I love all there are so many criminals running around with bounties but all criminal activities don't even make you as much money as one passenger mission.
I have a MAXED OUT pirate conda and a normal hour of gameplay makes me an avg of 192k. I have almost made 100m in black market sales and its my primary activity. I have only done about 100/1500 hours of other activities. That means 1400 hours made me less money then 100 hours of hauling and passenger missions. I feel like every other activity in game has a lower risk and higher reward.
I couldn't agree more - when I'm not making videos 90% of my play time is PvP piracy, I don't make money at all, in fact I lose it, but I do it for the interaction and gameplay. See my Cobra vs. Cutter video and you'll understand.
It really is bizarre isn't it? Personally I think this is further proof Frontier stopped playing Elite long ago. I'd bet not a single employee plays more than 10 hours a week in a personal not-at-work account, ever. We live with it, they don't
i love fighting. this often means i have 5+ fines on me, and a pretty hefty bounty, but i fight in a fer-de--lance, and for me it really isnt that hard to replace
Good guide Cmdr! Have you ever encountered any engineering materials in the megaships? I've read somewhere that they are supposed to have some, but all the ones I've checked only had useless cargo.
Guaranteed MEF every time. Definitely worth it just for the hack. You can run in silent while you hack and avoid the bounty as well. Hop into super cruise and repeat.
I don't understand people complaining about how poorly this pays. Seems that's kind of the point. They aren't trying to reward people for being bad people. Not every job should pay the same. Does this effect the BGS in any way? Can it be used to hurt a faction? Or is it just a way to get some materials?
They should definitely make stuff like this more rewarding. Also, I got to say. Finding those thargoid Probes has now become such a pain in the ass Many players won't proceed or press on to actually get an opportunity to see the star maps and some of the other things in game. I haven't given up yet. But damn I'm close. XD
@@Exigeous Hey man. Hope everything's good. Yeah, I look through your videos. And I only seen the videos on sensors. Could not find any videos on probes. I found a lot of sensors, but no probes. I've looked for probes for almost 4 days now, and it's really starting to suck, LOL.
SHIT - sorry, you're right I was thinking about sensors, not probes. D'oh! As yeah, that's the whole reason I haven't done a video on how to activate the Thargoid machine as finding probes is just WAY too fucking hard. Sorry I got mixed up.
Can anyone tell me what the point of hacking the fighter bay of a Megaship is?.. I've tried it several times, but I can only see the hatch closing temporarily.. At first I thought the megaship might have the ability to launch fighters for defense and that closing the hatch might be the way to disable them.. But they open back up within 90 seconds, that's hardly enough time to even get to the second one let alone loot the whole thing..
what else is funny, the new Operations limpet controller has Recon, Collector, and Hatch Breaker rolled in one, but the hatch breakers are a terrible 22s hack.
Don't pay off your bounties then? Cause what type of pirate would? Merely speaking from a logical standpoint. Have only recently begun playing ED though, so still a newb and not familiar with all the game mechanics lol.
What I don't get about this is if the reward is effectively non existent, why is this a part of the game? I mean, it's cool as hell, but if you're getting peanuts from the black market (moreso after fines) what's the point? It seems like FDev really is keen on having players do the things they want you to as opposed to having fun and not feeling like you just wasted your time. One could make the argument of journey vs. destination, but seeing as how there is no input from the get go as to what you could/should do it's kinda petty to penalize players who really are exploring all they have to do.
Well all I can say is don't necessarily equate fun with credits - there are tons of really fun things to do that don't pay shit (or in the case of PvP combat and piracy COST money). That said this SHOULD pay and it's a real shame it doesn't. The lack of balance in the game has been an issue for years and likely won't change any time soon.
CMDR Exigeous I do try not to play with credits motivating me, but when I keep ending up in a loop of never having more than 5 mil at a time, feels like I'm in a negative feedback loop.
It really is absurd - and sadly it's been like this since beta, my guess is they won't change anything with it anytime soon. There are so many other huge priorities anyway like the completely broken C&P and the massive amount of bugs that just get more so with each release.
They simply needed to put expensive shit in the cargo holds... JUST THAT. what the hell Fdev do you want your game to be mocked?? For real I simply don't understand this is baffling.
Rob a mega ship; you get fined.
Loitering inside a station, *PUNISHABLE BY DEATH*
BECAUSE LEAVE THE GOD DAMN PAD !!! lol
Landing pads are their holy ground.
I love all there are so many criminals running around with bounties but all criminal activities don't even make you as much money as one passenger mission.
Not even close, I got 32,000 worth of cargo and had 21,000 in bounties and fines!! It was fun but absolutely Beyond:Absurd.

@@wakkosick6525 well now you can pirate LTDs for 1-200mil an hour!
I guess this proves that "puts on sunglasses" crime doesnt pay.
I would love to see much better money income by piracy. Some that high risk with no enough payout. Anyway good vid :D

CMDR Exigeous i will watch it :D
I still love how this is eve a thing you can do.
how is it that you can balance the rewards of an activity so poorly it possible to loose money for doing it correctly, and flawlessly at that?
It really is bizarre isn't it? Personally I think this is further proof Frontier stopped playing Elite long ago. I'd bet not a single employee plays more than 10 hours a week in a personal not-at-work account, ever. We live with it, they don't
Mega ships can be looted if you are in a mission from a faction, look those missions that say "disable megaship turrets " after done, well loot it.
i love fighting. this often means i have 5+ fines on me, and a pretty hefty bounty, but i fight in a fer-de--lance, and for me it really isnt that hard to replace
Good guide Cmdr! Have you ever encountered any engineering materials in the megaships? I've read somewhere that they are supposed to have some, but all the ones I've checked only had useless cargo.
I know about the data, I had the impression they were supposed to drop mats form cargo racks. Shame about the profits though.
So far honestly I haven't seen materials but I'll admit I did it just long enough to create the guide - there are far better ways to get materials!
Guaranteed MEF every time. Definitely worth it just for the hack. You can run in silent while you hack and avoid the bounty as well. Hop into super cruise and repeat.
I didn't even know you could do eny of this.
I just avoided them when I saw them.
You tubes messed up I searched how to help megaships a little bit more scrolling and it actually gives sm to help them
Haven't engaged in this activity myself, but, I thought there was a point on the ship that disabled the reporting of the crime.

Well probes are actually really easy, see the guide I just published about a week ago. I agree 100% that this should be much more rewarding.

Try looking for liberation/disable megaship missions from pirate factions at starports, they're not *as* rewarding but still worthwhile to knock out.
Cmdr exigeous, this will now come into powerplay
I have looted the same ship 3 times for a mission, yet, the mission won't register as finished. Why is that?
Looks fun. It's not for me... yet. Still learning. But at least I learned how scanning, sub targets, and certain limpets work. Thanks

Nice iv not done one of these yet saved for later
They're fun for role playing but that's about it.
Good video!
3:35 ... So in other words you ended up waiting longer? Manually scooping is slower no matter how you look at it. Why would you think otherwise?
I know this video is a few months old now but do you not get grade 5 data from the arrays anymore?
As far as I know yes, you do. Not nearly as quickly as you do at the Jameson crash site.
3.3 broker it cargo Don't ejected 😞 it just stick to the ship
Still broken as of April 2021!
how it is possible, that you have visible Heat Sink on your HUD, without proper Fire Group set to active ?
Heat sinks always show on your HUD - I have them bound to an independent button rather than a fire group.
CMDR Exigeous thanks, that this is a BUG on my side
Thank you
I did in a cutter got stuck in the maintenance tunnel with a turret pointed at my face 😂
I mean really, just stuff Core minerals like Alexandrite in those cargo holds and you'd have serious "employment".
what else is funny, the new Operations limpet controller has Recon, Collector, and Hatch Breaker rolled in one, but the hatch breakers are a terrible 22s hack.
as always in elite.. many balancing issues

good video my friend, its not for me, too risky to lose ship, or i can do same thing anarchy system pirating large ship`s, less risky 🤣🤣🤣🤣😁😁👍👍👍👍🙋

Not remotely balanced too much risk reap reward and fines, frontier need to jump on this asap.
It really is absurd - and sadly it's been like this since beta, my guess is they won't change anything with it anytime soon. There are so many other huge priorities anyway like the completely broken C&P and the massive amount of bugs that just get more so with each release.
The only real reward is the beating the challenge shame.
Yeah, it's pretty fun - and until the Jameson crash beacons it was a great way to farm but just not as efficient now.
They simply needed to put expensive shit in the cargo holds... JUST THAT. what the hell Fdev do you want your game to be mocked?? For real I simply don't understand this is baffling.
