Tyres do the braking, the rotors and pads just slow the rotation and absorb the kinetic energy, converting it to heat. Please do a comparison video of several cars, all within a realistic 25k-35k budget. But choose cars that are specified to one thing, such as it’s speed (acceleration and top speed) (Golf R or A45), another that focussed on it tech (Tesla), another that focuses on its looks and style (Mustang), another that’s comfy to drive (BMW 4 series) etc. at the end of the video you could decide which is the best for value and what you would get for that price? It’s just an idea I’ve come up with because this is the situation I’m in at the moment and have no idea what to get aha
I really don't see the point in putting so much power into a family estate car or any family car to be honest. There is nowhere in the UK (except the mountain on the Isle of Man) you can use this legally on the roads, the fuel consumption is horrific and the road tax is massive, plus the price of the car is insane for the average punter. Why don't manufacturers invest their time and money into making cars safer, self driving technologies, more economic, better recyclable materials, increased reliability, longer warranties, easier and cheaper servicing etc. This is bad enough but over 1000 hp for a Tesla on UK roads? This is madness and I can see it being legislated against.
For every performance car they sell, they probably sell 1000 economical family cars. These fast performance cars also heavily influence how much sales they get for their cheaper cars . Same principle as win on Sunday, sell on Monday in car racing. Plus, rich people need places to spend their money so there will always be a market for these 'ridiculous' cars.
I'm more of a BMW guy, but the RSs have occupied a big part of my mind for years and years. Next year I just might get one. As a family all rounder, it's almost perfect. Flawless aesthetic design, loads of space for all the luggage we pack when we go to Greece, POWA and performance for me, strong sound system, beautiful panoramic sunroof... What I don't like is the MASSIVE weight, not rear wheel drive, not manual... If such an estate existed with all the boxes ticked...
I'll keep my fully optioned Tango Red 22' RS6 plus mines near 800hp now & dailies still better than anything! Absolutely love my RS6 & even in USA the tango red so rare. The performance basically has @100lbs less over mine that's it. Not to mention who at Audi let them out Hanook tires on it!!
I just woke up to the RS6/7 models. This is the best bang for the cash all over. This is a Panamera in disguise, but for less money!!! German quality and reliability, combined with mad performance, and best of it all, it's suitable as a daily driver as well. Just not made up my mind if I prefer the beautiful RS7 or the practical RS6 (which by no means is ugly). If I would trust my heart, I would go for RS7, while my brain says RS6. My gut feeling says RS7 as well, since long gone are the days when practicality needs to be taken in consideration.
I absolutely love, l-o-v-e, LOVE this freaking car! 😍🤤 If I won the lottery, I'd scoop it up in a heartbeat as the costs of longterm ownership would not be a concern. Until then, I'll happily keep my 500 and salivate about the RS6 from afar. 😀

Its quick but BMW is on another level. The M5 competition which came out 5 years ago was pushing fractionally quicker times than this RS6 performance. BMW is on another level to its competition.
I love my BMW, but I’ve ordered this car because BMW currently has nothing to compete with it in NA. And while I love speed it’s not the only factor or even the most important one for a daily. Drive an M3 in traffic or a normal road… it loses its appeal, but yea it’s wild fun when you have the right conditions.
3,2 0-60 is basicly exactly the same time as m5 comp in every German test. Biggest advantage is, that the m5 is around 200kg less, but only 5hp less. Who cares if the rs6 is some 10th of a second slower than m5? If so, everyone would buy gt63s, which beats even m5 cs on Nordschleife
I like the Audi, practical, oh lost to the Ferrari by 1 second in the quarter mile but does 30 more things! I don’t care for the rear styling, not sure what could change? That’s your green Audi Matt , Jaguar green 🐆

Mercedes is something else as always
@@beinjar5634 but, honestly, the Panamera was on another level. That car was so fast and planted that it was hard to believe it was a full sized luxury sedan. Ridiculously overpowered, I had the hybrid version, but never lacking in confidence. Textbook Porsche.
You're living my dream
Matt: It's the ultimate version of itself because it has more power and less weight!
*Kerosene playing in the background*
In all seriousness, this is such a cool car. It has a ton of power and a ton of practicality. Such a good car overall.
Agree. It has 571bhp like RUF CTR2.
The perfect family rocket wagon🤤🤤🤤
Agree. It also rivalled Legacy B4 RSK and RUF BTR4 in terms of performance spec.
One of my favourite audi car. And one of my favourite channels!
Have an Rs6 vs Rs6 performance would like to see the difference
It would be interesting how much the clutch and brake pads wear for 1 lap in racing circuit or after many drag races
Not really, it’s a 2 tonne car nobody sensible is going to attempt to track it
Yes my fav wagon/estate car 2 is the e63 amg
The old one( c7) is the best car Audi ever made, even people at Audi themself are saying this is the best car they ever made. I will keep mine...
why is it better in your appinion?
I want one after Mats' review. What a beast 😅.
Matt or the car?
Audi have always produced the best Wagons. Having said that, the new M3 wagon is a masterpiece.
At this point when I see an Audi, Mat comes to mind INSTANTLY
Audi knows the best like Porsche.
Kerosene start playing
Audis performance been on the steady lncrease
Sick car. That’s nuts you can’t get it in red anymore.
Just wrap it bro
@@ghaithhmood431 a wrap looks shit mate
nice video mat 👍
I'd like to see this drag race the old RS6 Performance, just to see the difference 😁👌
I could have sworn they tested the old one at 3.15?
Great review per usual💯♥️
Agree. Wish Matt Watson reviewed the rare cars like RUF CR3 and BTR4.
With custom tune and bolt on you can unlock 1000hp out from the engine :)
Who remembers when matt ruined the tyres in the f90 m5 when it first came out 😂😂
Audi RS4 B7. The last Audi V8 manual.
Classic and best Audi RS in my opinion.
absolute beauty 😮
Yep. Like RUF CTR2.
Quality review as always, had the c7 bought the c8 performance carbon vorsprung today. Love them
So this car did an 11.37 1/4 mile while an M3 touring did an 11.4. Curious...
there is a 11.1 on this channel same as m5
I like this 'new' means of doing the review as you go instead of first talking us through the features then driving...
Legends know the thumbnail has been changed 😎
I just woke up to the RS6/7 models. This is the best bang for the cash all over. This is a Panamera in disguise, but for less money!!! German quality and reliability, combined with mad performance, and best of it all, it's suitable as a daily driver as well. Just not made up my mind if I prefer the beautiful RS7 or the practical RS6 (which by no means is ugly). If I would trust my heart, I would go for RS7, while my brain says RS6. My gut feeling says RS7 as well, since long gone are the days when practicality needs to be taken in consideration.
We definitely need a RS6 C7 Perf vs RS6 C8 Perf drag race!
Don't forget the RS7
When are you dropping the TEG?
I absolutely love, l-o-v-e, LOVE this freaking car! 😍🤤 If I won the lottery, I'd scoop it up in a heartbeat as the costs of longterm ownership would not be a concern. Until then, I'll happily keep my 500 and salivate about the RS6 from afar. 😀
Agree. This Audi RS6 Performante has some amazing spec like even RUF CTR2.
The m5 touring just came out and it's made me fall in love with this car so much more.
Alexa play “kerosene” by Crystal Castles
No German car can Hold a candle to Audi in terms of performance and drive feel. The Rs models of all Audi cars are a joy to drive... Never mind the front heavy artiliary of Mercedes and BMW, AUDI is their boss and they know it..
My dream Audi RS6... 😍😍
0-60 as fast as my GT-R...impressive!! I love this thing...
Please do all the performance test with rs7.... Or do a drag race rs6 vs rs7 performance.... Need to find the diff tho same engine and power it may effect differently cause of diff weight, and design
Why i remembered Normal German guy testing 300km crash test☠️☠️
Pointless having drift driving on the road, the car is keeping you safe Matt, although you was kind to the RS,il be kind😂have a good day👍💯🙏
A drift on this car is a joke.
0:12 mo phawah bebeh!!!
Its quick but BMW is on another level. The M5 competition which came out 5 years ago was pushing fractionally quicker times than this RS6 performance. BMW is on another level to its competition.
@@djstuc Fanboy due to BMWs performance advantage over Audi on pretty much every model
@@DickeJunge_vonderSchaukel M3 competition estate beats the standard RS6 1/4 mile how do you explain that
@riazhussain2333 it's called physics. Power to weight ratio is better on m3. Simple and easy
I like the Audi, practical, oh lost to the Ferrari by 1 second in the quarter mile but does 30 more things! I don’t care for the rear styling, not sure what could change? That’s your green Audi Matt , Jaguar green 🐆
Rs6 c7 performance for ever …!!❤
Love my Tango Red RS6! Plus I did mine better than "performance" now little over 800hp. Like Matt said red is SO rare I've not seen another
Does anyone fancy an Audi RS8 Spyder instead?
Makes more sense if you do not want a family wagon with wife kids and dog etc.
What happened to the audio when there footage of the car driving at the end of the video .
kerosene.
I miss the aggressive wide body shape of the outgoing model
Beware of going 300km😳
😐
Hi Mark. Can you made a dragrace between Rs6 and Panamera turbo gt. Thank you
Mercedes looks like a mini-van.
M5 looks exactly like a 5 series. Only car guys can distinguish m5 from a base 5 series.
Rs6 theres nothing like it.
The other cars maybe lighter faster but the rs6 is a gorgeous car that i can take and pickup the kiddos from school while having groceries in the back comfortably.
It's a sad time knowing that the next RS6 will be electric 😢while the next M5 will retain a fantastic ice v8 with electric assistance why can't audi do the same?
Does it have the stupid lane keep assist that you have to turn off EVERY time you get in the car??
Excellent car bro ❤❤❤❤
