  • Two Connecticut barbers are being hailed as heroes for saving a little girl from running into a busy intersection. Apparently, the toddler slipped away from her mom at a bus stop down the street from the barbershop. The mother reportedly took her eye off her daughter for just a second and did not even realize she was gone. Osvaldo Lugo and Rafael Santana were taking care of customers when they ran out the door to save the toddler. Inside Edition’s Les Trent has more.

Announcer says mom took her eyes off the child for 1 second, but barbers say when they found mom a few minutes later, mom had not realized the little girl had slipped away. So, she didn't realize her daughter was even missing for a few MINUTES until the barbers located the mom. Taking your eyes off a child for 1 second is understandable, but not knowing the child is even missing for a few minutes is not acceptable.

Exactly…that’s what I just wrote as well. If she only looked away for 1 second she would have seen the child running away and chased after her and probably caught her…but she’s no where. I used to have to chase after my son because he’s autistic and used to take off running if he got out of my grip….that happened in 1 second and I was always right behind him tying to catch him….then I finally bought a child leash so he couldn’t do that anymore. But yes….there’s no way she was paying any attention at all to her child for this to happen.

That happened with my son. Last year, when he was 3 years old, he opened the door cause someone forgot to lock it and just ran all the way to the street next to the house we stayed in back then! A woman/a guardian angel - God bless her wherever she maybe ❤ - stopped her car on the other side of the traffic, left her car running to catch him before he got the chance to try and cross the street! 😢😢😢 my heart aches every time I remember this incident!. God bless our kids and those heroes! ❤❤❤

It's not the child's fault.. she doesn't need discipline.... she needs a mother that will pay attention to her child... all toddlers do this.. they're fast little humans. That's why you don't let go of their hands. She didn't even realize her kid was gone. That's poor parenting at it's finest.. I don't blame a toddler who's brain is still developing.. she doesn't know any better.I blame the adult that was supposed to be watching her.
