Knitted in Regia premium merino yak 4ply in colours Nachtblau Meliert (07515) and Gold Meliert (07504). I used 2.5 balls of each colour.

My son, Bill, went to gorgeous, tiny, little special needs school for gorgeous special children. Bill and his friends there all need just a little more care, attention, love and guidance to help them access friendships and education. Bill has autism (and a variety of other issues such as Sensory Processing Disorder, ADD, Dyspraxia, Global Developmental Delay and Klinefelters Syndrome) and most of his school mates have similar challenges as well as Dyslexia across the board. Bill's school is woefully underfunded for a variety of reasons that would take pages of text to explain. The teachers aren't well paid yet they are constantly buying supplies the children need that most pupils don't require; such as pen grips and fiddle toys to aid concentration etc...I have been fundraising for a few years now and with your help have managed to help subsidise school trips, buy sensory room equipment, Occupational Therapy equipment, outdoor tables and chairs, a trampoline...and a mini bus!! # billsspecialbus 🤩 All this fundraising helps a phenomenal school that has given so many children a future they would not have been able to access. Thank you so much for any kind of support you give us.

There is still snow on the ground and it's -8 celius tonight. I won't be putting any tomatoes out till the end of May. Looking forward to April vlogs,
Will you have higher temperatures and more consistent sunshine than us though? I’d rather have a smaller but more reliable season. Sometimes we put in our tomatoes in early April and still don’t get any to pick till mid July! Mind you it is nice to be able to spread out the work xxx
@@talesfromcuckooland The temperature will go up eventually and we will have 17 hours of daylight with big blue skies. By the end of May we can safely plant in the ground. It makes us all a little plant crazy! :)

It’s a lively thing to have on the go when you want some mindless knitting. I really enjoyed it but it is a lot of plain old knit stitch…but that’s my favourite.

I did a round up of unfinished projects hiding around the family room, have been purging and rearranging rooms preparing for window replacements, starting yard and garden work, brooding 6 chicks in my bathroom, and trying to strike some balance in my life! There is something a bit special about washed wool. I find it a very comforting whiff!

I wear my half and half as a shawl and hold it together in the front with a hand crafted, hammered silver pin whose head is shaped like a bolt of lightening. ( I purchased in Uruguay) years ago.
The pin is very long - not to be worn at the airport😜
It does the job of holding the shawl together, I have had many compliments wearing the wrap this way.

Hello Gayna. You know it’s funny that I found you on RUclips years ago because of a gardening segment you did. It was greenhouse segment if I remember correctly. I too get out there begrudgingly so that I can literally reap what I sow. Sticking around. Didn’t leave your channel. I just had a different handle. Had to change a little bit ago. BTW I love the shawl. Color and all.
Begrudging is a good word. Once I’m out there I poddle along ok but it’s not my favourite 🤪

I ended up abandoning that pattern. The shoulders looked funny and I was it enjoying the way the pattern was written and constructed. I’m doing Floof by skiendeer knits now and it’s so much better 😍

Hi Gayna lovely to catch up. I’m glad that you altered your sweater to fit. I did that recently with my Felix cardigan The neck felt very wide so I undid the rib and added more to effectively double it. I had to knit a second buttonhole to line up with the first one when I double it over. It’s much better now and I’ll wear it instead of a coat in spring/autumn. I’ve been using my measurements taken t VKL in 2018 so I must recheck them I haven’t changed shape or size so I’m not expecting a big difference. I’ll definitely watch the first half of April (I’m not planning to take more than my phone on the Camino so I’ll have a break from most social media while walking) I’m cleaning out my summer house and potting table today using a lot of the. Nancy Birtwistle Clean Green living book . Seed sowing will follow

hi Gayna (sp?) I really enjoyed this, laughing at several points - you are so funny. That blue patterned Lopi jersey looks incredible on you - the colouring is just perfect. I also love your dress with the pin-tucked back - is that one you have made? As for the garden, I think once you get out there in the better weather your motivation will return. I too begin every Spring thinking I will grow less and do more house maintenance but so far that plan has not worked! I loved hearing your son laughing so joyfully and your other son mowing, I'm so happy you don't edit these bits out.
You are always so inspirational, I just frogged part of my sweater that I wasn’t wearing, I had to lengthen the sleeves and shorten the body it feel so good to now really like the way it fits.
My new mantra is to make things that I will actually wear.

Sorry about the scammers messaging you. Yes it does feel wonderful to change something to make it wearable. I almost get more pleasure out of doing that than I do from making the garment in the first place.
