Here, on this last day of 2024, I’m delighted to receive yet another Christmas gift, this story by the most beloved Louisa May Alcott. i’ve saved it to my Christmas folder to enjoy again next year and as many Christmases as this old lady has left. Thank you for this delightful story!

EXCELLENT! I have this in a little book. Alcott is one of my favorite authors, if not THE favorite. I grew up in Lexington, Mass. and went to a private school in Concord. Was always visiting Orchard House; even after I left Massachusetts as an adult, went back every Summer to Concord and Lexington. Best area to grow up!
