Clipper is just an oversized Medium ship that needs a Large landing pad. It's boost is pretty bad compared to it's top speed and especially acceleration, but once you get up there, you can stay there and outrun or keep up with just about anything short of the most manoeuvrable ships in the game, assuming you are a good pilot.
As for that 620m/s speed? 6A Thrusters with G5 Dirty Drives + Drag Drives.

Why no shields build, I've seen a lot of peeps ditching shields but I don't understand why

@@TarnaBarTMhe seems to use a lot of heatsinks and hull packages to absorb a lot of heat from his lasers, which means if he did have a shield it would've had too little amount of energy to make it worth the power/heat cost. Also Clipper's shield is pretty shit unless it has maxed resistances and boosted with guardian shield reinforcement packages.
