I worked at a hotel at the front desk on Vancouver Island about 7 years ago. Tegan and Sara checked into the hotel and I immediately burst into tears like a lunatic.... couldn't get my shit together. Still embarrassed to this day.
did you get to talk to them? or did they realize they were the reason you were crying?

@@AnandaLG Yes! I was the only person working at the front desk. I immediately cried when they talked through the doors... couldn't believe it was them! They both laughed at me (in a nice way) and watched me struggle giving them their room keys. A day I won't forget!

I can't be the only one that had a mini heart attack when tegan mentioned courtney love. Two musicians that have both been such an enormous presence in my life, they were sharing the same oxygen, in the same room at the same time. Love it.

Honestly, Billie Eilish's song "When the Party's Over" reminded me of one of Tegan and Sara's songs and their sound.....when I heard WTPO I immediately thought of Tegan and Sara......and that song made me become hooked on Billie Eilish. So at the end of the day, Tegan and Sara is why I like Billie Eilish lol.

jorge ayon I’m a fan of them, but given that literally every man in music has misogynistic songs, and Sara called out Tyler and Tyler only...there was probably some racism at play there. And it’s not accurate to say that they’ve never been racist because for one thing you don’t know them, and for another, they’re white people in a racist society. I guarantee they’ve said and done racist things, just because everyone has.
