Mess with the striker a little first. If that’s not improving it then loosen the door and get out the Jack. Oh, and do it on the ground if you can. Having the car on jackstands can put strain on the body and cause your adjustment to be in error. Learned that the hard way.
It’s pretty easy. You can try just moving the door strikers up a little first. You might find you are happy with that before you get the jack and block of wood out.
In my case on this old girl, the bottom hinge needs changed all together. It has an integral setup that serves as the door holder opener? Idk what to call it. The thing that stops the door from flopping around at will. I have a parts car I may steal it from. I’m not sure if the fender would have to be removed for it. I’m probably way too lazy to do that right now.
My driver door is a pain. Thank you for making a video on how to fix these old things haha.
