Kreator - Pleasure to Kill was the most Brutal Proto Death Metal prior to Cannibal Corpse - Butchered At Birth. Morbid Angel - Desolation - Altars is Black Metal. Blessed Are the Sick was the first Death Metal album by Morbid Angel. And the influence Butchered At Birth had on Blessed Are the Sick was undeniable. Also I would have picked Immolation - Dawn of Possession, or Grave - Into the Grave as first actual Death Metal albums, but they were released after Butchered At Birth. Butchered At Birth is the most influential release since Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath.

Saw Exhumed in Des Moines, IA. Stood next to Matt during Traffic Death performance. He’s shorter than I thought😂(I have that MN Scandinavian blood in me, just 6ft, that’s like average in MN) Right in front of Ross for the performance. Held my Hemdale/Exhumed spilt that Hells just reissued and he gave me the horns!!!

Matt Harvey’s argument about Seven Churches being the first death metal album is very detailed and articulate. I totally agree and don’t really have the argument with others ever but it all makes sense. It was so blistering and vicious compared to their peers of Forbidden, Vio-lence, Exodus etc.

I was at that Knoxville show. Matt and Ross we're not kidding about the show being total anarchy. It was a crazy night indeed. Most intense crowd I've seen at the brickyard in Knoxville. Sadly, the brickyard venue is now closed, it shut down barely 2 weeks after the Exhumed show.

Many drinks have that same tint/hue/coloration, I'd say "no" to your limited-scope assessment on that call. We need to hear directly from Mr. Sewage.

Unfortunately I have only seen Exhumed once in 2012. It wasn't my favorite line up though. I always wanted to see Ross with Exhumed. The REAL deal! I've seen GHOUL but I really wanted to see the Exhumed that got me into the band or at least as close as I could get....ROSS. The only time he toured with the band and actually came to my state, I was playing an out of state show. Again... Since he hasn't been on the date of my state. For a band that tours nonstop, I have the worst timing.
