Just started watching your videos because of your Alone victory. I am a huge pea soup fan, always made mine with ham here in Northern New England. I am going to try it with beef this winter. I will also try the whole peas.

In my family we call doughboys, "dumplings"!
My Mom often put them on top of split pea soup and stews, and cooked blueberries, which we called Blueberry dumplings! Always a looked forward to topping!
When camping or on canoe trips, or at the hunt camp we made dumplings from boxed "Bisquick" mix. Just follow the recipe for "drop biscuits" and you're good to go!
Great video, all the best to you and your family!

Better the second day I'm sure! Looked great. Like the Turnip added and whole dried peas. No salt beef here, but a great big ham bone in there. Ever try putting a couple of whole cloves in pea soup? I said 'No Way' first time and then I tried it. Excellent addition.

First time I have come across your videos (Nov 28, 2020) and may I say they are very good. Your audio really leaves something to be desired though. Would you consider either wearing a mic or install a proper one to your video camera system? We really want to hear what you are saying but at times I have to turn my volume up to 80 and I still can't make out what you are saying. Love this pea soup recipe... thanks.
