American Friends in Büren a.A. (Switzerland): New Cut Road

Helt Oncale, John McCullough and Stephen Ferron perform occasionally as American Friends. Coming from Louisiana, Texas, and Colorado respectively and living in Europe (Helt and John in Germany; Stephen in Switzerland). They performed songs from their “songs from the living room” repertoire at the Atelier Stadtgraben, Büren a.A., Switzerland in March of 2023.
John, who sings this lively interpretation of a much loved Guy Clark song, “New Cut Road”, says that he loves singing long songs with no choruses, particularly those penned by the great songwriters from the Texas Gulf Coast where he grew up. Things heat up when Helt switches to fiddle for the second half of the song.

John, der diese lebhafte Interpretation des beliebten Guy-Clark-Songs „New Cut Road“ singt, sagt, dass er gerne lange Lieder ohne Refrain singt, insbesondere solche, die von den großen Songwritern der texanischen Golfküste stammen, wo er aufgewachsen ist.
