    It’s a very remarkable city.
You missed mentioning the people who are living in Cardiff “simply they’re beautiful people”.

The Norwegian Church was originally built for Norwegian sailors - the port had a busy trade importing Norwegian timber for pit props in the coal mines. The church was originally in a slightly different location, but was re-sited and extended when the Bay was developed.

As a local artist I thought I'd share some music stuff, if you're into indie grassroots music venues there is a street called Womanby Street where you'll find venues like Clwb Ifor Bach (everyone from Coldplay to Skrillex have played this venue before getting known). On this same street are The Moon and Fuel (slightly heavier venues) and if you're into jazz & blues then bootlegger is your place. You'll also find live music sometimes upstairs at Tiny Rebel which is a microbrewery. Then slightly outside of the main town is Tramshed a larger venue.
Hope this helps any music fans out there looking for a club night or some live bands. Also if you're visiting and want to get a gift for someone that's arty and supports local talent then Cardiff Creative Shop in queens arcade, it's all independent so you're supporting local businesses/artists.

Enjoyed this video Ninh, have myself visited Cardiff a few years ago and done most of what is featured in the video. Spent a few days in Wales and will admit Cardiff is one of my favourite British cities. The Cardiff Bay part brought back some good memories although when I visited the weather were significantly better. And yes the Millennium Stadium tour is worth every penny, when it comes to rugby I'm a France fan but boy the Welsh team surely has a nice home ground, in fact the whole city is rugby mad. Unfortunately didn't get the chance to do the Cardiff City FC stadium tour, but next time it's a must.

By far my biggest hack when going to cardiff is catching the aquabus. It runs every hour on the hour from Bute Park (by the entertance to the park, close to the rugby stadium) to Cardiff Bay. (Half past the hour in the returning direction). Costs £6 per person each way (£3 children) and you essentially get transport and an attraction in one.

This is fairly unique in the UK with its collection of white Portland stone buildings - along with the Mall in Washington DC, it was used as one of the major inspirations for the design of New Delhi - and is built around Alexandra Gardens. Other omissions included Roath Park (with it's lake and botanical gardens) and... most significantly... St Fagans with its castle and national folk museum that's certainly well worth a visit.
For those without a car, getting from Cardiff to Caerphilly (to see the castle) is easy and fairly quick by train.

Nice video, although a little condescending, esp. if u r from Cardiff.
Cardiff City Stadium is NOT built on the site of the former Ninian Park... It was only a few hundred yards away, the other side of Sloper Road, though.
Also missed out that Castell Coch is a 'folly' built by the Bute Family, that owned most of Cardiff, incl. the docks & Cardiff Castle. The 1st £1 Million cheque was signed in Cardiff docks, when it was at it's height - shipping coal around the world!
Also never mentioned St Fagan's - the Welsh National Museum of History - which, admittedly, is on the north-west edge of the city, but well worth a visit - a lot of it is outdoors.
And, never mentioned the Civic Centre, beside Cardiff Castle, where the iconic buildings of the City Hall; the National Museum of Wales - which WAS mentioned, I believe - the Law Courts; & University stand.
There was also no mention of the beautiful Roath Park, to the north-east of the centre.
Additionally, Cardiff Bay was created by a Barrage that you can walk over, as the Bristol Channel, outside it, has the 2nd highest tidal range in the world, and would otherwise be mud flats for half the day.

Disappointing that you have to call this video 'condescending', especially given the bloated diatribe you just wrote. In short: this wasn't a concise compendium of everything in Cardiff - no video on RUclips would ever cover that. This video wasn't made for people like you: it was made for tourists that have never even heard of Cardiff, let alone know what's there.

I'm guessing the only reason you went on single track roads to Castell Coch is because you came from the direction of Caerphilly. Castell Coch is right off the M4/A470 juction and if you come from that way it is a couple of minutes through a standard village with proper roads (they even have markings too hahaha). As for Caerphilly castle, it is the largest and its very easy to get to by train from Cardiff so no need to drive.

It’s a stunning and significant piece of architecture (both environmentally and for recent history) that’s well worth visit. If you manage to go on a day when the Senedd is out of session, you can enter the chamber and get a true feel for how brilliant the building is both in design and use. For anyone interested in architecture, history, or even just taking in an area then the Senedd is an absolute must.

@@UltimateBucketList I'm sorry. But like the person you replied to, I very much disagree with you about the Senedd and very much agree with that person about the building, the way it's designed and the type of democracy it's supposed to (and does) deliver.
And if you genuinely think that the Senedd operates in anything like the same way that Westminster does (in or out of the chamber) then I respectfully say to you that you haven't paid any attention at all and that in this regard, you literally know so little that it would've been highly advisable to say nothing at all.
The fact that draw similarities between the way that the Senedd and Westminster function - characterised the way that you have - tells me that you haven't actually any real experience of witnessing the Senedd at work. Or understood why the design of that building facilitates a style of of government that is everything that Westminster is supposed to be but fails miserably at: for the reasons that you actually did identify.
And friend: I worked for HM Government (in the Treasury Building) just across the street from the Palace of Westminster, so trust me: you have no idea. And it shows. I, on the other hand, was immediately struck by how different the system and the Senedd works in Wales. And was very impressed by the difference in tone and conduct within the chamber, as well as the accessibility of proceedings and Senedd members to the public. That's a whole different world from the visitors gallery in the House of Commons. You're comparing apples with oranges.
