    No child should have to die. Nice to see documentaries about hospice. I lost my dad last year to leukemia and he was on hospice for only about 10 hours before he died. Lost several family members this year and all of them were only on hospice for a couple of days or less. Hospice is wonderful!

    It's very important that the families are very comfortable with the hospice as well as the child. Hospice can become an extension of your family, so it's often very intimate.

    I love listening to black ppl in the uk. They talk proper. Unless the black Americans with all that. Ghetto crap. Nigga and bro and the slang with what I can barely understand. My son is black and white American and he knows he better speak correctly especially his elders.

    You call this depressing place a vacation?

  • @gaelcrane8008
    @gaelcrane8008 5 лет назад

    My goodness how can people drop off their dying children at such a place? They need their families, the love of a family. No, they don’t love it at this place, maybe the parents do I don’t know anyone who would drop off their children. This guy is trying to sell the place, it’s a money maker, now he’s asking for your support, they even list their tel., terrible.

    • @hayliedlr
      @hayliedlr 5 лет назад +10

      The family stays together. They don't drop the child off alone to die. The whole family will live together from time to time as a sort of vacation and when or if the time comes for the child's last days the whole family would move into the butterfly room together.

    • @hayliedlr

      When the girl said parents would get a break from the kids, she just meant that staff will care for the kids while mom and dad go for a walk or something.

      JoJo Loves Limes what do you mean, “the whole fam will live together then when the time comes they will move in together?”Are you not contradicting yourselves?

      @@hayliedlr Clearly they are talking about giving the family a break away from the care of a child who sometimes requires 24/7 attention. The parents can chose whether or not they stay with the child. Apparently the majority go away for a while and as one mother said, she doesn't have to ring up every hour because she knows her child is comfortable and happy without her being there. This is a wonderful gift for these parents. If someone has never had to give the constant attention these children need, has no idea how exhausting it can be and what a strain it can put on the rest of the family that is trying to just cope. Some of these kids have been coming and going to Haven House for many years (one said her son had been there a few times a year for seven years!) and these breaks are what allows the family to get desperately needed break.

    No the house where Thomas lives isNOT HIS HOME you are his parents and you are responsible for his home and u don’t need a place to bring him. Shame on u. This is a disgusting video!! U should want to be where he is and caring for him.

      How it's like a full time job caring for a child with severe disabilities, you clearly have no idea how it is. I think it's amazing that the families with very sick children can get this kind of support or they would risk going on the wall themselves and not able to fully be there and care for their children.

    • @teijaflink2226
      @teijaflink2226 4 года назад +5

      And the families don't just dymp their children there, most are probably there all the time with their child while they get help with the medical care from nurses so they can fully only focus on being a parent without all the time worrying about the medical care. Some maybe leave the child there with the nurses for a little while so they can spend quality time with their siblings, I don't see anything wrong with that as the siblings need their parents too. Caring for a very sick child is extremely draining and often a constant fight, anyone would get tired and need little bit of rest and anyway the parents can be there with the children all the time if they want to.

    • @teijaflink2226
      @teijaflink2226 4 года назад +3

      It would of course be cruel to dump your child alone without their parents for a longer time there but I really doubt most parents do that and specially if the child doesn't have long time left.
