- The RS6 Avant is a wagon on steroids from Audi. On the outside you will find flared fenders, 22in wheels, massive brake rotors and 8-piston calipers. On the inside you will be greeted by a full leather interior, digital gauge cluster and plenty of cargo room. Under the hood is a 4.0L V8 that pumps out 591HP & is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Is the 2022 Audi RS6 Avant a BETTER performance car than a BMW M5?

The RS6 Avant is what’s gotten me really into wagons. Used to think they were big and lazy looking, but man they look nice!

I think C5, C6 and C7 design were more towards as a sleeper, while C8 they transform it to an aggressive and sporty feeling wagon. Same RS6 is the car that made me love wagons
I can tell how special a vehicle is by the intensity on Joe’s face when he’s carving those turns…:) I recently had the pleasure of seeing an RS6 Avant in a local dealership, and the red color is even more spectacular in person....kind of a cherry red.

What an awesome wagon! I wish there were more performance wagons instead of so many SUV’s. The lower center of gravity makes handling better and no worry of rollovers. Thanks for sharing it Joe. Nice job you and Lori as usual! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸

I agree with you. Nobody's making sedans or wagons anymore, it's all suv's and electric. Nice to see Audi's looking out for guys like us that are still out there. Unfortunately, this car is a bit out of my league.
You are correct about lower center of gravity, but most drivers are ignorant, know very little about driving dynamics and are also too fat to fit into sporty wagons, such as this. The price of these Euro wagons don't help them to sell either. Way over $100k? That's in Ferrari territory!

Here in Europe wagons are really popular, especially performance ones😜 What i wish we would have, are more of your amazing muscle cars, full size suv's and pickup trucks. On the other hand, they would not fit on our narrow streets😂 Sorry if i misspell. I'm Belgian, English is not my native language😅
$119k sounds like a bargain! Was seriously considering the Nissan Versa, but this definitely changes my plans 😂
Well I’d spend this amount (if I scored big on crypto) over some of the overpriced trucks that are out there (ford 150 ltd , Dodge Ram TRX )

Definitely a dream wagon...always loved it! Hot styling, excellent performance and utility, as well as safety via the all wheel drive makes it a top dog.
I was anxious to see one here in my country Puerto Rico, we have pretty good cars here but never seen a RS Avant and like couple months ago saw the first one here passing by after I let my boy at school and saw the wide body wagon coming on the other side of the road looks so menacing color was like dark grey with tinted windows to had black badge Audi!! I almost passed out when saw it passing by my side Holy Jesus Christ!!!. This wagon is stunning!! Good work Man Raiti's deserves the 1M subscribers.

At one time, BMW and Audi made incredible wagons (in manual transmission btw), and now they’re convinced that the majority of us in the USA want only SUVs. Simply not true. You can still find them in Europe, Canada and Mexico but you cannot import them here. Bummer. This RS6 Avant is incredible but for most of us, it’s cost prohibitive! Great job on the video, love your work!

Awesome review as usual! I’ve never seen the On Throttle grin and giggles turn into deadly serious focus like that on any other review ha ha. Grip for days in the RS6. If I had $119G in the bank account, this car would absolutely be my choice. Love it!

Joe, awesome work sir!!! Well, as an Owner of a 2021 rs6, I would NEVER trade my RS6 and get a M5, I'm not saying that the M5 is a bad car, no, it is awesome. The RS6 is a legend, it basically led the performance wagon category to what it is Today.

Such a sexy fast wagon. Audi needs to bring some more RS models to the states especially their wagons. Shame it's only sold in Europe :(

This is an awesome car. And this video is one of the very few that demonstrates how it runs in a curvy road. Everybody can drive this car in a German Autobahn with no speed limit. It is just a matter of a throttle pedal.

The g wagon is a suv though not a wagon and that's a off road beast the rs6 isnt its just a fast wagon
@@mattmekhaeil every Tom Dick and Harry drives a G-wagen; it’s the default choice for any pretentious rich person. And how many of these G-wagens do you think are actually used for off roading? The Audi is a sleek, sexy, fast car that’s much better looking and far less common than the G-wagen.

Plan to buy one later this year. Will likely have to order it because of the color combination I want..Would you believe there is an optional factory brake UPGRADE (!) and an optional factory sport exhaust. I don't think this red one has either option....and fully optioned it's well over 140k
This car looks stunning in red. If it had black wheels, it whould look even better by the way. When it comes to Audi models . My favorite is the r8 with the v10 and the new Audi e Tron sedan . Thanks for bringing this.

Lovely looking car. Is there still the two suspension options with this 2022 model as was with the 2021 model as in Air Suspension or Springs? I assume there is. The one thing have always loved with Audi and also Mercedes is that they have both nailed the interior mood lighting. In the RS6 one feature really love is how the seatbelt fasteners have a light ring around them so you can find them in the dark :) As to comparing to the BMW M5 hmmm i guess as there is not another true wagon in this class it is about as close as you will get. Possibly the Mercedes.... A great review thank you for sharing it with us :)
This thing looks and sounds badass, but 220k plus in Oz for gobs of gloss black, the rear wiper and fake vents at the back, just can't come at that. Great review as always Joe

Now most people should already know about the Audi A6 Avant and that it is a crazy "performance" station wagon that can beat sports cars and win (some) drag races (and be luxurious and practical at the same time).
But anyways, the Audi A6 Avant is one of the most powerful and "craziest" station wagons in the world. With competitors like the Porsche Panamera cross turismo, Mercedes-Benz AMG E63 estate (and way before in the pass some Cadillac's and BMW's).
But what would you choose a Audi A6 Avant, Mercedes-Benz AMG E63 estate, Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-hybrid cross turismo (aka hybrid Porsche Panamera Turbo S station wagon), or the (rumored) BMW M3 touring.
(There is also competitors like the Volvo, Volkswagen and more Audi station wagons.)
I am so glad that we could bring it to you!
Don't forget the Alpina B5 Touring, it has V8 engine with 621 HP and 320 km/h max speed. It's closest thing we will ever get to a BMW M5 Touring.

Simply breathtaking.
I have a rough idea of what he experienced with this car....I had a B7 RS4 that was a beast! I totalled it coming around a bend, caught some gravel, oversteered and it was all over! Thing had about 77K miles on it too.... it was fun while it lasted but it has kept me out of powerful engine cars since then. I was glad to walk away with just two broken fingers and a dislocated clavicle bone.

Joe, this is SO much cooler than ANY SUV! I think this is outstanding looking. Exceptional design and if people need extra space, they should be buying sport wagons, not hideous shoe box SUV's.

As a European living in North America, I hear you. Wagons were always my top pick but damn you North Americans, you keep buying those SUVs, which killed practically all wagons here in North America. In EU you can get a wagon from any brand. Even a BMW M3 wagon.
@@zedzedski7382 Truth is many Americans are too fat to fit into normal sedan vehicles. Their diets ruined them and now they practically need armored vehicles to carry themselves and their over weight kids to work and school. There is nothing cool about any SUV. No matter which brand makes it, they are simply shoe boxes up in the air with four tires.
@@zedzedski7382 There is no M3 wagon. You can buy Alpine B3 but that's not based on M3 but M340i xdrive. BMW said it makes no sense for them to make M wagons, since Audi owns wagon market so they made a choice to have limo or coupe in M cars.
