- I took the very first opportunity that I could find to hop on the 2023 Indian Sport Chief. A mere 10 days after it was announced I found myself at Bike Week in Daytona Beach with a un-supervised pass to test ride Indian's new sport cruiser, I took full advantage of the opportunity to see how the Sport Chief compares to its Harley Davidson counterparts, the Low Rider S and ST.

Indian got their steering head geometry dialed in. My Roadmaster has that same light feeling off the side stand or at low speed maneuvering. P.S. maybe the best review vid I’ve watched. Like your delivery and positive take. Most people try to pick bikes apart simply because it’s not their brand. So good on you.
Thank you for that feedback! I was very impressed with the low speed assurance and comfort of the Sport Chief. I rode the Springfield Darkhorse as well. That video is coming soon.

Nice review Kenny, very entertaining video. You got this or the Low rider S? In terms of the physical size is the low rider larger? I feel like the Sport Chief is a bit small on the road..
Thanks! The sport Chief wheel base is just over an inch longer BUT it’s overall length is 2.5 inches shorter. So you have a good eye!
Low rider S has an inner plastic gear box - correct like the soft tail slim …? - CHINESE JUNK
Would you still need to swap out the fairing for a road warrior is the stock equivalent?
You could it’s held on by removable brackets, but there’s 3 shield sizes to pick from, the fairing is vented for up draft, it appears to be a solid design.
Would you get a sport chief or a lowrider st in your opinion what iam looking at I got approved at black bear in Va for a fast Johnnie when sale guy went back and forth two months came to money part could not disclose any payment from information over the phone then said got approve then told sale I no save back waiting guy to buy a house I was saleing then deal didn’t come through so crushed me bad
At stock the Sport Chief gives you allot more then the S, as for the ST considering now that you can buy an ST fairing from a brand called AvanBlack finished in a Harley color I’d buy a softail sport glide do the 107 to 119 kit, buy the ST fairing from Advanblack and save money because In my area a fast Johnnie is $30k+ out the door
