have wall switches and multiple of them are on the same circuit, working this out is going to be a real hassle. Ugh.
Is there a shut off button on the ceiling fan? I can’t find my remote control 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Works perfectly!
Looks great, and with a brighter bulb installed that’s all the light you need. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxWF88GpljEn-0o34vtLFazEQ5h5Q33SjU As far as ease of installation- this was my first ceiling fan and it took about 3 hours because I had no idea what I was doing and also it’s helpful to have a second set of hands and a magnetic drill bit. Works great.
My Hunter remote doesn't have a pair button.
This is the worst experience I've ever had with a fan. It's name brand and yet, it has terrible controls and an unreliable remote. Dimmer settings are difficult, so we just don't use it. Since we installed it, we have always had to press buttons multiple times until it works, and now it won't respond at all.
I should say, I've had it for 2 years. Install was fine, controls were terrible. Cheap remote. It's basically disabled now.
Same here. This fan is terrible. Remote is even worse. From the day we installed it, and it was installed by a professional electric company, it never worked 100% of the time. The battery finally died in the remote, so I just recently put a new one in, but now I have to pair it. Why on earth did they use a remote system that forces you to pair it every time the battery is removed! Makes no sense. Of course, the pairing doesn't work. So now the remote does not work at all, so I have no way of controlling the fan. This fan is by a reputable company and it wasn't cheap - it was an expensive DC motor fan and it is now a paper weight hanging from my ceiling. It will be in the landfill soon.
@@rpols22 I just can't believe it, I don't think I ever even want a fan with a remote again. After replacing the battery mine was working again, barely. I still need to hit the buttons multiple times to get the lights and fan on and off. It's hard to believe something like this ever made it to market.
@@Excalibur2 Yup! Everything is garbage nowadays. Makes you not wanna buy anything...

Hunter Fan Company it worked for me. You should put the pairing directions in the directions that come with the fan. There is nothing about pairing the remote or dimming the lights
can you pair more then one remote to the fan if you buy a extra?
Hi First Choice Towing. Yes, you are able to pair more than one remote to a fan. -Nancy
@@HunterFanCo but can you pair 1 remote with 2 fans? We have an outdoor patio with 2 fans out there and want them both on the same remote
@@HunterFanCo My new replacement control now turns off all 3 bedroom fans/lights…is there a way to synch this with just one bedroom?
You have to remove back screw before sliding back door off. Some genuises huh... Who made this video
The critical trick here is one quick press. Too long a press and it won't work.
Sure. Except for the Hunter Fans with a remote receiver that DON'T have this switch.
It did not work. Tried multiple times. ☹
My fan is on high and will not shut off. The app will not work AT ALL and the remote will not work either. We have flipped the breaker numerous times and the fan just keeps coming back onto the high setting. This is a terrible fan.
No

What if the fan just blinks 3 times and then turn off after trying to pair the remote to the fan?
The remote will not connect to the fan....

@@geoffmatero I bought a new remote off eBay and the fan is fixed, no more problems. 🤙🏼

so if you have 3 different rooms all on same circuit without dedicated wall switches for the fans, you are just going to have to call electrician to unwire all the fans and link device one at a time if they become unpaired. Horrible design.

HOPEFULLY EVERYTHING
