Forestry for the Birds - Minnesota and Michigan

On May 9th, 2024, The Forestry for Birds coordinators in Michigan and Minnesota gave an update on the results and benefits of these programs in each state. This presentation begins with Forestry for Minnesota Birds Coordinator, Christian Nelson with the Forest Stewards Guild, giving an update on the development of resources for the state of Minnesota. The second half of the presentation is given by the Forestry for Michigan Birds coordinator, Michael Paling with American Bird Conservancy. Michael provides examples on how the Forestry for the Michigan Birds program is promoting a suite of data-driven forest management techniques and educational tools across the state.
