    This was one of my favorite stories growing up, and it was such a fun experience to reinterpret it through my own vision. I hope you enjoy watching as much as I loved creating it!
    Which character do you relate to the most? If you had to choose between a heart, courage or a brain which would you choose? Let me know below! Thanks for watching! ✨

    These are just theories and interpretations of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. L. Frank Baum himself admitted it was simply meant to be a story, "not" packed with hidden meanings but some coincidences are just too striking to ignore if you ask me.📖🔍

      You do know that there were books besides The wizard of Oz that is his last book was I think the tin Woodman of Oz and I think he wrote either 11 or 19 of the original series The publishers didn't like the idea that they were losing a Golden goose when he died so they got other people to go straight more stories because Frank l Baum always said he was merely the historian and since he was the royal historian he was just writing what the others had told him so when he died they decided to make a new Royal historian to write more novels, but nobody seems to know the ones that he wrote after The wizard of Oz you see the ones he wrote after The wizard of Oz tell more tales and fill in more details about Oz itself...

      Frank l Baum was asked many times if there was any hidden agenda in his works and he said he's only desire was to write a story that could be a modern fairytale to children of their time and the fact is people make a lot more out of it than it actually is much of what he wrote was about things of his own period of time for example the yellow brick road was the brick road that led to his private school that he went to and many of the other things that were based on experiences he himself had including the fact that people had a bad habit of not listening to children or believing in things that they said. But people read into it a lot more than what is actually there and that's mostly because of how it was portrayed in the movie.

    • @safiremorningstar
      @safiremorningstar 9 часов назад

      Except he knows he lost his heart but the whole time he doesn't realize it in the whole book he realizes that he's missing a heart but the whole time he has a heart he's afraid to step on any bugs or anything because he's afraid of hurting anyone and when you know about the history of the author himself you know exactly why he made the tin Woodman because he himself experienced the loss the worst thing is that he himself admits that he doesn't remember but then you find out in the tin Woodman of Oz wasn't that he didn't remember he didn't want to remember you see after he became made of 10 he went to seek his lady love out and she didn't want him because you see all his parts have been sewn back together and made into this chop chop guy and basically she liked him and the shock of her rejecting him is why he forgot who he was. Can you find it out the more you read the books you find out there are a lot of little itsy bitsy pieces that if you read all the books you get the whole picture but you have to read all the books and I don't mean all the books written by other authors you have to read the ones that Frank l Baum wrote himself and the last book he wrote was the tin Woodman of Oz.

    My senior year of high school (2003) I wrote a paper about this exact subject for extra credit in my history class, and I mainly touched on things like the tin man representing the working class, the lion representing William Jennings Bryan, and all that. I also remember writing something in there about Dorothy's silver slippers walking on the yellow brick road was also a representation of the fight over the gold standard and those who were pro-silver.

    In the original Baum book, the witch from the west skin was yellow, same with the winkies. Her castle was even yellow, not black, like in the 1939 movie. Also in the book, she wears no pointed hat or rides a broomstick. She carries around a umbrella with her. Perhaps to guard her against the weather elements like rain, which water melts her.

    Baum wrote Oz after seeing Vivakanda speak at the first world congress of religions. (1893 just after the fair) Though some of this is true to the time he lived in, it’s really about various yogas (paths)in Hinduism, Jhani, intelligence or wisdom, Bhakti, love or devotion, karma or work, and Raja, the royal path that includes all the others. There is a very good biography of Baum, he wasn’t such a failure. His newsletter was focused on retail display, and it was so much copied and ripped off his got lost in the crowd. He toured with his own play, and did quite well until they lost all their props and costumes to a tornado in Kansas.

    Yes, I talked to Michael Herne about L. Frank Baum. Herne wrote the Annotated Wizard of Oz. He mentioned to me that there are populist ideas in the stories Baum wrote, though not intently. I never thought William Jennings Bryan was inspiration for Cowardly Lion. I didn't catch that Matilda Gage was inspiration for Dorothy, though mostly it was his niece, Dorothy the main inspiration. When the 1939 movie first appeared on TV, I was about 4 years old or 5. I watched it at my grandparents' house. Dorothy's house looked quite a lot like my grandparents' house. They were a farming couple. Even the hay rake that Dorothy sang by was like the hay rake at my grandparents' place. My grandma had a picnic basket much like Dorothy had. So, I can relate to movie.

    Now, to tell the reality of what Wizard of Oz's as related to the 1913 takeover of the monetary system and the creation of the IRS. Everything to do with that is also voluntary and we all make the "choice" to continue to play that game, even tho you'll never be told in the public spheres that it is truly as such. This was a very good take on the "behind the scenes" of the original story.

    What Dorothy didn't ask, and should have asked, is "Have any of you (Munchkins) ever been to Oz?" Instead, she believed without questioning and even elaborated on what the Munchkins told her, making promises to the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Lion, that she had no way of guaranteeing that the Wizard would keep. I see this a lot, when people presume to advise others. The first thing I want to know, is have you been down the Yellow Brick Road? Have you ever walked this way? Have you met the Wizard? Or is your information second-, third- or even fourth-hand? Because I've found that on my own journeys down the Yellow Brick Road, the reality is very much different than what those who stayed behind and never took that trip; and the same with Dorothy. The Wizard of Oz is so many things to so many people. I see it as almost a Buddhist parable in that it stresses first-hand information. It critiques blind belief. You might even say it is subversive in its message about belief without evidence, without questioning. Dorothy is sent to Oz precisely because she is an outsider; there is little chance she is going to return to Munchkinland and destroy their illusion. Unfortunately for those who wished to manipulate her, the very fact she is an outsider works in her favor; she has her own agenda and is going to stick to it no matter what.
