Walking in the wine and spirits shop yesterday,, picked up the mezcal you suggested and some el Tesoro’s reposado,, but I’m writing now because a younger black guy picked up the rocks reposado and i said you like that he said yes because the rock wouldn’t promote junk .., I told him try what I’m buying I bet you will love it,, he does and he took my number and he texted me today that him and his lady finished the bottle and they woke up great , no hang over or headache or anything… I asked him would he buy again and he said he will buy no other and the rocks repo would give them a headache after a glass two… Wrapping it up I gave him your RUclips and said you never pointed me in wrong direction and I said try what you promote.. So thank you 😊 and keep it up … I’m buying and searching for the tequila you promote all the time …
G4 is amazing... The one you are showing is G4 Madera really good, but high alcohol. The regular G4 Blanco is great!!! One of my favorites, together with ArtNom 1579, which is also made by Felipe Camarena. Very similar Blancos.
I currently have the reposado versions of all three brands here. To me, the G4 and Mijenta are very close in the reposados. Personally I would almost give the edge to Mijenta, it just seems to have a few more flavors on the palate (have to try the other versions). Siete Leguas is definitely different from the other two, but absolutely wonderful as well. All three are fabulous, thank you for your expertise in sorting out the best of the best among a sea of offerings.
OLDTown Tequila is an online ordering company. You can find some good things there. Sometimes at a good price. I know paying for shipping is a pain but to get the right tequilas and Mezcals. It is worth it to me.
I am! I'm trying to make sure I post once every two weeks at minimum hahaha but pushing for once a week. I recently got someone to help me edit so the workload on the long form videos isn't as tough
Hi Lui, I rarely make Tequila cocktails nowadays, my bottles are getting low. I love Mezcal and am on my third or fourth bottle. I do still make many of your recipes for my drinks, they remain favourites in by second of 3 notebooks when you published so many recipes so frequently. Kind regards, Nick from York
Everyone that comes over to my house and tells me they love don julio or patron, i tell them, "here try 7 leguas. This is tequila" and they always say the same thing, "this is way better!" A paloma with 7 leguas is so good. Expensive but its my home bar. 😁
Many of the tequilas you review are not available here in the Netherlands. But Mijenta is one that is, and I personnaly really like that one also. I like the blanco and the reposado, havent tried the anejo yet.
Nice video Lui. Haven't tried the first 2 but have tried the G4 high proof. Its excellent. Love the different water blends they use at nom 1579. The Volans line is also excellent. Salud.
Mijenta, got a few bottles a few years ago, haven't seen it since, finally looked it up, price more than doubled, to where i thought it deserved to be from the start. All time favorite, yet to try its equal
All three of these are excellent tequilas. Right now G4 reposado is my favorite sipping tequila, I love its natural agave flavor that has just the right amount of earthiness, and sweetness from the barrel, it’s fabulous. I don’t really drink Añejo tequilas that much because the longer barrel aging process sometimes subdues the agave flavor a little bit too much, but not Siete Leguas añejo. The barrel notes add some really nice richness to its flavor profile and the creamy mouthfeel that you get from that brand, and it still keeps the rich agave flavor. I also get hints of dark chocolate and tropical fruits from that one.
Ok all you out there, I’m going to tell you to try the Suavecito Blanco! Home run! I’m not a fan of Blanco’s and this is the only one I absolutely adore! Very low cost. It’s always gone within 2-3 days whenever we get it in at Total Wine and more.
Been watching a lot of your videos---Question: when you recommend a brand of tequila in the video, should we be focused on the exact bottle (type) you are reviewing, or is it safe to say all variations from that brand are highly ranked. Trying to get some ideas of bottles to try, but while I can't afford the g4 anejo or extra, I could the $50 blanco, but not sure if I can apply the review to the blanco.. Thanks
Usually thats the case IMO, but a lot of times that isn't the case because some brands make one great expression but I don't personally like the rest that they make but for a majority of brands I enjoy, I do stand by what the whole brand represents.
I scored a bottle of Siete Leguas Reposado last week and yesterday I saw a bottle of it that was considerably darker in color, the label was different, and mine was 700ml and this was 750ml and came in a box. Is it the same thing just different year? I can't really find any information about it.
In my exploration of still-strength tequilas, I did try the G4 expression and LOVED it. Now, it's not available in the local liquor store. Can you tell me how their blanco compares to the still-strength? As good as Fortaleza tequila is, their proofed expression pales in comparison to the still-strength.
@@gamingandfishingchannel5035 both are excellent for different reasons. G4 has this salinity almost savoriness to it. While Cazcanes has less salinity and minerality to it. Both are amazing, just taste different
I actually hate the glass cork on mijenta's bottles. Much like Rosé bottles it can be unnecessarily difficult to open at times! With that being said the tequila itself its amazing!
Siete leagues blanco is creamy and yummy,Mijenta blanco is creamy and yummy,G4 (regular blue label) the one you are sampling is the Madera ,it is very rare and hard ton find and should not be compared to the others in this video...but G4 is a bit more balanced but a bit too much citrus for me,I prefer the creamy mouth feel of Mijenta. All 3 are EXCELLENT !!!
Hi Lui, I’ve had them all, albeit only blancos (referring to Siete Leguas), and what a great story behind the name. All are wonderful. Couple of quick comments: I must be the only one who had trouble removing Mijenta’s glass stopper. For myself, I put Cascahuín a really, really close second to Fortaleza; in particular their Tahona and Plata 48 expressions

Not particularly. I tend to prefer Añejos. I find that Extra Anejos sometimes tend to muddling up the flavor what a well made tequila was originally intended as. I know a lot of folks like them but I'm not the biggest fan usually.
You are so right. The audio for this video was dog shit. And i thoroughly apologize. I had gotten a new wireless transmission equipment that i was still working with. Sorry about that one.
Yesterday i found a hidden gem, El Destilador for under $20🥰!!... I had the Blanco and i paired it with Grapefruit supremes and fresh pineapple slices... Overall a feminine tequila with pineapple undertones and slight black pepper and green bell pepper spice... I highly recommend it especially with an orange peel, the essential oils increase the perfumy tropical aromas of this lovely Blanco.... Salud!!
Why don't you ever give prices on the brands tou recommend? You should ratexthe best bargain brand because not everybody has the money to buy expensive Taquilla!
Because talking about prices is almost impossible. Every city, in every state and every store may charge a different price. So I don't know what the price is in your state.

Thanks again Lui - Great recommendations - Love G4 and Siete Leguas. I need to get hold of Mijenta..Cheers my virtual friend
Cheers my friend! Yes definitely try Mijenta if you enjoy G4 & Siete Leguas! 😁😁🙌
Thanks for spreading your knowledge for free!

That premium blanco from g4 just saw it for the first time and passed it up. Maybe I need to go back and grab it huh!
Thanks!

Those 2 are so overrated 🙄
I need to try 7 Leguas sometime.

I bought a bottle of 7 leguas añejo. It was a bit expensive at $115 but what an amazing experience, very good!
They did you dirty, it shouldn't cost more than 70+tax

Just got some G4 tonight….. will be drinking tonight. 🎉🎉
Wooooo! Enjoy!
Apparently Fortaleza is not available in Michigan 😫
Any way you can review the corralejo tequilas especially the 99000 horas one.

Hard thing is finding these. I really enjoy tequila neat. Unfortunately in my area we don’t have a great variety.
Does anybody know a good local tequila i can pick up in PVR. And i don't want to go on a distillery tour to buy it
Which one is a better tequila purchase Mihenta blanco or El torsoro blanco.
For me, Arette blanco is the best value on the market. I prefer it to many more expensive and celebrated brands.
I can totally see that
Cannot go wrong with 7 Leguas ❤ it😊
Can you make a video about La Gritona ?
I love La Gritona, unfortunately where I am the distributors have discontinued it. Even though it flies off the shelf I now have to go out of state
i like your list but you never talk about nom 1480 i really like don abraham and 123 organic
7 Leguas is my favorite Blanco to sip
Soooo good

G4 has been sold out for a longgg time in my area so I haven’t been able to taste the one yet.
I legitimately just had a meeting with my sales rep and he said they have no preview or idea of when it'll be back in stock in the states.

If by Tequila Camarena you're referring to Familia Camarena tequila, I doubt Felipe is associated with it as it is low quality and diffuser made.
So i was mistaken! The Camarena family is massive and i was uneducated in how large it really was. That was a mistake by me. My bad!
