- Plan was to ride a conservative first lap, conserve energy and let other people make mistakes and wear themselves out. Was working well for me until I hit the last hill climb of the course. Just didn't have the technique/skill to make it up. I definitely deserved the 11th-place finish with my performance. I wasn't pushing an aggressive pace and I clearly need to work on my hill climbs.
Congrats to the top finishers, you guys earned it! Big thank you to all the volunteers who put this together. It was a well-coordinated race and a lot of fun.
Great ride Matt 👍
Good to see you out on the course for once and in good spirits after that last hill climb! I think I ran into nearly everyone from our group on this one. Another fun weekend with the boys!
Absolutely! We’re out there to have fun! I was cool seeing the whole crew at various points in the race.
Thanks for the shout out! great start man! damaged my shoulder so i didnt make it to the race. super disappointed.
You’re an animal! Hopefully you heal up quickly. Hope to see you at Lytton.
The “easy out” wasn’t so easy! I thought I was the only one who struggled on it.
Lol
Haha, no there were many of us 😅
NJ Matt, Glad we had fun out there! If you railed that climb woulda been a different story!
awesome video
That last hill was gnar. Cant imagine how ugly it wou;ld have been if it didnt rain! A lot of bikes in the way to get a good run at it.
I really needed to take a minute and line up a proper approach and slip the clutch to stop the engine from bogging. Just a lack of experience with this kinda riding
lol I thought I was the only one audibly talking to myself during the races.
Looked like a fun race, and no dust lol
Yeah I’ll take the rain and cool weather over dust any day!
How on earth do you race so much man it’s super impressive!! As always love watching what you put out!
I even record some drone footage for you and totally forgot to include it in the video. Was just too facking tired after the three hour drive home. Maybe next time!
Amazing start and you have so much more bravery than me. I just don't dare carry as much speed in the slick greasy rocks.
Thanks for the kind words, Russ. Congrats on your 8th place finish and amazing work on that hill climb!
Unbelievable fast …
