We added these school wide. It’s crazy how much it’s helped because they don’t miss instruction but still get what they need.

Thank you!!! I’m moving from middle to high school teaching 9th & 11th. I created a “Simma Down Now” 😂 corner with Poppables hanging on the wall, carpet/pillow, coloring sheets, colored pencils & markers and a giant collaborative coloring poster. Students can have 10-15 min to calm down and behind my shelves so still apart of class but out of sight to a degree to get some separation. Glad to know, I was not out of my mind doing something like this.

I too, am creating a ‘Calm Corner,” so my kids can use tactile stuff, or do a coloring page, or smell a lavender lotion or spray to calm down..I like the idea of QR codes for resources…

I love your ideas! Would you be willing to share your podcast recommendation playlists that you share with your students with the QR code? I'm also interested if you have any resources pertaining to research about listening you would be willing to share. I'm eager to see your updates pertaining to your sensory wall. I'm running out of space in my classroom, but I'm toying with a potential corner I could cultivate for this purpose. I'm so happy you have created this channel; you always inspire me.

"Those who need it should have it".
I could not have said it better myself, Marie.

I love the idea of the Leggo wall but I can't imagine my students not throwing the leggos at each other. I teach all 10th grade.
