McBurney's production of The Magic Flute was the best ever! The emotional impact, and the complexity of the Queen's story had me sobbing!

The singers are not even mentioned in the trailer. I noticed Stanislas de Barberac probably as Tamino and who else? But we have the name of the sound engineer, a name to remember certainly. 👎👎👎

I think the video of singers in this clip are not the Met's cast.

@@keckiebooks You're probably right but whoever they are they could mention their names.

@@catherinecozzano2580there are rehearsal videos and the trailer that credit the Met singers. These are from the ENO production in London a couple of years ago so perhaps unhelpful to an American audience.

I have seen McBurney's production of The Master and Margarita at the Barbican. It was the most amazing display of bad taste and intellectual incompetence.

The Met and ENO collaboration yet again. Yawn. Nobody goes to ENO here in the uk. Why would anybody go anywhere else?

in case you haven't noticed, the UK isn't the center of the universe - the rest of the world isn't required to like what you like and dislike what you dislike

This production made me want to puke. I kept trying to imagine how it could have been more offensive, and couldn't. And I usually like non-traditional settings of operas, especially Mozart.
