I’ve noted in past correspondence that I volunteer at a hospital as a chaplain. Kindness rides with me to that place, for on the rear bumper of my Volkswagen , I have a saying, “Kindness, Pay It Forward.” Do you know? Even if it encourages one person behind me in a busy city to pass Kindness forward, it has done its job during the trip. And also, even if my words to the patients, my listening to their woes and concerns assists them in the smallest ways, then the Paying Kindness Forward as proclaimed on the bumper, and the VW that has brought me there has done its job.
