14-year-old beast on drums. They opened this 3-song set with Unmendable which really showcased Pau's drumming. Great!

In an interview in Spanish some time ago, they were asked what was the good and the bad of The Warning. They replied: The good thing is that we are sisters. And the bad? they hesitated for a few moments, then Ale (the bassist) said: that we are sisters as well. Silence for a second then all three burst out laughing to confirm that it was funny but true. I think this gives a good idea of what their relationship is like as sisters and as a band.

Pau has some rasp in her voice for sure, my favorite comment about her is she reminds people of animal from the muppets if he was on drums 😂😂🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘
Consider that they were 16, 14 and 11 when this was done. Now figure that Pau writes many of the rough drafts of their songs and the other girls work collaboratively through the process. Pau sings lead on about 20% of their songs. They ALL play piano, they all sing, they all write. Total package. You should check out Dust to Dust, The End or Nacissista if you want more Pau singing. Or check out her piano/vocal cover of Creep (just her).

Nice! This the song that hooked many fans including me. Pau has a rasp. They were 17, 15, and 12. This was a TED talk at the University of Nevada Reno. They did two other songs as part of this set and talked in between about their struggles. You shoul do the song Unmendable from the same concert. Pau really shines during the outro on that one.
My band took awhile to get this good. Me and my friends decided to form a heavy or nu metal band to express our emotions and get the anger out. There was 7 of us, all guys. I was the vocalist, Rojas was the bassist, David and Josh were the rhythm guitarists, Jonathan was the lead guitarist, rendon was the drummer, and Thomas was the keyboardist or synthesizer. Took 9 weeks of watching lessons on RUclips for them to sound good, meanwhile I had to start writing songs and we had to make the instruments rhythms match. Eventually we got good. We didn't have amplifiers tho.

If you guys really wanna hear Paus raspy vocals at its best then try her cover of Radioheads "Creep" (watch right til the end),or "Black Holes" a song she wrote about depression when she was 13 (her writing skills are unreal),both songs feature Pau on keyboards.
This is the one that got me, this and their Foro Didi concert, hooked for life. You missed it, at 3:20 Pau breaks a stick, then recovers like a professional, you also didn't say anything about the fact that she's playing in heels. The best part of this song is Dany's exit riff and the human tornado on the drums. I've also said that about their voices, they blend together well. They also have another Tedx show before this one, just FYI. thanks guys

Their 2nd album, Queen of the Murder Scene, is a concept album that tells the story of a girl's descent from love to obsession, stalking, murder, and madness. Dust to Dust is the intro, with Pau singing lead while drumming furiously. I'm recommend the Lunario videos as my personal preference.
Awesome reaction. This is the song and performance that hooked me 3 years ago.
Pau's voice is more of a voice for Broadway. She is more of a "belter", but has a strong, full tone, and a rasp that she can control. Such a great voice.
Dany has a much "Brighter" voice than Pau, and a VERY wide vocal range. Her voice is very sweet, but she can put SO MUCH emotion into her singing.
Ale has a "rich" and smooth tone to her voice. It is a treat to hear Ale singing lead, on the rare occasions that she does.
The three together compliment one another perfectly. One of my favorite songs to show off their harmonies is called, "Our Mistakes" from their first album, XXI Century Blood.

If you wanna hear a great example of Pau's voice (I believe the word you were looking for to describe her voice was raspy), then you should check out her cover of the Radiohead song Creep.

When last they were touring, they were still using this song as a closer a lot. You can see (hear) why.

If you closed your eyes, you would've sworn U2's The Edge joined them onstage- Dany is freaking rock guitarist- and how she jams. She made that guitar start like a falcon and then dive a 130mph through those cords. Thunderheads growing with baby Ale's bass and Pau.... lord... Pau... thought several times she was going to destroy her drum kit- Commander Pau and like you both said- their voices, their harmony, perfect execution, perfect hand-offs. Great reaction gents- many thanks. Goosebumps every single time I watch this performance and your reactions are spot-on.
At the end where ya talk about if they fight or not -- in interviews they have said they are very opinionated and each has their own ideas of what sounds best which can lead to a lot of arguments and getting angry with each other. But they said that is one of the best advantages of being in a band with family--they can be brutally honest with each other and get into heated arguments at times but at the end of the day they're still sisters, still love each other and still in it together.

Check out Narcisista. It’s their first Spanish language song written as an FU to critics complaining that they were culturally selling out by singing in English.
Pau's voice has the 'grit' behind it, while Dany's is more melodic? Probably the best analogy. They do compliment each other, as well as Ale's backup harmony. Like a lot of Warning fans, this is the performance that really reeled me in. I had seen the Enter Sandman video and the performance on 'Ellen' and all that, but the original tunes they played at the 2017 TedX performance were the clincher for me! Best sister act in music history in my opinion.😁 Great reactions you guys!! 🤘😎🤘

Honey Mustard Chipotle! Good description. Great reaction, BUT... you didn't let the song run to the end! Also, the drummer's name isn't Pauline (French). It's Paulina (Spanish). This was their second TEDx Talk. They did one in 2016, and that video netted the most views on the TEDx Talks channel, and so they were invited back. during the performance paus drumstick broke and you can see it flying accross the room she calmly kept drumming and replaced the stick with a backup stick by her feet

Narcisista and Dust to Dust are two fan favourites. The former is their only spanish song (until the new album comes out that is!) the latter is the opener of their album Queen of the Murder Scene, which is a concept album with a pretty cool and very dark story line. Maybe check it out entirely in order? 😉😊

In case you were concerned you might not be normal, you can take solace in the fact nobody has ever reacted to Survive and not bobbed their head at the jam. I've found it changes from head bobbing to actual jumping around sometimes, as my The Warning obsession has Evolved. Pun intended. ; )

Assuming that she had written this song an year earlier to this performance in February 2017 I just can't even wrap my mind around how a 13 year old can have such mature understanding of relationships, break-ups et al. And then bring that anger, frustration into her delivery while pounding the drums in complex sequences. When I was her age I had also read numerous classics from all over the world - Dostoyevsky, Tolstoi, Maupassant, Dickens - the whole lot. But never did I ever analyze, absorb & assimilate those in the way Pau had.
Genius.
BTW I am tri-lingual like most urban educated Indians.
What fascinates me is the way the Villarreal sisters have picked up the American accent with a Southern drawl, if I am not wrong.
And the main language of Latin America isn't Latin but Spanish. Brazil being a major exception though.

By coincidence, Pau in portuguese is the word for "wood stick", very appropriate for a drimmer whose instrument is played with wood sticks.

I don´t know what is most difficult to sing while playing drums or use high heels while playing drums.
They are all super sweet girls from what I have seen. I was watching an interview last night and they were asked if they ever fight. They said about as bad as it gets is who has to go to the hotel lobby and pick up the uber eats. If they can't come to a conclusion they all three go LOL.
