17:30 - PoE is usually very specific in its wording. If you read the description of Primal Armament, it says "Supports attacks that use a weapon..." which is why it cannot support magma barrier, which uses your shield; whereas Elemental Focus description just says "Supports any skill that hits enemires...". That distinction is important in this case.
New to warrior, just made 1 last night and almost through act 1 so I may be way off the mark here. Resonating shield in place of raise shield is actually amazing with 1 very small downside. It can still parry with magma barrier and with a little bonus armor break to boot. It's just a little icing on the cake but very much not required. I think it may be worth your time to look into it a little further.
Wonder how Warbringer with all hits can be blocked even when shield isn't up interacts with Magma Barrier. Imagine making a build that just has magma barrier up all the time with armor explosion from every magma barrier burst. Charge in, explosions start, everything blocked.
Jus so yall aware resonate shield skill does the magma barrier as well as aoe 360 around you scaled off your sheild armor u add poison n corrosion to it n u melt everythings armor whilst magma blasting everything.
In the gameplay section, you forgot to mention that you can literally animation cancel with block like you do with dodge roll except it's almost instant. That's the way to play melee I feel like as you don't have windup now.
Great video, im a leap enjoyer but absolutely hate it when im being hit ij the air by fodder on the ground. Hope they change the hit box. You're making me want to try the parry build!
Summoner here: My Skeletal Brutes have 30k HP, 75% phys reduction, 83% all res, and regen 6k life per second thanks to my Skeletal clerics backing them up. They aren't smart enough to block or dodge roll, but that doesn't make it any less terrifying to see them get one or two-shot by regular white monsters in maps, nevermind rares or bosses. It's rare for them not to die and respawn several dozen times per map. You have my sympathy for playing melee.
I feel like people are playing different games. I've seen videos of people using Reavers (not as tanky as brutes) storming through T15 maps without dying at all.
meele player here, and this is all my feelings... in one video! and then I rolled a monk and its almost fun.. but meele is still a pain untill you get the ultra gear late game.
100% agree with how slow warrior animations are , like rolling slam , I’ve just stopped using it altogether now as it just gets you in to trouble too much Am using shield build too so these are great to watch , keep em coming
Infernal cry is good because it gives you 100 percent more damage on next attack so infernal cry then hammer of gods. If you do infernal cry with empowers extra attack node u can stun boss sysmic cry then hammer get huge hammer of gods. Bosses give you instant 100 percent more damage….
It also doesn't add weapon damage to your attack but gives it a multiplier, so 300% damage attack becomes 450% against a single boss or up to 600% at max power. Molten Blast is arguably the best ability for totems to use. One really needs to know all the interactions between skills to make use of them. Your insight into shields here was very helpful.
all the interactions with warrior mechanics are BIZARRELY complicated for stuff that in the end is REALLY simple. You need to understand the difference between 1 handed, 2 handed, dual wielding, holding a shield, is a shield a 1 handed weapon? a 2handed? If you hold a 2 hander in one hand does it become a 1 handed? Etc. etc. All to make your big boom's numbers go up.
@Shinshinvariety I've had the same thoughts. If a shield is a two-handed weapon, that would be super op if it benefited from the two-handed passive nodes! If Giants Blood awards two handed wraps the benefits from one handed passives? That would rock!

You are underestimating Molten Blast a lot. it isn't great to personally use, but you can make your totems use it. There is a build on Mobalitics that makes great use of totems and Molten Blast. you can use Scatter Shot and have 9 projectiles from 3 totems and placing them in different areas. It was a decent video to watch.
I think mobs in this game not problem. my problem with warrior late game. it does not matter if you wear decent armor or not bosses will 1 shot if you don't dodge roll.. So seems there is no point playing defensive just wear best offensive stats and try to finish fight before boss 1 shots you.. or am I missing something?
Im at lvl 50 titan yes death count almost 200 😅 So i cant meet requirement to pick Giants blood, would this magma build work with 1 handed mace + shield Im tired of dying too
It SHOULD, because magma shield doesn't scale with main hand, and boneshatter overkills SO HARD it won't really matter going to 1handed. Someone needs to check if a shield counts 1 handed nodes for damage? Or if it count 2 handed nodes if you're using a 2hander? I haven't tested a lot myself, and it's not something I really understand fully.

Try the poison and corrosion support gems n it melts through 1000 armor easily im lovin that skill

You can interupt long after cast with blocks for instant animation cancel.

I did 2handed to level, then swpaped in to giant's blood + shield once I realized how required it was.

It's jewel crafters, yes. You need 4 and you get it to 20% quality which brings it to 0.7 parry time. VERY important since it's so strong.
