great video. when you tucked down on the video, that looks really low, can you still see from the brow (upper) part of the helmet? on my HJC rpha 10, i feel because it more of an oval shaped shell, the brow vision is a bit limiting. not as a bad as a gp tech, but still noticeable in a full tuck
You'll definitely see part of the top brow lining in a full tuck, I think the RPHA10+ will have a better view in full tuck / less brow obstruction, also this helmet is a bit heavy and will probably be less comfortable in full tuck position for long period.

Do you (or does anyone) know where we can get the extra spoiler bit that you have on your SV (the black spoiler) from? It doesn't come as standard, and I have checked everywhere for AGV K3-SV spoilers, I can't find any.
The spoiler came with the helmet, I think your helmet, or the one you are looking at could be the AGV Horizon or Stealth SV, that model doesn't have the spoiler like the K3 SV. I'm not too sure either, perhaps drop AGV an e-mail with your inquiry.
my head size is 58cm. i bought ls2 size medium. but its snugfit. then i bought large it fit me well. i had agv k3sv medium size and arai medium size. do you think what size am i in hjc cs-15? im planning to buy on line thats why im confuse. thanks for the answer
It's not easy to recommend because your head shape apart from the sizing also needs to be taken into account. For example, AGV helmets I should be wearing "S" according to sizing, and yes I can wear the "S", but after 15 mins, I feel pressure points and cannot wear it longer, so I have to resort to "M". If you can go to any shop to test/try, that is the best option.
The K3 SV copies some of the design off the GP Tech, and the higher end helmet is the GP Tech. I think the GP Tech would be my choice, as I don't really need a sun visor.
The one sold in America or Revzilla have the D.O.T approved safety tag on the back... This one doesnt. Why? Is it fake? Or does Asia not use safety certifications for these built in China/Indonesia?
DOT/SNELL are US standards, helmets sold in US have to be rated according to those. Helmets sold in EU or Asia do not need DOT/SNELL, they have different safety ratings according to different countries.

I believe our region should be Asia, I'm not sure. I've also not seen the Turtle design for the K3 SV over here. The shop which sells the helmet doesn't have online store, buy you can check out Mudah.my and have a look. I don't see the point of ordering the helmet from Asia to be shipped to North America. The shipping cost would be very costly, not to mention any customs and tax. For all that additional you might be able to buy a higher range AGV helmet locally in your location.

If helmet weight concerns you, then probably the K3, but with that being said, the K3 isn't really lightweight either. I would go with the K3 SV, nicer design, able to change visor to tinted, can remove the sun visor if not needed. I never tested the helmet on the road, so I can't say about the aerodynamics but it should be better, I think.
Hi, have you tried comparing an European k3-sv to an Asian Fit k3-sv, do they have different shell sizes even if they have the same size? Because I read somewhere that the European version has a smaller shell.
I tried the Asian and EU sizes for the AGV Pista, and I think I prefer the EU sizing. I tried the Asian M and EU SM, the EU one felt like a better fit.
On the k3-svs friends also told me they also felt the same with the EUs. Maybe I'll be getting the EU then, sad though they don't have spoiler :( Thank You Sir. Have safe rides.
You can check and see if the padding fitment points are the same, if they are you can always get the EU pads for the Asian model, just a suggestion, not sure if that will work. #RSSR!

Unfortunately I do not own or tried the Arai, so I can't comment on the head shape, but AGV head shape is generally a bit different than other brands, best if you test out the helmet before purchase, or get it from a shop that allows return/exchange for different size.
The Benelli brand has been bought over by China company, I've not had a lot of experience with that bike, but I've heard of some feedback that it has reliability/parts issue.. Most would give caution if considering buying this bike, some claim that most of the parts are made in China now, no longer fully Italian.
My friend bought it for MYR 850. Compared to the K3, the SV is a bit heavier but other than that everything else looks good. I would say it's a value buy if you are looking for a sporty looking helmet that has pin-lock post for anti-fog shield, with an internal visor.

Different helmets have different sizing/internal shape, there is no "standard size", that's why you should refer to the sizing chart and also head shape, the best way is to try before purchase.

I have not had full use of the K3 SV helmet, but both the helmets you mention are or somewhat different categories. RPHA10+ is the premium model and having premium price, while the K3 SV is entry model with sun visor.. If you would like to save money can get the K3 SV first and then consider another higher end helmet later in the future if you need one.
Maybe due to my head shape, AGV is the only one I have to wear M size, I can wear S size but after 20 minutes I start to feel the pressure. All my other helmets are S size, including the HJC.
For the normal K3 (not SV), wind noise is not too bad (I don't use chin curtain), however I do feel some head-shaking at higher speeds by the wind. Could be the size is slightly big for me (I'm suppose to be S size but internal shape of the helmet doesn't allow me to wear S for long, so I'm wearing M which is just a pinch loose feeling to me). If you are concerned about wind noise, wearing ear plugs will definitely help.

The ones on the market are probably either Indonesia or China made under license, if you want more peace of mind you can go to LSH Racing in Solaris Mont Kiara and get yours there. You can look them up on Facebook.
To be honest, I don't know how authentic are they. It comes in the box, has all the AGV manual and all that. Probably made under license, maybe source from their factory in Indonesia or China. Looks nicer than the ones in the US market though, especially the rear spoiler piece.

No, the K3 and K3 SV have different visors. I think the K3 SV visor is similar to the AGV Skyline one.

Sorry I cannot say for sure about that. The best is still to try the helmet on yourself to be sure.

I don't know about that, maybe AGV has licensed factories over there. I know they have factories in Indonesia. Not all AGV are made in Italy.

Yes, you can remove it in order to replace it.

Yes you can remove it, but it's just a small sun visor it won't make it any much lighter. So it's up to you. :)

I'm not sure about the shell sizing but usually XS/S/M will share the same shell with different thickness pads, and L/XL/XXL will be another shell.

How’s the wind noise on k3 sv?
For this one I actually didn't test it out as the size was not suitable for me, it was my friend's helmet.
wich one is quieter?
Being in the same category line I'd same they are the same. I didn't find the K3 being too noisy, there's always ear plugs.

I'm not sure, but it's good to invest in a good helmet brand no regrets for the comfort you get.

Are you certain it is K3 SV, or some other helmet but having the same graphic? I can see a few helmets now having AGV designs but not AGV.

The ones on the market are probably either Indonesia or China made under license, if you want more peace of mind you can go to LSH Racing in Solaris Mont Kiara and get yours there. You can look them up on Facebook.

Design wise the K3 SV looks sharper, it has the sun visor. If I had to choose I might go with the SV.
i thouthgt the K3sv didnt come with a spoiler, its the 1st time i've seen a spoiler on it..
It's a different look for the Asian market I believe.. It comes with the spoiler over here.

Are they fake?
To be honest, I don't know how authentic are they. It comes in the box, has all the AGV manual and all that. Probably made under license, maybe source from their factory in Indonesia or China. Looks nicer than the ones in the US market though, especially the rear spoiler piece.
