What is interesting about dain's anime outfit is the inside of his cape. Thus far paimon and the sustainer of heavenly principles are the ones we have seen which star fields on the inside of the outfit-capes but for them theirs move whereas dain's is static, like a similar affiliation but without their special power. Perhaps dain is a homunculus-cyborg(right side) created by the twin. Perhaps the twin we saw in a CS on that cliff was a puppet body and the real-main body is trapped somewhere in something.

I have this theory that we as players are going to get to the end of the story, and that your sibling is going to be the final boss. Now that we've seen Dain and gotten all of this information, I believe he'll be on our side, trying to help stop Lumine/Aether in the end. But this is just my crazy brain being constant riddle with thought and theories of this game even when I sleep

yes. its probably clear that probably paimon and dansleif are the same species/related. They are travelling companions with someone. Their capes are pretty similar with those stars at the end. Their clothes dont seem like they come from any citizen/normal person too.
Not only that. This quest is linked to "We will be Reunited" teaser on GI's channel. This quest's ending is linked to that video. Also, the "Teyvat Chapter Storyline Preview: Travail" features Dainsleaf as the narrator along with the fact that he is the narrator for much of the character gameplay. I was caught off guard when he suddenly popped into this quest.

Also, Dain's reactions to the answers of the three questions are different based on what you choose, in my playthrough he said something along the lines of "You're similar to him", instead of "It seems that you're different from her/him"

Yeah, I reeeeally don't like that foreshadowing. It's Mihoyo we are talking about, something real tragic is going to happen at the end, I'm sure of it.
I have this theory that we as players are going to get to the end of the story, and that your sibling is going to be the final boss. Now that we've seen Dain and gotten all of this information, I believe he'll be on our side, trying to help stop Lumine/Aether in the end. But this is just my crazy brain being constant riddle with thought and theories of this game even when I sleep

I got the similar one with my choices being: 1, It was me. 2. The Liyue Qixing and 3. Perhaps none of them do.
All the voices in Genshin are on point. They aren’t bland or boring and never too energetic unless they’re supposed to. This game never ceases to impress.

when the traveler and his/her sibling visited teyvat for the first time it was hinted that they were both asleep and that his/her sibling were the one to wake up first bcs his/her sibling said that he/her already traveled teyvat once before having to wake up his/her sibling bcs the war and destruction of khaenri'ah made teyvat an unsafe place for them so they had to move to another world, but when they were abt to leave they were blocked by the unknown god which is the figure that we see on the first cutscene upon playing the game, and so they were thrown back into teyvat but when the traveler arrived back at the current teyvat, 500 years already passed, after that the traveler wandered around for months before fishing out paimon out of a lake and the game's story begin
So yea i think basically when the siblings left teyvat it was when mondstadt were still "old mondstadt" but when they got thrown back to teyvat it was already the era of "new mondstadt"

But The companion can ONLY be the lost twin If Dainslief literally changes the gender depending on your choice of traveller so It certainly proves it
