Didn't work. No way to turn off the voice control for Siri without turning her off completely, including deactivating her while holding the home button. Apple just gets worse by the day.

Android does the same thing. I started using iPhone because Android insists on opening the Google assistant. When I turn it off it then sends a notification to turn the assistant on. My iPhone wasn’t doing this until the new iOS update.
