  • Join me as I explore the Ashby to Derby Line from the start of the Cloud Trail in Worthington going back towards Lount Colliery. In Part 5 I will take the line all the way back to Ashby where it ultimately joined the Ivanhoe Line.

Alas Bridge 37, we at least had the pleasure of knowing you before you eventually fall apart. These bridges are really clinging on for dear life, and it’s good to see someone (ie: you) documenting them whilst they still stand. Hopefully you can sort out the gimbal problem!

Thank you and thanks as always for watching. I was amazed by this one as I lived in Ashby for 23 years and knew nothing about it! Yes it is forgotten by many and sadly is slowly disintegrating. Thank again, more from this series coming soon 👍

By the looks of bridge 37 the Farmer must take his life in his hands every time he crosses it!!! A nice peaceful walk in the Leicestershire countryside, great that you've documented it.

I think sadly that the surviving infrastructure is decaying so quickly that many features will soon be lost forever. A lovely walk though that continues in the next video 👍

@@MiddyExplores Spring is in the air, but it has been terrible with rain affecting a lot of places. And safety always comes first. I haven't been down the GCR in months in Rugby as that can get flooded during heavy rain. But I will venture down there again after Easter as Rainsbrook is my favourite spot 🌄
