Serena, after listening to all your heartbreaking journey throughout childhood plus your last statement, it becomes so clear that, no matter how much abused and manipulated you were in that profoundly toxic and evil environment, you always had a strength inside you that was only yours that helped you to survive, stay sane, stay strong, and overcome those countless challenges. You survived because you have an essence so strong, wise, intelligent, unshakable, that even those horrors and delusions from others could not shape you, could not break you. The fact that you have so much empathy, so much grace, so much love to give to help others, so much understanding make of you an unique being, your own universe, your own fingerprint in the world. It is so touching to see you this outstanding woman and human being with a conviction in your voice, an inner fortress, a person who overcame terrible adversities and is pure illumination. You surely inspire tons of people to be resilient like you. What an extraordinary legacy yours. Part of your life was all of that, but you prove that you have nothing to do with wherever or whoever hurt you. You are absolutely above all that madness. I truly hope, each day that passes, you find more peace within, and pride of yourself. You remind me of another remarkable woman named Maude Julien who wrote a book named "The Only Girl in the World". Just like you she endured awful things throughout her childhood with her father and, in spite of all of that, she grew up a kind, gentle, empathetic human being. If you have the opportunity to read her book, she talks about how she was able to get help and work on herself to heal her wounds which, like yours, were so deep. Thank you for sharing your story with all of us! It was a privilege, a honor to listen to you. My very best wishes for a formidable life to you. I hope you succeed in each and every choice you make. Your life now is yours. You deserve all the love, respect, happiness, and peace in the world! I wish you clarity. Thank you!

Thank you for sharing your story! Wow! I had a lot of messed up people in my life but not everyone. You had everyone in your circle as a predator. I rejoice with you that you escaped!
I was raised similarly under completely different circumstances. I have hearing better than a dog because I developed the art of listening. I had to know what was going on in my surroundings because walking in at the wrong time could get me in a world of trouble. I had to avoid my step father as much as possible but I was his focus.
Abused by several but none were connected. My step father was assistant police chief in Seminole Oklahoma in the 70’s.
It messes you up for life. That’s why the government doesn’t care. A damaged society is an easier manipulated society. I say this as often as possible because if we recognize the governments reason for all of the messed up things they do from making laws that make vulnerable children MORE vulnerable to CPS and their gross mismanagement of children at risk we can better change the system. I’m California where they REALLY don’t care.
The lengths the Children of God went to hide the children! How many houses did they do this sort of thing to and who has those houses now?
My mom’s family were all high ranking Freemasons so they are the sicko’s in society shaking your hand with no conscience of the evil they’re involved in to get there. They don’t all hurt kids or sacrifice someone unless they are high ranking but they take the oaths and it’s evil. I didn’t even realize the depth my family was in and they use to boast of it until their evil deeds were exposed. They don’t boast anymore. Not that I talk to them.
I am truly thankful you escaped and can live a productive life. It’s not easy. Praying for you in Jesus name. ❤

60s, 70s and even 80s America was bamboozled out of its mind, the effects of which are felt to this day; I’d say it had almost taken hold of the culture as a whole if it weren’t for the latest return to sanity. Take me back to the 50s by all means!

The 50s weren’t much better, don’t forget about Jonestown. I think at any point in human history we will find horrendous cults.

@@AlluringRat-w8oThe Jonestown tragedy took place in the 70's.. but yes, plenty of sick and twisted stuff happened in the '50's as well

Plenty of bad things were happening in the 1950s, and earlier decades. Members of my family grew up poor and experienced and witnessed some unfortunate things. You weren't allowed to talk about abuse. That's why it seems better, emphasis on seems.

I know, I know; I was just making a point and most of the Indian-guru following, ‘free love’ kind of stupidity started in the 60s, inarguably, right? Otherwise all kinds of madness has happened in tiny corners in hiding throughout history, I would say but the 60s for the West and maybe post WWII have been societal madness. I’ve already been noticing, for instance, how almost all the serial predators and extreme abusers in Europe and the US were almost all born during or immediately after the war…

The 50s were NOT better. Where do you think these cult leaders in the 70s and 80s come from? They came from the absolute dysfunction of the 50s. I would say the whole culture back then was a type of cult. Everything was about appearances, and keeping secrets. SA was not only ignored, but a shameful secret that many families let keep happening, because they refused to deal with it. The woman doing the interview even said this “grandpa” character was abused as a child. Nobody should ever want to go back to the 50s. It was not a golden era.

How do these horrible people get away with these crimes, its beyond me. I'm terrible sorry for having to go through this, no child should have to endure. OK, there might have been some idiots sponsoring this "enterprise" but how was it at possible to fund it worldwide, is the second thing that is beyond me????

They sold generic Christian merch like homemade videos with Christian music and kids dancing/singing on top of sending the kids out to pan handle and sing for money.

@CultstoConsciousness it's a huge operation, I'm not downplaying the volume of money can be gathered by merchandise, or videos, I have strong doubts about the audience it can reach. Why didn't I become an actor or a singer. Probably because I can't act or sing one might think! That'll be right ✅️
I'm so glad that Serena is so articulate, of course she's done an amazing work within herself.

I am very sorry that anyone had to go through that no child, especially under the age of 13 and 14 should have to do those kind of things. It is disgusting how people are so easily brainwashed and fear this takes over peoples lives. Your mom and as well as the rest of the adults are the most disgusting humans on the planet and they should be ashamed of themselves. God does not love that kind of abuse.

42:48 With the "Life With Grandpa" show that Nick Crowley uploaded a RUclips video about, I'm surprised that they did quarantine; especially since Bird thinks it's appropriate to clean a bleeding wound with just one's own spit.

The male perspective on abuse is true my bf was abused by his older sisters friend when he was 10 and she was 18 he still has trouble thinking that was abuse because he said he liked it but his sister when she found out she beat her 🍑
