That back alley look just like the type of place where unsupervised adolescents or dimwits can cause trouble and destruction to those unprotected birds and their young. I am so glad there are people like you who rescue and respect such amazing birds.
I had to laugh when Pie tried to scratch his head and fell over. I have never seen any bird do that. So funny! Pie is a very special bird and a lovely member of your family!
honestly crows, ravens, and magpies are part of the same family so they are vary smart compaired to most other birds and are vary likely to try to mimic or maybe even talk to people with the words they have learned
This is very dear. Pie came from tragedy. But how he responded so easily and trusted you. He hoped you would help him. And you always did. He is so pretty and smart and enjoying the life that you give him. Thank you for sharing your world. It is embued with love and kindness. G-d bless you all.
Pie, a little boy! What an amazing bird! “Come here, Peach! Come here, Peach! Peach!” And to think he would have died in that back alley were it not for Kullike! It seems that this human race is divided into horrible people and wonderful people. The two of you did great work in nursing Pie, feeding him, and helping him become a beautiful healthy magpie! Thank you for what you do to bend the curve towards peace and kindness.
Pie is God's gift to you for being the good hearted people you are.Magpie chicks remind me of the baby robins we would find fallen from a nest some springs, I loved them, they were the strongest and fistiest, yo knew they could like if they had a chance where other baby birds were too fragile. We rescued a few that flew away or stayed in our yard but never like this. I cannot even get my cat to behave and stay close to me outdoors so well.
wow , loving the whole family dynamics ... my neighbors think that I am somewhat crazy because of being able to and wanting to make pals with three wild magpies . The three of them started coming around when ever I went outside , and I do mean landing within a 5 foot area of me calling to them . I do admit to feeding them , and they respond to my calling them , plus my bonus is that they now speak to me in their differing tonalities , which is absolutely amazing to me . They have just started to come to my in house office window and call me to go outside and feed them , but it must be much more than that , because they always seem to be around when ever I work outside in the yard , and have begun communicating much more than usual , even when it is not feeding time for them . The crow family is amazing to me as to their intelligence ... thanks for the posting , T...
He prayeth best, who loveth best All things both great and small; For the dear God who loveth us, He made and loveth all. From "The rime of the ancient mariner" by Samuel Taylor Coleridge.
I LOVE THIS!!! Thank you so much! You are two BEAUTIFUL people!! Oh my God that gorgeous bird, Little Pie!! This is one of the best things I've ever seen. It is all so beautiful, the way you look after these beautiful birds. Thank you!!
Watchedthis when you posted and just now again. Pie is special and what a great family he has thanks to your care in many ways. Love his vocals! Bless you guys.
I am more than just glad that you are rescuing these sweet sweet birds..Since I moved from Northern California to Maryland/DC area...I jhave really really fallen in love with all of the birdies here...and I also know that I will end up loving the birdies in Arizona where my hubby and I may live for awhile as well as well as many other places too! I loved feeding my feathered friends..we had Finches ,Doves ,Blue Jays Mocking Birds, Red Cardinals (male and female), Sparrows(Mom and dad), Starlings and Crows! I loved all of them so much! We also had a bunch of squirrels! I loved all of my feathery babies! LOL!
I found a baby magpie yesterday, I've been feeding it regularly and he's very vocal and today he started to really call for food. The little cutie likes to be pet and is really chatty, so adorable :) I feed him wet dog food and later I'll go look for some worms in the yard 😊
Thank god you saved both of these lovely creatures. I can't wait to watch all the videos about these two because all of you are great fun. Thank you for giving them such a wonderful life.
I don't know what's more adorable: the baby magpie, or the two of you caring for it with respect and love, and making these videos together for all of us :)
I adore Little Pie ~ he's so playful, intelligent, and full of life. Thank you so much for rescuing this precious bird, he's clearly very happy, and loves his adoptive family very much. He's such a beautiful little guy, and it infuriates me that anyone would hurt these sweet little characters.
I liked the entire video but especially the visit to the vet. What an amazing bird. I have seen them in the UK but none in Canada to date. Thanks for rescuing these birds. You are taking such good care of them.
He is adorable 😊😂. You are wonderful for rescuing him and peach/maple. You are doing a wonderful job raising them and I look forward to seeing more videos on the two of them.
OMG! I've always liked Magpies but I've never seen a baby one before, just adorable and full of character. The crow is cute too. You're lovely people to save the crow n lil pie, you took excellent care of them. Pie's growing up so nicely and happy too. They both are.
So Cute ! When I lived in Germany...I was at an outside restaurant... and a Magpie...came to the Gentleman's table next to mine... took his fork & left w/ it...lol It was so funny to all of us sitting there ....
I have watched a few of your videos now, and I'm hooked. You are blessed and I think it's beautiful the way you have rescued and nurtured these precious little lives. The world needs more people like you. Love and hugs to you all xx
Aw Pie is so sweet and funny, especially at the end, I literally laughed out loud 😆✌ He's so lucky you found him to save him after all his family and other bird friends were killed.. it's so good to see he's happy and looked after now. 😌🙏👍
Just yesterday I found a baby magpie (around the same age as the one you saved) in our backyard, my dog had tried getting at it but we shooed the little guy through a hole on the other side of the fence. It's parents are still around and taking care of it and I have been keeping an eye on him.
That is very good that you are keeping an eye on the bird and helped it out. It's best to just watch and observe if a parent is around and not interfere.
I am new to the channel. I have never seen a Magpie before. I enjoyed watching you caring for these adorable birds. I have two cockatiels and five parakeets, all born in my home..the fly free...
Good Sunday morning to you both Dennis and Kullike, and to all of your loving and adorable companions! I LOVE this video showing Pie's progression of life. I also love, Love, LOVE Pie's vocabulary, especially when he laughs and coughs like you Kullike, loloud! Have a peaceful and loving Sunday...
What i beautiful creature, it is truly stunning and humbling to see this. Thank you for your wonderful video's and your amazing kindness to these birds
Please keep making more videos, we want to see these birds growing up. I hope they would stay in your family as they do. My daughter and I tried to save a robin chic. We had to feed her/him earth warms because she didn't eat the cat food. Unfortunately, as soon as we took her/him out, she/he flew away never to be seen again.
Everything-even terrible stuff like what went on in the back alley-happens for a reason. You guys were meant to find Pie and give him the best home he could have hoped for. And in return he made himself one of the greatest staples of your channel. Talk on, little Pie! 🖤
Wonderful video, have seen a few other videos of yours too. Congrats guys, you have some lovely birds, your hard work has made them into the lovely birds that they are today.
Yeah i don't know whats wrong with people shooting innocent wildlife, its just terrible, I'm sure glad you was able to find him and nurse him back to life, Little pie has a new lease on life thanks to you 2, so glad we get to see Little pie grow up and progress into a cute and funny cheeky little bird , it warms my heart to to how much love you have for your pets , the world needs more people like you !!!thanks for sharing !!!👍👍👍😁
Its the amazing story of a Magpie who can talk - you all must see this - he can talk very clearly!! Thanks to Dennis and Kullike! Thank you both again for taking care of the birds! Best out of Bavaria, Germany!
Hi Dennis & Küllike! I have been busy but now taking time to catch up with you. Wow! You have been very productive with excellent videos. Thank you. Love the look back at Maple and Pie. What a good reminder how so many other creatures need our help and how you are both such wonderful stewards. warm regards vic
Well done saving this little one, he is beautiful. Also the enrichment you provide to your rescued birds is really great to see. Pie is a really good talker too!
When I was a little girl, my Dad was a bush pilot who flew people, supplies, and medicines to various Native settlements in Northwestern Canada. Often he would take the entire family along and we'd stay with him. One summer, the people of one of the settlements gave me the child name: Apisci Kakakes 'Magpie'. I had been told that magpies could talk; although I believed it, I had never seen evidence to support this claim. About 25 years ago, someone left an injured magpie in a box on my front step, rang the bell and took off. (Shades of Thomasina). The bird was feathered but still too young to be on its own. It appeared to have been mauled by a cat. I named it Poe. I kept Poe in a barred travel cage in the shelter of the balcony where he had a panoramic view of the area, fed him cat food and water, and let him heal undisturbed. Later that day, there was a family of 5 magpies in the spruce tree shading the balcony and, judging by their behaviour, it was Poe's parents and siblings. They hung around often during the day, visiting and chattering to him, and took to roosting in the tree at night where they could keep an eye on him and exchange cackles and mutters. After several weeks, Poe had healed without infection and new feathers were coming in; I opened the cage and let him go. The entire family was in the tree, chattering to him and, after taking several minutes realising that he was free to go, and figuring out how to fly from the cage, through the balcony bars and out, Poe flew from the cage, banked perfectly to the right to be able to fit through the balcony bars on the vertical, and on to the tree where he was greeted by a mob of magpies and an animated cacophony of greetings. One of the parents flew off to return with a chunk of shale; she passed the shale to Poe, who played with it for a while, then they all flew away. A few weeks later, one morning as my coffee and I were talking an early morning walk, I was greeted by a magpie that had flown over to land on the privacy fence in front of me. For the next 20 minutes or so he shared with me a beautiful and incredibly varied repertoire of the songs of practically every species of songbird in the area. All the while he had his body horizontal, head down to my level, and looking me straight in the eye. I know it was Poe. When he was done, I thanked him for his gift. He cackled softly, gave his body a little feather ruffling shake, and flew away. I will always remember that private exchange. Unfortunately, this was before mobile phones, so I was unable to catch it on video.
I've been here in the Rockys for a year now and how I've seen Magpies be fearless. A mom and her baby visited my feeders/water hole and they ate some of the cherries I leave for the Robins. But they just wanted water since it's so darn hot here 😭😭😭
I love this, years ago I did wildlife rehab in Sacramento, CA. As a kid I raised and released many birds including jays, crows and other small songbirds. Corvids are my favorite by far. Now that I live in rural NW WA state I am surrounded by Stellar jays, grey jays and my favorite of all ravens. Thank you for sharing your videos of Pie and Peach, brings back so many fond memories.
It's always so touching to see what you went through to save Pie. You have to love animals to go through all this work and sacrifice to save another living creature. You've been very dedicated to so this for the birds that you have. Not everyone can do this. thank God for people like you..............................
Awesome video , my cockatiel was going crazy to little Pie's cute calls and chatting ''come here'' wow incredible. I was told by someone once in the day's of Adam & Eve in the garden of Eden all the birds could talk, beautiful story I like to think it is true. I found a baby Jack Daw last year, luckily the parents appeared after a few hours and were dive bombing me because I was holding their jack daw, I removed it out of the reach from a huge ginger cat who had it's an eye on it for lunch. Luckily the baby Jack Daw's family took watch over it till it learned to fly, amazing watching the adults fly down to feed the baby. It is a fully grown huge adult now and the family all live in the chimneys above my house. New Chicks soon, Spring time is here in the UK!
Thank you so much for showing so much care and love to God's beautiful and amazing creatures. So many humans want to kill everything with no care for beautiful and intelligent creatures God blesses us with, both to teach and to learn from. They all beautify this earth.
Thanks for watching, Raudi! We do have a GoFundMe page for Cherry. He is one of our adult crows that we adopted from a local wildlife rehabilitation here and we did a fund raiser awhile ago to help with the costs of his surgically repaired wing and it is still an active page. Here is the link to that page and if you are interested in making a donation, it would be gratefully appreciated as there are always ongoing needs for the birds. www.gofundme.com/cherrys-medical-bills
Kulika ur an amazing person, so few ppl care bout corvids in the cities - u and Denis r their saviour angels 😇 Love you guys and all the fantastically good things you do! 🐦 🐦 💙 🐦 🐦
Back in the mid 90s I split an apartment with a coworker and he found a pigeon dying by the sewer. He had a copper band on his leg so someone owned him. We nursed him back to health and he didn't want to leave. I didn't care I wanted to keep him. The roommate took him everywhere, but he always came home sitting on the back porch. Eventually he did leave and I always wondered what happened to him. I hoped he found his original owner. Great job taking care of those birds.
@@chv72 Somebody told me the band on his leg with the number meant he was a racer. I don't know about that, but it might explain why he was exhausted in the street by the sewer in bad shape. I was surprised how quickly he recovered and was able to fly. I think he liked us and didn't want to go home to his original owner. He used to sit on my shoulder as I walked around the neighborhood. I haven't thought about the little guy in quite a few years, brings back memories.
Awwww. .this video is so heartwarming. .Just love corvids. .They are so intelligent! Birds have always been my favourite animals ever since childhood, n it grieves me when people hurt/harm kill or treat them so badly. I keep a fantastic 10yr old male yellow crowned Amazon parrot called Hooch. .Just love him to bits! If ever I had the chance to rescue and take in a baby crow or magpie though, would just jump at the chance. .Pie and his friends and absolutely adorable. .Bless you all!!!😀😀😀
RpetsAndUs Thankyou, It is just wonderful how you both are so dedicated to your flock..They all look so loved and well cared for. I currently live with my brother ( and am somewhat restricted as he isn't an animal/bird person) Also have fibromyalgia but hope to have my own little place in the next few months. I keep a few other exotic animals, (3 snakes a leopard gecko n some inverts) .just small critters apart from Merlin my 7ft female Boa Constrictor that I've had since she was a baby!! Just love them all but my Hoochie Boy is just the BEST! Just love the way your Pie talks and chatters..he is absolutely adorable! !❤❤❤❤
That back alley look just like the type of place where unsupervised adolescents or dimwits can cause trouble and destruction to those unprotected birds and their young. I am so glad there are people like you who rescue and respect such amazing birds.
I'll never understand how people can hurt or kill birds you are wonderful people to love and care for Pie .❤
Your birds are so Fortunate to have been found by you guys! They are so well-loved and cared for!
Thanks for your kind words!
I agree!
I had to laugh when Pie tried to scratch his head and fell over. I have never seen any bird do that. So funny! Pie is a very special bird and a lovely member of your family!
Haha! Yes, that was funny! Thanks for watching, Ben!
Once I was lucky to see a black headed gull to scratch his (her) head when he (or she ) was flying.. looked quite funny...
I didn't know Magpies could mimic voices and sounds like that!
We didn't either! :-)
honestly crows, ravens, and magpies are part of the same family so they are vary smart compaired to most other birds and are vary likely to try to mimic or maybe even talk to people with the words they have learned
They are such special birds. Little smarties!
Thank you for caring the bird God Bless..
You are so kind
There's nothing more beautiful than when a wild animal fully trusts a human
This is very dear. Pie came from tragedy. But how he responded so easily and trusted you. He hoped you would help him. And you always did. He is so pretty and smart and enjoying the life that you give him.
Thank you for sharing your world. It is embued with love and kindness. G-d bless you all.
Another lovely video! Pie is such a happy little guy. His vocalisations are always great to hear!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Little Pie sure did grow up to be a happy addition to your family. He's happy now. :)
Thanks for watching, Anthony! Yes, he seems to be a really happy bird!
I feel so bad for those crows. It broke my heart. Fly high crows in heaven
Thanks for saving him. Some people just hate magpies, and I'm glad they didn't come back to finish off pie.
Pie, a little boy! What an amazing bird! “Come here, Peach! Come here, Peach! Peach!” And to think he would have died in that back alley were it not for Kullike! I wanted to thank you for your kindness. What amazing creatures they are.
They are!
I certainly enjoyed this video of Precious Pie ❤️
He’s always been a quick thinker and kind of feisty and demanding with his voice 😉😀
6:56 maple mustve told a really good joke!!! 😂
Haha! You are right! That's exactly how it sounds like!
Pie and Maple are very happy birds now!
9:36 Magpie: come here
It's so sweet that I'm melting right now. AWWWwwww 😍

Pie’s story is so easy to understand here, thank you for your hard work making all these videos!! 🙏🙏💕💕
Glad to hear that! Thanks for watching!
I am so so thankful you save his life
wow , loving the whole family dynamics ... my neighbors think that I am somewhat crazy because of being able to and wanting to make pals with three wild magpies . Insane, I had no idea they were such good mimics\ talkers. What a wonderful addition to your life 🤗
irresistible beautifull and funny tough guy or girl
I also notice the magpies grab the cherry with their foot to eat while the Robbins run around pecking the cherry til they fly off with them.

I've been here in the Rockys for a year now and how I've seen Magpies be fearless. A mom and her baby visited my feeders/water hole and they ate some of the cherries I leave for the Robins. But they just wanted water since it's so darn hot here 😭😭😭
Yeah, they love cherries.
What a beautiful and very smart bird Pie is! Very touching story... Thank you both!
Thank you , too! Glad you enjoyed the story!
God bless you both for rescuing all these beautiful birds you've rescued. ❤️💕
Thanks for watching, too!
Your wife is a nurturer, she is excellent with plants and very maternal with birds. She is marvelous.
It's always so touching to see what you went through to save Pie. You have to love animals to go through all this work and sacrifice to save another living creature. You've been very dedicated to so this for the birds that you have. Not everyone can do this. thank God for people like you..............................
Thank you for your very kind words, Pat!
That's so funny. He actually said "come here, Peach" and then legitimately coughed, followed by laughter
My god!!!!! This is so amazing and cute im gonna cry!!!!! Love you guys birds doggy and kitty!!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for caring for these precious little beautiful creatures!!
Thanks , it was life saving. I had no idea how to catch so many insects. In the middle of the video, I already fed it with soaked catfood. Loved it!
You are so kind. God bless you in every way possible.
Thanks for your kind words!
God bless you for caring for these precious little ones!❤
You guys should have a patreon or PayPal link so people can tip you
Thanks for watching, Raudi!

Thanks for helping that beautiful pigeon.
@@chv72 I can't stand to see an innocent animal suffer.
If ever I had the chance to rescue and take in a baby crow or magpie though, would just jump at the chance. .Pie and his friends and absolutely adorable. .Bless you all!!!😀😀😀
Thanks for watching, Arya, and for your very kind words! We love parrots, too! Well, all birds actually! :-)
I keep a few other exotic animals, (3 snakes a
leopard gecko n some inverts) .just small critters apart from Merlin my 7ft female Boa Constrictor that I've had since she was a baby!! Just love them all but my Hoochie Boy is just the BEST!
Just love the way your Pie talks and chatters..he is absolutely adorable! !❤❤❤❤
Great video! Your birds are beautiful and so lucky to have you both! Loved hearing Little Pie talk!
