wonderful lunacy! I love the way there is no central reservation despite the enormous speeds. The autobahn is very much the exception to the notion of German conservativism and order!

if i didn t mistake the older 760 e66 eats aprox. 25-30L/100km but this shows 23L... it is a little improvement at the consumption but let s remember that is a v12 and for me that engine is a work of art

Mein kleiner 2l Motor frisst, wenn ich mir mühe gebe, etwa 8-9l, wenn ich mal was schneller fahre wird es auch gerne mal was mehr. Also da muss man echt sagen: Respekt an BMW, der Verbrauch ist, meiner Ansicht nach, mehr als in Ordnung!

Sehr appetitlich gemachtes Video. Der 760i F01 ist wirklich ein Tempomacher sondersgleichen. Hubraum UND Turbolader. Auffällig dezenter Klang allerdings, ein 520i E39 oder E60 (mit R6) klingt praktisch genauso. Schön!
+Erik Hertog I drove almost every BMW because I work at a dealership. I think that the 530 is an excellent car for daily use because it's quick and it doesn't consume. Trust me, you're better off if you look to the maintenance costs... Man those V12 parts are expensive.
Yes I agree with you ' I'm Sad because i sold it but it was an amazing car and it was a little bit expensive the mantaince but it's a premium car, I´m going to look in a future for a M5

thats great acceleration , you should take off the speed limiter , this thing should go all the way to 280...I only wonder why bmw never puts a descent speedo since this is the V12 , the speedo to at least 280...

@Alfisto88 Vielen Dank für das Kompliment. Wir leben in einem Land mit Rechtsfahrgebot, daher fahre ich selbst bei Tempo 300 km/h auf der rechten Spur, wenn es mir die Sichtweite und der Verkehr erlaubt. Den Momentanverbrauch kann ich leider nicht beziffern, er liegt jedoch sicher bei 40l/100km+

I seriously doubt that this car uses 20L/100 km at full speed. I would say 40-50 L. A passat 140 hp diesel uses 13.5 at 220 km/h and the average use is less than 5L. The average use of this 760 is 13-14L.
Christian Haugaard You're wrong. This is all about efficiency. A V12 becomes more efficient at that speed. In theory, an engine is at its most efficient at around 70% load. 760 uses a lot at low speed because it was at 10-25% load all the time. 140hp Passat is at 100% load at 220 km/h, so the efficiency is extremely low. I recently drove a 140hp petrol rental car at 200 km/h (maximum speed), and it showed almost 20L as well. The car used over a minute to accelerate from 130 to 200.
At least the car hasn't Decayed. I have a 1991 520iA E34 and it has. 110 kW and takes 15-20 liters per 100km at winter... Top speed here is 120km/h at summer.

We need an autobahn here in America. These 65mph speed limits here are shit. The German Autobahn, the last refuge of the speed freak. If you remove the limiter, it should reach at least 188-190mph. S65 Merc may be faster, but I prefer the 760.
bei 5:01 is das auch wieder einer von den leuten die ohne zu gucken links rüber fahren. mir is das auch einmal nachts passiert, da hatte ich aber sogar mehr als 260 drauf gehabt. da durfte ich auch den anker werfen und das war so knapp das ich schon nich mehr sein nummernschild lesen konnte. dann regen die sich auch noch auf, das is das aller beste! :D

I use my 530 daily and that is a beast as well but now i see this. Man i'm missing out on stuff... hahaha
530 is amazing also my daily ride its good to me it also have power never like this but it had

well it's electronically limited, but if you lift off the limiter it won't go anywhere beyond 270-275, unless you tune it, like alpina B7

I think top gear said this could do 188mph unlimited. From the video, it took 22 sec to get to 150 mph, 9 sec to 100mph :)

goddesseddog My 2007 330xd with 231HP is happy with 10L Diesel at 200. But at 240 GPS it takes 17-18L with cruise control and this is top speed.
