- Episode 50!!! Here's a fluid and fast lick, I find it so relaxed. It starts as a Maj7 type of shape, but then it breaks away from it a bit. Hope you enjoy waxing this one!
Also my Tokai Strat finally finding some proper use here!
In the end of the video I talk a bit about it.
50th episode! I'm pretty amazed I've able to carry on this long. I started 2 years ago and there's has been some breaks but still!
Have you had a favouite lick / episode?
Beautiful sound.
Very musical and tasteful ! You know it's a good lick when played slow and still sound amazing. Awesome tone by the way!
Thank you!
Those random basic strats are such a backbone of a guitarist. I still got my first cheap squier strat that still serves as the first guitar to be picked up on the couch. And I was just reminiscing on the Mr. Fastfinger flash game or whatever it was. It blew my and everyone's mind back then, it was something never before seen and even imagined, it was so cool. And now it's like two decades ago, but here you are still, pushing out content weekly.
🖐😀 Yep, Strats are guitar players best friends! While I’m mainly playing my Ruokangas guitars in my studio, I try to cycle my other guitar in the living room. One at the time. I just brought in my Jem to tge house 😄 Next year it’ll be 20 years from tge beginning of Guirar Shred Show and Mr. Fastfinger. Can’t believe it!
@@MikaFastfinger do they give you new perspectives or inspirations when you cycle?
Great lick and nice guitar!
🖐😀
Great lick! never seen this sweep pattern before. I assume you can play this over B aeolian / B phrygian / B6
🖐 This is pretty much Gmaj7 with a little exception. Absolutely, works well over B aeolian/Phrygian too!
So, no more Ruokangas guitars?
What makes you think so?! My two green Ruokangas guitars are my main guitars and are designed to fulfilll all my needs. But at times it’s just refreshing to play the other guitars too. Different guitar sound different and inspire you various ways.
@@MikaFastfinger I guess I'm just way too used to seeing you play your Ruokangas :) Btw, it would be really cool if you did a video on your guitar collection and maybe a quick review and highlights of each instrument, you know.
@@xyema-mpa-ma-ma In general I’m very much a one guitar (at the time) kind of guy. tends to be the latest guitar that I play only. I like the idea of doing a video of all my guitars. I just left two of the bunch to Ruokangas for mainentance and uplifting. Once I got all back at home I need to do this. Thanks!
