- A pair of seniors from Durham Region said they are taking legal action after a video showed the two seniors being tackled to the ground by police and hospital staff. CityNews' Ginella Massa has the details.
Sue Lake ridge health don't take your family members there.
Hope Canadians are starting to see police force here is the same as in the USA.
Protect and serve no one.
VENØM WE 'R' They do protect corporations. Oh, and if Antifa wants to burn down buildings, the police will protect them.
Patient: Am going to leave.
Hospital: Heck no, we'll lose money.
What was the suspicion they being arrested for ? Walking slowly? 🤯
Sue their pants off and then sue them again.
You can't have police watching other police even if ones bad the other will stand behind him .
Don’t defund the police guys, we need them for stuff like this. Sure, they don’t stop crime, but attacking senior citizens is just as important.
Fnf jrkrjr When I see videos of police violently attacking elderly people, I know my tax dollars are well spent. Along with funding mainstream propaganda media for assisting the Rockefeller Foundation plandemic.
@@theredboneking that wasnt a violent attack though. It was pretty standard. Had they complied
Tiny Mustache Is Back comply or die. Just because you put on a uniform and wear a badge doesn’t give you the right to harm another human being. Police and Government need to back off.
@@theredboneking lol and doesnt mean acab because you have your own personal vendettas. You know how many times ive literally had my face stomped by police? More than once eh.
What the he'll is this World becoming?
Lakeridge Health: Stay away. Or you will be worse off.
To the nurse in this video: You should've gone to the doctor to ask them if the elderly couple were released and then let them go. Instead, you decided to ask the cops in this video to assault them. In fact, you and the cops should all go to jail for assault and battery.
Nurse Karen
Good twist of words.......Doctor said they "Could leave" Or Doctor to them "To leave"
We can't even move of our own free will without getting brutalized.
@@marknewman1050 that's a deflection. Even if that was the case are you saying we deserve we to be mistreated?
@@watchthis12day oh blk men are shot by blk police officers alot more than white police officers by the way so lets not pretend that you're actually being hunted out here by the police. Thats a lie. 100 percent. Victim mentality.
@@marknewman1050men lie women lie, but numbers don't. Show me those stats supporting your claim.
@@watchthis12day lol you really don't wanna see these numbers because youll be mistaken i have a chart somewhere maybe ill type it out in the am
@@marknewman1050 maybe you will maybe you won't. Like I said i numbers don't lie and your claim does not add up.
There are 2 sides to every story. What did the senior couple do? They had to have did something to warrant arrest and resisted to warrant force
No they didn't. That's drps donkeys for you. Uneducated hot heads
The cops and hospital staff in this video should go to jail for assaulting two elderly people for no reason.
Can we start suing the individuals or take the money out of the pig retirement fund?
IMO> I guess these cops will discuss with each other, it's because of their helping ,(Hands-On), approach that the older coupe were so lucky to be closer to the hospital than on their way home?. After leaving, look who needs first aid just minutes later?
Another one sided story....
Please explain the "other side"...
Defund the corrupt police
I hope DRPS holds these officers accountable for their actions as this could have been handled way better. All I'm getting at it suing the police won't change a thing, maybe for the victims for physical and mental damages but at the end of the day, the police will hand over our tax dollars and pay them off and this will to continue to happen to people who won't stand up for misconduct like this because they're homeless, don't have the finances to do so and/or don't have the mental capacity to understand what's happening.
If they on form 1 under the mental health act the hospital has the right to attempt them to stop leaving and if the patient does leave then the police are contacted and the person is placed on form 9 which gives the right for the officer to apprehend the individual(s) and bring them back to the hospital. It could have been a miscommunication, this is no excuse for the police conduct but its not a matter of who fault it is. This is a matter of if our healthcare systems being up to date and speed with communications throughout the entire emergency department/units. The police will get dealt with but these issues are still going to come up if the healthcare system doesn't change. Nursing staff are constantly abused by patients coming in which leaves little room for compassion with other people. Working 12 hours and caring for 15 patients at a time and almost half are verbally and physically abused for hours which causes nursing staff to lose focus on what they signed up for. I work in an emergency department and have witnessed this first hand on a daily basis. Our healthcare systems need a revamp when dealing with seniors, mental health and abusive patients.
Needless to say, people need to learn when to come into an emergency department and when to talk to your family doctor as our overloaded healthcare system will continue to make mistakes causing situations like this.
This is like clockwork for most healthcare workers this stuff happens on a daily basis this couple just decided to stand up to the police.
What do you call this in one word
Unbelievable ,unbelievable. Police really need reform. Shame
Call Jesse Jackson call Al sharpton and call your weak Congressional Black caucus
they just won the lotto
*grabbs pitchfork*
They shouldn’t have resisted the illegal arrest. They deserve to have their human rights abused for choosing to leave the hospital. - police state lackies
what is going on with police and people of colour lately?
Dismantle the police state!
Show the full video! There is always two sides of the story.
What's the other side of the story?
And I'm sure the timing of this story has nothing to do with capitalizing on current world events.
People need to stop jumping to conclusions based and media agendas and start demanding proper journalism.
Maybe if they didn't resist arrest the wouldn't have been subdued.
New User yeah they shouldn’t resist an illegal arrest. This isn’t your communist country.
@@torkayromlou7716 see at least someone understood 👍
So it’s a crime to leave a hospital if you’re black ??? God help me when I have to pick up my mom after her surgery 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
My Channel so don’t call out injustice ??? Just sit back and take it ?? Nah
Karen &kkkops
Classic
Black Canadians are trying to make money off of what’s happening in the states and it’s getting out of hand
If this happend to your grandparents would you do the same thing
I feel like this is lacking some context as it always does. 2 years later they're just trying to take advantage. Fake hate crimes everywhere.
What context are you missing?
@@watchthis12day why they were actually stopped.
@@marknewman1050 Their lawyer said that nurses stopped them from leaving AFTER they were cleared to leave by the doctor. Then they were forcibly taken down by the cops. They did mention that the family was trying to get justice for over a year...does bringing this to the news now mean that they're taking advantage of recent police scrutiny? Sure. Does it make what the police did right? No.
@@KardiFan2000 yes and their lawyer looks like hes ready to pounce on any opportunity like a vulture. Im not justifying what the police did but I think that there is some facts being withheld if the officers were not let go from their jobs, and you can never trust city news. Trying to provoke a war.
@Heywood Jablowme lol is that what rly happened
These two are shady because why would you decide to file a lawsuit over a year after it happened, and also when the black community doesn't care about authority or anyone but themselves
TKnHappyNess that’s the best excuse you could think of, racist?
FYI. In those cases you have upto two years to file complaint. Nothing shady about that😊
