How do you do this if you have multiple locations in the file that the name can be placed? i.e., in your example, it would be multiple locations to be assigned to that are in multiple contiguous ranges

You use the list in a column. Is it possible to use the same list in different cells that they are not in the same column. For example i want to use the list in cells D3 to D7 (as you do) but also in cells A3 to A5.
Good video. How would I use same list on multiple tabs? For example... baseball roster. 100 kids, 10 kids per team. I would like to pull 10 kids with drop down on a tab, then go to the next team tab, and have it use the remaining names of player. Then next tab only sees remaining names. How would one do this?

What if I have two names that are the same? The formula is deleting both names instead of only one, for example if I have two(2) Peter, it will delete both.

What if I want to create a drop down list that hides used items in multiple columns.
For example: Lets say I want to assign a task for each day of the week, for each Team member?
Using your example in the video in column C the 'Tasks' remain the same, Column D 'Assigned to' is changed to Monday, Column E is Tuesday, Column F is Wednesday and so on, and the 'Team' members are put on a separate work sheet titled 'Employees'
I have used the following formula for 'Monday' column and has worked but I don't know how to use it for all other columns
=IF(COUNTIF('WEEK 1'!$D$3:$D$102,A1)>=1,"",ROW())
=IF(ROW(A1)-ROW(A$1)+1>COUNT(B$1:B$46),"",INDEX(A:A,SMALL(B$1:B$46,1+ROW(A1)-ROW(A$1))))
Please note: I have the list of Team members on a separate sheet.

FILTER function is a part of Office (Microsoft) 365 subscription.
You can also try Excel online which is free.
What is an alternative if no Filter function is available in the used Excel version?

Then you should contact Microsoft Support
i copied the same way, but i got error message. it says functions in invalid. i have excel 2013. any suggestions
FILTER function and all other dynamic array functions are only available for users with Office 365 Subscription. I suggest upgrading to Office (Microsoft) 365.
