Michelle, you are a God-send! I have close to 275 students as a Spanish K-8 teacher and organization is essential to survival. Thank you for helping me get better organized with these great tips. I watched your other video 10 Best Classroom Purchases of All Time and I bought several of those items, as well. Keep 'em coming!
If you are looking for a cheaper alternative to a clip board holder, I have used a 10 dollar dish drying rack from Walmart for 5 years. It works great! I have a big one for clip boards and a smaller one for white boards. I even use the little utensil holder for pencils and dry erase markers, so everything they need is right there together.
Michelle, I have taught for 39 yrs before I retired and I had all of these and more in my classroom. So glad to know that I am not the only one that was so crazy about using these items. Yes, I brought several of them back home for organizing too. Now we need to work these into our houses for organizing our panties, bathroom, laundry, and home offices.
One thing I like about the Steriliate drawers is that you can take to top off, stack them and click them together so they don’t slide around. Great video! Love the advice.
I have been teaching for 23 years!! Where were you then? Amazing ideas and organizational tips. Thanks so much for sharing your excellent ideas. So helpful and useful!!
I use almost all of these supplies and absolutely love them! My favorites are the snack and sandwich containers. I have found that a pack of markers fits nicely in the sandwich containers. I also like that the clasps are very easy for the students to snap. Thanks for an awesome video!
Thanks, Michelle. I am from Venezuela and I love all your tips because we can organize the materials in my office, in the classroom, and on my computer. I am an online teacher.
I have everything you mentioned except the clipboard organizer and the sandwich containers. I agree all are absolutely essential. I selfishly miss your in-the-classroom teaching videos but I’m glad you’re doing what feels right to you. 💕
I absolutely agree with ALL of these! Considering I’ve been teaching for 13 years now, I have accumulated a lot of these but I will definitely be updating my reading area with better book bins next year. Those chapter book bins are AMAZING!
Thank you for these great tips. I’m not a teacher, I’m a home schooling mom (in the UK), but I love your tips for organising educational materials for my childerbeasts (I have a herd of five, so I do have to have things in bulk).
I found a steal on book bins! My Walmart had all school supply stuff on clearance recently. I went in for groceries and left with 10 white and clear bins for 25 cents each!!!!
This is one of my FAVORITE VIDEOS ever!! I LOVE ❤️ organizing everything! I use a lot of these products. Thank you 😊 for sharing your ideas 💡 with all of us.
I used the large Sterilite clip boxes to store my book sets for lit circles. Six novels/chapter books plus any related papers fit very nicely and they stack easily.
I loved this video!! I would also be interested in your next 10 choices in organizational tools especially since you struggled to only pick 10. Thanks Michelle!!
I love these ideas and I am gradually incorporating these ideas, as I have watched you for several years. I always love your positivity and great personality. Thanks first always having the answers I need. I started my year as a long-term sub, and am getting to the point I can gradually get things first what is now MY classroom. I told mom that the one thing I would wish for was to have you and Bridget come work with me for some sessions, to help me find my best work flow and organization. I teach STEM in a middle school in NC, and believe me, I inherited all kinds if good and oh not so good thibfs in closets, drawers, etc. Your jaws would drop at some of the things I have had to get rid of....luckily was able to get by with no hazmat suit, but it was close....lol!! It would also be so cool if you and B could do a podcast about "inheriting" a classroom, and the funny and not so funny things folks had to deal with as they cleaned....it could be comedy GOLD!!!!
Thank you so much for watching and for your support Bonnie! 🖤 It is greatly appreciated and I'm so happy to hear that you've been able to use my ideas! I can completely understand how the hazmat suit would be hard to part with LOL! I'll definitely add that to our list! Thanks so much!
I just want to say thanks for all of your videos. I am currently working at a Church doing 6th - 12th grade Youth Ministry. But lately your vides have inspired me to try to become a 4th - 5th grade Teacher. I am looking to apply to a Post Baccalaureate teacher Certification Program!
I think our brain works the same in this area! I would have chosen the exact same items. I also use the sandwich bins to store puzzles, numbering each puzzle first. BTW- super glue the little bar in the bin. It works! Thanks for the great video.
Yesss! They are great for puzzles (so long as they puzzles aren't too big). Also, why did I never think of super gluing the bars on the magazine bins?! LOL! Genius!
Love these organizational favorites! My personal favorites are the large Sterlite drawers you used at each table group! They are so versatile. I use them at home for home organization! I need to get my hand on snack containers since I have so many decks of cards!
I so miss being organized. I personally loved having a set of three Sterilite units that had 4 narrow drawers and then the 3 large drawers underneath. Our district made us take everything home at the end of last year. We were allowed to bring back one rainbow cart and that's it. The rest sits in a storage unit feeling sad. Here is the positive though-My daughter did have fun swiping some of it for her new classroom.
Love this video! 💜 This is my first year teaching and I have re-organized parts of my classroom so many times this year. I have always loved organizing and like everything to look perfect, because I can focus better in a clean space. I just bought more bins and I’m excited to organize even more this week!
Sterlite stuff is my favorite! I'm a huge fan of the clip boxes. In addition to my edtech coach position, I also do communications for my church and shoot lots of videos. Those medium bins are great for camera and mic supplies to store and organize easily.
I'm with you! Sterilite bins in general are such high quality... definitely my favorite! Yesss... they are perfect for camera and audio supplies! I'm so happy you love them too! Thanks for watching!
I don’t know how I missed this video and am just watching now! I have everything except for #9 & #10! Thinking about getting the rainbow drawers for this year because like you said, the ones on wheels are frustrating me! Not only do they fall often, but this year, I had students taking off the round handles/pulls and losing them! 😏
Thanks for the suggestion Nadia! I actually have a video all about classroom library organization! You can check it out here: ruclips.net/video/1njC1XsBq8w/видео.html
You're the best! I am frustrated that the "teacher toolbox" changed though and only has 6 larger drawers now instead of 8. Thank you for all the work you put into these helpful videos as always!
I love all your organization! I’ve used almost everything you mentioned in your video! Clipboard organizers are by far the best! So easy! I wanted to know if you’d be open to share some ideas for small group mini lessons (reading/math)? I feel that it’s my biggest struggle to stay organized with planning, prepping, etc. Thanks in advance ♥️ you’re awesome!
Hello dear teacher, I join you from Algeria. Thank you for sharing these awesome materials which inspired me to be creative as always. Unfortunately i can't find the Supply Caddies for my teams since I use colours to devide them. I enjoyed watching your video.
I need to get to some better stocked Big Lots...ours never seems to have this sort of thing. I do like Ollie's, as I can sometimes luck onto things at great prices, but as they are more of an overstock place, I have to keep going back and hoping....but it is like a really fun scavenger hunt...
I love all kinds of organization stuff, it's a pity they cost a lot. But slowly, but steady I am getting those one by one and storing things. Love the seethrrough containers the most, I hate digging in them )))
I love your toolbox labels but do not have PowerPoint due to our district moving everything over to the Google suite. Would you consider making an option with Google Slides?
Love love love!! I got the teacher toolbox idea from you years ago! You showed the one with the math manipulatives, what do you store in them (I couldn't see the bottom ones clearly lol)? It's an idea I haven't thought of for small group, love it!
Hi Michelle love your videos 🥰 I want to ask you something could you prepare a video on class room management What should we do if students eat in class inspite of reminders What should we do when students back answer in class Regards to high school Thanks Love from India
Thank you so much for narrowing down your favorites!!! Perfect timing as Spring Cleaning is in full effect! Just wondering on the tall black “magazine storage” box - do you think that the annoying stick pieces that keeps coming off can be used to hold file folders with little side wire hangers?? Usually goes inside a filing cabinet or side of desk drawer. That’s what came to mind when I was watching lol.
Michelle, have you ever considered being an instructional coach? My district has people who literally are just there to be resources for other teachers.
Hey Michelle! I have been loving your videos and I am so proud of you. Keep up the good work. I am just making a nice suggestion if you could make more day in the life or personal vlogs. I would absolutely love if you could reply to my comment. Love your new background it is amazing!
I use most of the ideas, even in my preschool classroom. I think, however, I will be changing up some of the containers or upsizing when we go back to normal class size-we have 10 students (COVID) now and are slowly working back up to 17.
Yes... you definitely have to adapt as things change including class size! I'm happy you're able to make the organizational systems work for you! Thanks for watching Kelley!
Hi Michelle, thanks a lot for all your help and your work. It's amazing! I love your STERILITE CLIP BOXES labels, and I was checking your TPT store but couldn't find them. Would you mind to tell me where they are? I hope you are able to reply to this comment soon 😉
As a room parent for several years, I've seen multiple classrooms. Your organization is the best, bar none. However, you spelled highlighters incorrectly on your Teacher's Toolbox. FYI, I am OCD about organization in my home. In my basement I have three small Sterilite bins with five drawers each. They're labeled AAA batteries, AA batteries, other batteries, carabiners, clamps, etc. Two large three-drawer Sterilite bins have painter's stuff, glues, etc. I got several large drawer bins from the dump for the garage for beach toys, my husband's toys, etc. I am in love with that brand!
Hi Regina! It obviously depends on the size of the flashcards but you could try photo boxes like these! amzn.to/3sXg8FQ You can also find them individually at Michaels!
My biggest issue is knowing what to put in containers and how many to buy. I get a vision and then put it together, it just never seems to work out or takes to long for me to categorize everything. I wish I knew how to do that. Great ideas though.
Hi. Love love your videos, I’ve been teaching for only 2 years and everything you mentioned I plan on using next school year. I noticed your teacher toolbox has 2 large drawer in the bottom middle of the toolbox I love that one but I can’t find the same one. Did you just remove the small and large ones
Hi Benise! Thank you so much for watching! 🖤 I didn't remove or change any drawers... this is the way it was designed when I bought it but it's possible that they changed the layout in the years since. Hopefully that helps!
Hi Michelle!! I use all of these things too they are amazing! I'm going to replace some things with your kinks and suggestions actually. One question...do you have any suggestions or advice for organizing games for recess...board games like guess who and battle ship that my kids love to play?
The rainbow drawers are one of my favorites for sure! Thankfully I got mine on sale half price. Unfortunately, they are now “everyday price” labeled so no more sale prices or coupons. I’m not sure if that is also the case in the States too? Great list Michelle!

omg i was just this old learning this!
